My wife and I had a wonderful weekend at Misty Mountain. Lila met us on arrival and showed us around the place. Later Karen came and offered to prepare a Breakfast basket since we would be up and gone before the regular breakfast time. The room was great, the bed was quite confortable, and the service was outstanding! We will definitely return! Thanks!!

This B&B has it all! Clean, quiet, great breakfast, beautiful views, and awesome hospitality! We loved hearing personal stories about the local Moonshiner Legend Popcorn Sutton. The stories almost made the man come alive! Advice about where to visit in the area allowed us to see things most visitors would never find. We highly recommend Misty Mountain B&B!

My husband and I couldn't afford to take a honeymoon after we got married in October, so we chose to save up for our getaway. We couldn't resist these tiny little houses/cottages. We had more than enough room for just the two of us. The staff was friendly, kind and warm. We will definitely be back to enjoy the creekside sound that warmed our hearts. Pierre & Amy O'Neal
These reviews are great--- when your here, all we know is that we do our best in every way to accommodate everyone. Then like a prize----we get a review such as yours, and it makes us all feel proud of the things you say. Actually we sit in the office together and kind of pat ourselves on the back for JOB WELL DONE.. Thanks to Karen(owner) and Lila(assistant innkeeper) and then me GEORGE (Gen.Mgr.) Hope we keep getting nice people like yourselves.

My fiance and I live in Atlanta and always love traveling to Maggie Valley for a quick getaway weekend. We had never stayed at Misty Mountain Ranch before and were a little hesitant to try a new place. However, Karen, Lila and George were all phenomenal hosts! Not to mention the room was cozy, super clean, welcoming and just what we were looking for in a relaxing vacation. The duck pond is sweet and a fantastic touch to the location. Breakfast was always delicious and again, the company was wonderful. We have a new favorite spot and we'll definitely be returning soon! Thanks so much guys!

This is a nice place to stay and relax. We stayed in the cabin this time and the stay was pleasant. The mattress was a little uncomfortable and some adjustments had to be made. But overall you can't beat the relaxing view of the valley and the hillsides that surround this place. Very peaceful place and the owner and staff are pleasant .
We are certainly glad to hear the nice words about your stay and the area, where we are located. I am I must admit a bit disappointed with your overall review. The only detrimental entry you made was on the bed being a little uncomfortable. If you recall you emailed our office --which We responded to within the hour. Our thoughts were for your comfort and a pleasant stay. Once we arrived at the cabin you indicated that you were all right about the bed (within 6 mos. old) and didn't want to move to another cabin or cause a problem. Once that was told to us you at that time indicated that, if you could put some other type padding such as the mattress off of the Futon you would be quite satisfied. We allowed that immediately, and your stay seemed to go off without any other type of problems. You left us a close feeling at the time you were in our office--just talking,we felt we could expect to see both of you again. As did you indicate. I am only sorry that by giving us a mediocre score (3) that this is going to impress future possible guests. I know you meant no harm but I hope that the possible guests read my response,as well. Good luck to both of you and we look forward to see you here again.. With great respect---George,Gen.Mgr.

great place to stay. we took one of the cabins (not B&B - ate our own breakfast). Our cabin was not big (for 4 people), but everything was spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook hot complicated dinners. The view from the cabin was stunning, as it had many windows to 3 directions. We had great weather so were outside most of the time, but we guess it could be also great to stay in. there is also a very nice porch you can eat on. we were 4 : 2 stayed in the bedroom and 2 upstairs in the "children's" section - we could have also used the opening sofa in the living room instead. If you're looking for a nice , not expensive, place to stay with a great view of the mountains - this is it. The host was super friendly. the only downside was that the internet was not working ,and even after telling the host in the morning, it stayed like that until we left the next day. we wouldn't have minded this (came for the mountains not the internet) but the cellular reception was not so good in the area, and one of us had some urgent work to do online.
Really good of you to say such nice things about our place. We try our best when it comes to providing for our guests. The Wi-Fi was out for a couple of days but had you come closer to the B&B,you could have been on a different signal, set up for the B&B. We have a periodic problem being up in the mountains ,our signal is weak(even with a booster). We are changing the location of some of the equipment,in order to get better signal. We'll be ready for you next trip. Appreciate your kind words and hope you will return.

Loved that we were off the beaten path away from the noise however close enough to run out for dinner. Great central location to drive out to other cities such as Ashville or Bryson and be back to our room same day. Karen the owner and her assistant Lila are great hostesses and leave you asking for nothing. They have taken great care in providing all you'll need in the rooms. Both are great company with lots of stories to share.

My family of five stayed in a cabin while skiing over Christmas. It was great! The cabin was warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with all the equipment we needed to cook and relax after a long day of skiing and exploring the area. The cabin was also pet friendly (loved having our dog with us) but incredibly clean. No dog hair or dog smell. The staff checked in on us twice, but did not intrude on our family time. The perfect balance. The only downside was the close proximity between cabins. The cabin was not secluded, but the area was still quiet. I highly recommend staying at Misty Mountain Ranch and vacationing in Maggie Valley, NC. We were able to ski, hike, see waterfalls, feed ducks, watch elk roam in our "back yard", and explore Native American culture in Cherokee.
Thanks very much and please return to see us again.
