Scott and Anne are delightful hosts and their love of serving others is evident as they welcome their guests. Good size rooms to relax. Really enjoyed the lovely flower gardens and rocking on the front porch. The ability to walk to dinner in Boone made it convenient. The food was delicious and efforts were made to accommodate food allergies. Not a small task when multiple guests have different needs on the same day. Ready to go back.
Thank you for taking time to review the Inn and your experience. Enjoyed having you and hope to see you both again on your next trip to the NC High Country!

Girlfriends for 57 years wanted a weekend in the mountains. We really enjoyed our host & hostess. Scott has a wealth of knowledge and knew so many interesting facts about the Lovill House Inn. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was delightful. We enjoyed meeting the other guests as we dined together. The wrap around porch was wonderful as were the beautiful flowers gardens that surround the property.
Thoroughly enjoyed having you both here with us. Loved celebrating your years of friendship together!

My partner and I needed to unwind and regroup after a difficult month. The Spring House cottage at the Lovill House Inn proved the perfect place to do that -- quiet, restful, private, and in absolutely gorgeous natural surroundings! Our hosts, Anne and Scott, were so thoughtful and kind about everything, even making sure we had a special vegetarian main course at the full breakfast. The historic inn itself is beautiful and well cared for, and the wraparound porch is a wonderful place to relax and rock away the outside world. I would definitely choose this inn again, which is both close to downtown Boone and a little removed from the bustle.

My stay at the Lovill house could not have been better. Beautiful grounds, comfortable gorgeous rooms, and very kind innkeepers in Scott and Ann. The price is incredibly affordable for a B&B of this quality: in fact, the price is just affordable period! An easy walk to downtown - a bit less than a mile. We also visited the Lost Province Brewery which is as good a brewery as I have ever visited. The beer was great, and the food was to die for! I highly recommend the Lovill House Inn - there simply isn't a better place to stay in Boone!!! By the way, the rating system here would not let me select the 5th button - only the ones below it. Not sure why, but I would have put a "5" everywhere if I could have.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We love our location close to town and yet having the feel of being out in the country. We think we have the best of both worlds. Glad you felt so also. Hope to see you both again on your next trip to the NC High Country!

I did not want to stay at one of the local hotels, but I wanted to be walking distance to downtown Boone - the Lovill House Inn was the perfect solution. Scott and Anne were very pleasant and I enjoyed talking to them immensely, even though Scott is a Navy veteran instead of an Army veteran - but no one is perfect! My niece will be attending Appalachian State for the next four years and I will continue to stay at the Lovill House Inn. Thank you Scott and Anne!
We of the naval service love the Army 364 days of the year! Seriously, we enjoyed having you both with us. One of the thing we believe is a strong advantage of the Inn is to be so close to the best part of town and university, within walking distance, and yet we have the feel of being out in the country. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with other travelers. Hope to see you again soon!

My sister and I needed a break from the everyday stress and stayed at the Lovill House Inn. From the moment we arrived until the moment we were pulling out of the drive way we knew we had found "our home away from home". The friendship, food and beautiful scenery was amazing. We fell in love with Heidi (the Peecocks shy dog). The peace and quite sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs or listening to the waterfall coming down the side of the mountain, you can find what you are looking for here at Lovill House Inn. Thank you Anne and Scott for an amazing weekend! Until next time....
So glad you enjoyed yourselves. Hope to see you again in the near future.

Just had another great time in the very nice Boone, NC area. The next time we are there, we will be at the Lovill house. You can walk down the hill to a nice restaurant if you so choose.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with other travelers. We love our location on the very edge of town, close enough as you mentioned to walk into the nicest part of the town of Boone with shops, restaurants, entertainment, and of course Appalachian State University with all of its cultural and sporting events. However, we especially love the feel of the property as being away from the hustle and bustle of town, an almost being out in the country feel. So we love having the best of both worlds to share with our guests!

My wife and I discovered The Lovill house online and the reviews were very good, so we decided to give it a try. The Inn is super clean and has a great history , which Scott and Anne will share with guests. Scott and Anne were gracious hosts, very friendly, and super knowledgeable about the area and places to go while staying at the Lovill House. The breakfast was top notch, and the sense of community at breakfast with other guests was refreshing. We would highly is B&B to anyone who is looking to stay in Boone, NC and not stay in a chain hotel/motel. This has been by far THE BEST B&B that my wife and I have visited. We stayed in the Hickory room which is large, has a large full bath with two sinks, a king size bed and a fully functioning fireplace. Even as the house was fully booked, it was quiet, and we had no issues sleeping. We look forward to visiting Scott and Anne at the Lovill house again. You will not be disappointed if you stay at this exceptional B&B.
Thank you for your very kind and thorough review. We love what we do and always hope that our guests will appreciate us going the extra distance for them. Our goal is always to make everyone feel at home! We look forward to seeing you both again on your next visit to the NC High Country!

Inn Keepers Scott and Ann were very enjoyable people. While Scott was serving Ann's delicious breakfast, he visited with the guest and told us wonderful stories about the Inn and the history. I highly recommend this B&B.
Thank you for sharing your experience with other potential guests. Stories we share concerning the inn and its history come from 12 of the great granddaughters and 2 of the great grandsons of Edward Francis Lovill. We love sharing their memories and stories of growing up here since the house was built in 1875. Hope to see you both again in the near future!

We stayed at the Lovill House Inn for 5 days in October, 2016. Scott and Anne were so welcoming and provided Southern hospitality throughout our stay. We felt as if we were right at home! The inn is charming and beautiful. The breakfast we were served each morning was delicious. The grounds were gorgeous and surrounded by magnificent floweres. The inn is conveniently located and easily accessible to all attractions. We were provided maps and Scott gave wonderful recommendations and directions for places to visit and dine.Choosing the Lovill House Inn is the perfect choice for a delightful vacation to visit the Blue Ridge Parkway. We can't wait to return next year!

My husband and I returned to the Lovill House for the 3rd time last week, and it was as lovely as ever. We stayed there for our honeymoon in 2008 and paid a second visit in 2010 - again this time we stayed in the Lenoir Room, which is comfortable and pretty with an antique feel and morning sunlight. Anne and Scott are so welcoming, and will give recommendations for dining as well as trails and hikes and sights to see. They keep the Inn immaculate and cultivate beautiful gardens over the 11 lush acres. We were amazed at the beautiful dahlias blooming in late October. It's all very picturesque, quiet and tranquil. It is simply the perfect B & B, where the hosts are friendly and happy to see you but unobtrusive; where all is clean and perfectly well run; the Inn exudes tranquility of a bygone era, the breakfast is delicious and the other guests are congenial and courteous. We will definitely be returning yet again!
So good to see both of you again! With so many choices we're sincerely touched you choose to return to the Lovill House on multiple visits. Thank you for sharing your experiences with other travelers. Hope to see you again soon on your next trip to the NC High Country!

We loved staying at the Lovill House Inn! Everything was perfect and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Scott and Anne are wonderful hosts and were able to alter my breakfast each day to meet my vegan diet. We loved how close to town we were while feeling like we were in a private mountain retreat. Highly recommended!!!!
We love the convenience and rustic feeling of the property also. Guests last night walked into town for dinner, yet when they returned to sit on the porch at night they felt like they were out in the country. Thank you for taking time to share your thoughts with other travelers!

Anne and Scott were wonderful, and their inn is a beautiful gem! Our room was very comfortable, and they had taken pains to find restaurants to recommend for our dinner (we arrived at dinner time); as well as activities for the next day. We recently booked a stay with Scott and Anne in the Spring Cottage for my wife's Birthday. At first,we had our doubts on booking a stay in separate quarters from the main house, but after arrival and being given a tour of the premises by Scott our doubts were relieved. A comfortable place, with exceptionally thoughtful and gracious innkeepers. They heartily welcomed us by name. After a tour, with mention of the founding of ASU in our very bedroom, we enjoyed a drink on the porch and headed into town (walking) to Vidalia, at Scott's recommendation, for supper. A first-rate experience. The next morning, the good coffee, fresh fruit, and egg casserole were a fantastic start to the day. I hope to return.

Stayed there for a weekend with 4 other couples (yeah, we took over). Great place, great hosts. The rooms were just lovely. Breakfast was fabulous, with Anne being VERY meticulous about the food allergies in our group yet making sure the yum factor was there. Scott gave us some great recommendations for alternative hikes (we had snow/slush factor) and hooked us up with some great restaurants. And no review would be complete without mention of the sweet, sweet dog Heidi - ask about her story!

Had a fabulous weekend: Fri - Sun. House was full, but didn't hear anyone in rooms - ever. Nice layout of rooms. Hosts were generous and accommodated for our food allergies. Very pretty spot. Great location for downtown Boone, near Blowing Rock, and great hiking locations! Hosts are well informed of the area and made us dinner reservations even though we couldn't when we tried. I would definitely return here!

The location of the Lovill House Inn is prime-located just off of King Street right outside of downtown Boone, the grounds are picture perfect as you drive through a narrow entryway to the secret expanse nestled in a valley surrounded in back by a ridge line complete with a waterfall and little stream. The innkeepers Scott and Anne were the embodiment of hospitality and as a bonus to the wonderful accommodations, the most, delicious hot breakfast each morning, they were so knowledgeable about the inn's history. I don't want to give away its secrets...you'll have to visit to see for yourself! You won't be disappointed and you'll probably find me there time and again trying to learn more of the secrets,

We chose this Inn for our 20th anniversary because of the good reviews and we were not disappointed. Conversations with the innkeepers Scott and Anne added to the stay. That is one reason why we like B&Bs rather than hotels. The rooms have modern conveniences but retain their 1875 charm and the breakfasts were anything but boring. It is actually hard to find something negative to say about our stay. We will definitely return.

Stayed in Boone during some terrible rainy weather, but the Lovill House and hosts Scott and Anne kept it from being a wash out! The home is historic, well appointed and so cozy with its fireplaces it made a welcome spot to return to after a wet day. We would have been happy just to read by the fire too. The attention to detail was apparent everywhere, robes, turn down service, info about the area. The hosts were there if you needed them, but granted privacy too. Breakfasts were a standout, savory and sweet offerings at each meal. If it had been pleasant weather, there were plenty of nooks on the property to curl up with a book and listen to the waterfall a few hundred yards away. Just delightful spot, can't imagine staying in Boone and not returning there.

This is what you want a B&B to be like. Nice rooms, friendly and very helpful innkeepers, nice common area and grounds. Breakfast is always good (buffet style) and done in a single seating. Guests typically mingle in the common area with coffee before breakfast.

Our second stay at the Lovill House Inn was sadly only one night, but it was as wonderful as our first stay last year! Scott and Ann are the hosts with the most. Attention to detail is so apparent. Rooms are perfectly appointed and comfortable, breakfast is outstanding and the location within walking distance of downtown Boone can't be beat. I really hate to write such good review because I may not get reservations when I want them because I'm giving away a favorite place!!

Exceptional hosts--Scott is a great source for side trips off the Parkway, and Anne is a breakfast chef extraordinaire--not the usual scrambled eggs and bacon, but delightful gourmet. Little amenities, like coffee cups warmed on a warmer each morning, and access to a fridge stocked with cold beverages, and papers each morning on the living room table.

My wife and I recently completed a three night stay at the Lovill House Inn. We stayed in the Spring House for the duration. It just so happens two other couples with whom we are dear friends from college decided to stay there with us at the same time, so we had a mini-Reunion. The Lovill House Inn is THE BEST bed & breakfast we’ve ever enjoyed. The location in the mountains of western North Carolina is idyllic year round for relaxation in an Inn of this type. June temperatures are very comfortable due to the elevation. No air conditioning needed. We slept very soundly. Local sights, attractions and dining is superb. Scott & Anne Peecook are the most accommodating Innkeepers imaginable. The breakfast every morning is a multi-course feast that exceeds the expectations of the B & BREAKFAST part of the arrangement better than any other Inn we’ve found. Gourmet quality! The grounds of the Lovill House, and the Inn itself are pristine, self-contained, and exceptionally comfortable, with all the amenities of the college town of Boone a short walk away. Boone and surroundings is the kind of locale that will make you wish you lived there. The Lovill House Inn, and Scott & Annie Peecook will treat you to the kind of stay that will get you to come back. Thanks so very much, Scott & Anne! - WTDOOR, NoVa

The moment we drove into the driveway of Lovill House Inn we were wrapped in acres of gardens, trees, flowers, a small waterfall in the rear of the property, and most of all........an authentic welcome from Scott and Anne. Our king bedded room included a working. ready-to-burn, wood fireplace that filled our bedroom with the smells of the Mountains. Breakfast is a sumptuous buffet-style affair that is the way we like to start our day. Scott is a real renaissance man and Anne keeps everything running smoothly as well as can be spotted lovingly tending the gardens. Falling asleep in the afternoon on the hammock in the midst of the green property was a delight. A wrap-around porch with comfortable rocking chairs was a great spot to slow down and smell the flowers. The entire experience was superb!

We found this Bed and Breakfast online. My husband and I love to stay at B&B's and quaint Inns and have frequented these type of places all over the US and abroad. This is our newfound favorite! Our room was delightful and our stay for 3 nights absolutely perfect. The Innkeepers are the best and every detail is thought of and executed with much love and care. The breakfast served each morning was delicious and servings were just right. We prefer to walk while vacationing and it is an easy walk into downtown to eat or shop (or a really quick drive for those who would rather drive). Enjoyed lovely meals and unique shops. Already planning our next trip back to this lovely place!! Highly recommend!!

Its location allowed us to walk to downtown Boone and enjoy the fine dining, history, and the scenery it has to offer. We stayed in the Bristol room, and it was beautiful, historic, and very clean. The innkeepers, Scott and Ann, were the difference maker. Their kindness and courtesy was only barely trumped by their excellent service. They were engaging and very good at anticipating our needs. The breakfast they served us was not generic. It was a well thought out, delicious meal. Lovell House can be romantic for sure, but with it being so close to downtown Boone, it can also be fun and relaxing, if you just want to get away for a few days, as we did. We highly recommend Lovill House!

Visited for my wife's birthday. She had a great time and so did I. Will suggest a stay at the Louvill house for everyone I know looking a great getaway. Scott and Ann (along with Heidi) are super nice folks and they have a beautiful inn, full of history and charm. Super breakfast on Sunday morning. We both enjoyed our stay and our visit with the other guests as well.

Our stay at the Lovill House was absolutely wonderful. There isn't a thing that we would change. We loved our room, Scott and Ann are so friendly and made sure that everything was perfect for us. Will definitely be back.

A house with history, hospitality, and a warming positive atmosphere. We were greeted at the door with a smile and given a brief tour of the house, detailing each room and anything of note that may have happened in that room; for example, in one of the bedrooms the plans and founding of Appalachian State University were created! Our rooms were immaculate, the service was fantastic as was the food, drink, and company. A fire was in the hearth during the morning hours while we sipped on coffee waiting for breakfast, and the grounds contained hiking trails, a water fall, and other out door treats. I would totally stay there again!

Loville House Inn has become our all-time favorite couple get-away. Scott and Ann are by far the most attentive inn keepers we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. They go above and beyond every time to make sure all guests feel as if the inn is theirs to enjoy. The food, there are no words, absolutely delicious is an understatement. I highly recommend the Loville House Inn for anyone that is looking for awesome get-away.

This was our first B & B experience. Our room was spotless. I am a clean freak & the entire Inn met all my expectations. Hope to come back real soon! I have recommended The Lovill House Inn to many of my friends. Kathy. & Bobby. West Columbia, SC

My husband and I spent two lovely nights in the Spring House. It is detached from the main house with its own deck. We had unbelievably warm weather for December in Boone and enjoyed the deck. Scott and Anne were warm hosts and made scrumptious breakfasts. We rate Lovill House as one of the best of many B and Bs we have stayed in. Great location with a short walk to downtown Boone or a 20 minute drive to Blowing Rock. Lots to do close by. Go see Anne and Scott. You'll be glad you did!!

great spot in Boone, close to King Street. Wonderful inn keepers, just terrific people and very good at what they do. I would definitely recommend.
Thank you for sharing your comments with us and other guests. Would love to have you back the next time you are in the NC High Country.

The Lovill House Inn is a beautiful home filled with warm cozy décor. Scott and Anne were perfect hosts and made our stay delightful. Our room, the Hickory, was spacious and fit the three of us easily. They both went out of their way to offer suggestions regarding places to go/things to do, and they were willing to adjust the breakfast schedule to accommodate our travel schedule. I would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. We plan to return soon.
Thank you for for taking time to share your insights on your experience with us. Would love to have you back anytime, and especially in other warmer seasons as our gardens return in the spring and summer.

We absolutely loved our time at the Lovill House Inn and highly recommend a visit there. Anne & Scott are wonderful hosts, very friendly, and their hospitality is unmatched. You truly feel like you are there for a visit with great friends you have known for a long time. While they respect your privacy at all times, they make you feel right at home and welcome, like you belong there! Thanks, Scott and Anne, for a great weekend getaway at you home! Clint T.

We stayed at the Lovill House Inn a few weekends ago on our way to a wedding - what a fantastic stop! Scott and Anne are amazing - so lovely and welcoming and full of great local knowledge and ideas for dining and other activities! Our room was lovely, very clean, warm, and welcoming. And the location of the Inn is perfect - so close to downtown Boone, but it feels like you are completely secluded. We loved our stay - and even though we had originally planned for this to just be a one-off trip to Boone, we are already talking about when we can come back! Thanks Scott and Anne - what a lovely stay!

We stayed in the cottage. It was exceptional. It was clean, warm, and very cozy. We only stayed one night due to our work schedules, but would have stayed another night, had we had the time. Staff is very accommodating, and friendly.

Our hosts were wonderful. We had a tremendous breakfast, they helped us in with our bags and when we forgot some essential items, Ann overnighted those to us.

We have visited the Lovill House Inn for many years now. It is our fall destination for the change of seasons in the fall. I cannot say enough about the quality of the inn and the service Anne and Scott provide. The grounds are pristine and the rooms are well appointed. I recommend it without any reservation to anyone visiting the Boone NC area.

The Lovill House Inn is just off downtown Boone. It is a lovely setting in a fantastic house. Our room had a fireplace which we took complete advantage of (very romantic for our anniversary!). The breakfasts were yummy and the other guests had some great stories. Anne and Scott are very nice, with a lot of entertaining stories. We would definitely visit again and highly recommend it to anyone.

The Lovill House Inn is a gem in the Bed and Breakfast world. The inn itself is very well maintained, clean, comfortable, historic, and cozy. The location is exceptional. My husband and I were there in October-the leaves were beautiful but also the dahlias blooming on the grounds were breathtaking. There was a lovely fresh dahlia in our room daily. There are many reasons that we like to stay here. The innkeepers Scott and Anne go that extra mile in making your stay enjoyable and relaxing. The breakfasts are awesome. The inn is close to downtown Boone and near Blowing Rock and Banner Elk.so there are always things to do and see; however, one can stay at the inn and have a wonderful time also. We have returned to the Lovill House Inn many times and will continue to do so!
Thank you for your detailed review of the inn. We love our location as you described. Lovill House is truly an in town rural inn. Appreciate your kind comments! We love what we do!

Great find in Boone! The Inn is charming and our room was very comfortable. The hosts/owners are delightful. Our only regret is that we stayed just one night. We would definitely stay there again if/when we return to the area.
Thank you for your kind comments. Come back and enjoy more of the North Carolina High Country area in the near future! Thank you for taking time to review the inn!

Would recommend this lovely B&B to anyone who wants to spend time relaxing in a beautiful setting. The Innkeepers exceed your expectations and their gift of hospitality was amazing. The breakfast meals were wonderful and sharing them with other guests, was very enjoyable. The rooms are lovely and very inviting. Our annual cousins reunion was held there and we all agreed that we will come again.
Thank you for taking time to review the inn. We thoroughly enjoyed having you all here! Your positive energy was contagious! Again, thanks for staying with us and choosing Lovill House Inn as the place for your family reunion.

Lovill House is a lovely immaculate B&B, the décor, the furnishings, the linens, and the restored wooden floors and woodwork throughout the home are beautiful. Best of all were the gracious hosts, Scott and Anne and sharing our time there with the other guests. On top of everything else, the breakfast was delicious. We always stay at Inns and B&Bs and this one is one of our favorites. Barbara & Barbara

Scott and Ann were fantastic hosts. They made special dietary accommodations which can be difficult when the house is full. They were friendly and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations for hikes and dining. The house was beautiful and the flowers were unsurpassed. The location of the house is perfect - within walking distance to the main street. They even shipped small items that we forgot in our room to our next destination. Outstanding service!

We celebrated our 30th Wedding Anniversary for 2 very special nights at Lovill House Inn. Scott and Anne (the owners) had a full house while we were there -- they remained kind, detailed and experts in showing great hospitality! We stayed in the Bristol room -- so lovely and warm. The fireplace in that room was so amazing! Scott made sure that it was ready to be lit, when we returned after a great day of exploring and eating. If you are a foodie, you will enjoy the fine restaurants in Boone and Blowing Rock. One that we really loved was the Best Cellar in Blowing Rock. We are so grateful to have been able to see this beautiful part of the country and also have the pleasure of staying at Lovill House Inn!

This clean and roomy B&B also had a gourmet breakfast. My husband and I walked to downtown Boone for dinner and the artsy happenings in town. It was so close to the shops and restaurants and ASU. The owners were friendly and helpful and allowed us to help ourselves to drinks in the refrig. The property is lovely with lots of benches and rocking chairs to relax and take in the beauty of the area. I would highly recommend this inn to anyone who wants to relax!!

My husband and I traveled with friends to Boone to celebrate both husbands birthdays and spent two wonderful nights at the Lovill House Inn. We wanted to get away to the NC mountains for a little rest and relaxation and decided to give Lovill House Inn in Boon a try...and are we glad we did. The Inn is very nice and beautiful inside and out. Scott and Ann,the innkeepers, were the best...very attentive and polite. We were made to feel like very special guests in their home. The food was great and lots of good company around the breakfast table. We will definitely be going there again. Highly recommend!

We have stayed at the Lovill House Inn on two occasions and have found this location to be extremely convenient to most of the area attractions but at the same time amazingly beautiful and peaceful. The hosts are probably some of the kindest people we have met on our stays at many bed and breakfast accommodations throughout the state. I can't imagine that you would be disappointed in any way.

My girlfriend and I recently spent 3 nights at Lovill House Inn. What a wonderful experience! From the moment we arrived you could see the love that Scott and Anne have for their inn. The grounds were beautifully maintained, with shrubs and flowers everywhere. The house was gorgeous, with a welcoming wrap-around porch and beautiful rooms throughout. Our room, the Hickory, was well appointed and very spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable and the furnishings were very tasteful. The breakfasts were outstanding and diverse. As wonderful as the house, grounds, and food were, what made our stay so nice was the hospitality of Scott and Anne. They made us feel right at home, always greeting us by name and with a smile. They were very attentive, giving us pointers on places to visit and eat and making sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely go back to Lovill House Inn if our travels take us back to Boone. Henry L.

We stayed at the Lovill House Inn to attend the GMHG. The service and stay were both fantastic. My only suggestion concerns the window AC units. The evenings were cool during our stay. The night air was cooler than the AC so the room would get stuffy overnight. I would have preferred to sleep with the windows open instead of having the air on but this did not seem possible. I did not ask Scott or Anne if this was possible so fault could very be mine.
Thank you for your kind words concerning your experience at Lovill House. 4 of our 6 six rooms have both window fans and A/C units during warmer months. For the other two including yours with only two windows in the room we are always happy to change out fan for A/C or the other way around depending on the weather conditions. Hope this is helpful.

This is a delightful sanctuary outside the main street of Boone, NC. Even though it was raining most of my three days I loved staying there, meeting other guests, and sleeping in a wonderfully comfortable bed.Breakfast is outrageously yummy and changes every day. I would definitely come back.

We picked the BEST place to celebrate our anniversary. The cottage behind the main house was quiet and private. Scott and Ann are the world's BEST innkeepers. They are both very personable. Scott has extensive knowledge of what to visit and where to eat in the area. Ann is a superb chef and her decorating skills are clearly visible throughout the B&B. We have Paul Lovill House Inn on the top of our list of places to recommend to friends staying in Boone or Blowing Rock.

We had such a wonderful experience staying at the Lovill House Inn. The hosts were very accommodating and gracious. They offered wonderful advice for sightseeing on our route for the departure day. This was one of the best experiences we have had at a Bed and Breakfast. I highly recommend this location. They have a very nice bathroom facility, too which can make or break a stay (in my estimation). We were in The Hickory room.

We spent a long weekend here in the Spring House Cabin (detached from the B&B) and it was wonderful. The whole premise was clean and Scott and Anne were fantastic hosts, gracious, helpful and not at all overbearing. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast that was different each day with fresh juices and unique offerings as opposed to the usual short order cook meals. They were extremely accommodating, allowing use of the grounds, kitchen area, etc. The cabin was spotless with ample room for a couple looking to get away. The gas fireplace was a great touch to warm up the room on those cold nights. Although the cabin was 30 steps from the main house, it was very quiet and private. We had a great time especially watching Heidi (the house pouch) cruising around the grounds sniffing away. It's a short walk into town so long as you like to walk. Definitely recommend the Lovill House!
5 on January 29, 2014
this is a lovely inn. It is close enough to town to be convenient to all that Boone has to offer...restaurants, shops, museum, more. We only were able to stay one night, but hope to return again soon. It is immaculate and very comfortable. A 5 star inn in our opinion!

We have stayed at the Lovill House for 8 years and have loved every minute. There is no place we would rather spend time relaxing and exploring. The innkeepers, Anne and Scott, love their home and it shows! We have stayed in all of the rooms except the Spring House and each is beautifully decorated and even small details are updated regularly. There are beverages in the frig for the guests in the evenings. Breakfast is delicious and fresh. Anne is a creative cook and will accommodate special dietary needs. My husband is allergic to bananas and Anne always leaves them out of the fresh fruit salad...she remembers even after all these years! Scott cares for the grounds of the inn and Anne has beautiful flower gardens...the lupine and dahlias are gorgeous!! They are friendly, attentive innkeepers and are always ready to suggest fun things to do. They make sure we are ready for the day and turn down our beds each night with Ghirardelli chocolates on the bed! We look forward to our next visit!

An amazing Thanksgiving meal was served and I would love to return for another stay.

My husband and I wanted to go to the Boone area for our anniversary. We found the Lovill House Inn online and liked the looks of it. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owner and shown to a really pretty, clean room. The owner explained the meal times and showed us around the house. The breakfasts were very good and gave us an opportunity to meet other guests. We sat by a lovely fire and visited over coffee before breakfast was served. Before we came for our weekend, the owners recommended several local restaurants and the ones we ate at were outstanding. We look forward to going back!

We've used B&Bs extensively in the US and in France and we can truly say Lovell House is one of the finest we seen. The place is immaculate and very thoughtfully furnished. And the inkeepers, Scott and Ann, are so considerate and helpful. We spent two beautiful nights there in late October and were treated to an early snow storm that made the place even cozier. Hightly recommend!!

We had an outstanding time during our stay at the Lovill House Inn. Ann and Scott greeted us and showed us through the entire property. Our room was clean and just as advertised. My boyfriend and I stayed here on a whim after traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway all day, and boy were we lucky they had availability! Scott and Anne (and Heidi too) are not only hospitable, but are both genuine and lovely. Walking into their home felt like walking into a family member's home. Scott gave us a thorough tour of the house (the oldest in Boone) as soft classical music played in the background. After we chose a restaurant, Anne called for a reservation for us. Conversation was easy going and fun. They truly are two wonderful people! Breakfast, the following morning, was flowing with homemade food and coffee. I almost did not want to leave! This was our first B&B experience and we were definitely spoiled! There is no question that we will be back, and will refer anyone and everyone we know to head their way. Thank you both so very very much!

We only had one night to spend in Boone. Lovill House was ideally located--close enough to be convenient for walking to restaurants & shops, but just far enough off the main drag to be quiet. The Spring House cottage was our own getaway within the getaway.

Everything here is great but the warmth of Ann & Scott, the "family" feel of innkeepers and guests, and the interaction at the communal breakfast (delicious too) stand above most other B & B's.

My husband and I stayed in the Bristol room and absolutely loved it. It was absolutely beautiful, comfortable and we truly felt "at home." We loved our stay even though it was only one night. The Inn is just stunning and the hosts were so gracious and welcoming. We've been to other B&B's but never one like this. We loved the setting, the room was spacious and well designed, the other guests were friendly, the breakfast was delicious and again, the hosts were just wonderful! We will definintely recommend and hope to return soon. Donna and Gary Taylor

The property is awesome. The innkeepers are just wonderful. They want you to be happy with every aspect of your stay.

The service, welcoming hosts and terrific house and location make Lovill House a highly recommended place in Boone. We were not fans of having a dog in the home though, so non-pet lovers beware.

We spent 4 nights at the Lovill House, and really enjoyed ourselves. We had a king room, and the bed was really comfortable. Good location for downtown Boone and its restuarants.

Me and my wife enjoyed a relaxing few days at the Lovill House Inn. Scott and Anne were Awesome. Breakfast was great. We stayed in the Spring House. Nice and quite in the back. Would definitely recommend and stay there again. Thanks Scott and Anne.

The Lovill House is very convenient to Appalachian State University, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain and Grandfather Vineyard! The house and rooms are very comfortable and well appointed and the owners bend over backward to meet your every need. The breakfasts are delicious and filling and a nice way to meet other people traveling to the area. We also made use of the refrigerator available to guests to keep a few items cold. We will be back! My wife and I decided to stay here while on a weekend getaway to Boone. We are so glad we did. Scott and Anne made us feel like family and our room and the house were extremely nice and comfortable. The mix of people coming and going always inspired good conversation. This B & B is now our preferred location to stay when we come up to Boone. Great location, great house, and great innkeepers! We are looking forward to a return stay......

We had the most wonderful experience visit at the Lovill House Inn. Scott and Anne were very helpful with their recommendations for dining and other areas of interest. The breakfast was delightful with delicious food and great company. The gardens and grounds are not to be missed. We will definitely return in the fall.
5 on July 08, 2013
Scott and Anne go the extra mile to make their quest feel at home. This was our second stay at Lovill House and we intend to go back. This is one our favorite places to stay.
4.8 on July 05, 2013
The surroundings were elegant, relaxing and harmonious with nature, which was the majority of the grounds of the property. The owner/proprietors Scott and Anne welcomed us from the minute that we arrived and continued to make us feel welcome until we left the following morning. When they learned that we had to leave very early in the morning, long before the normal breakfast time, they volunteered, indeed insisted, on getting up early and preparing us an early and most delicious breakfast before we left. We felt more like being guests at a friend's home than being in a hotel. Richard B. Watson

The Lovill House was a lovely place to spend a nice weekend in the mountains. The house was beautiful and Anne and Scott were perfect hosts. They were around if you needed them, but otherwise, were kind enough to let you have your space. We will definately stay here again.

Wonderful Inn and wonderful innkeepers. All my. Needs were met above and beyond.
5 on June 23, 2013
We stayed here for my boyfriend's birthday and it was a great experience. The house was beautiful and within walking distance to downtown Boone. The innkeepers were extremely friendly and I felt more like I was staying at "my" mountain house rather than a bed and breakfest. I would suggest the Lovill House to anybody.

My wife and I stay here every year for our anniversary. Scott and Anne are the very best innkeepers that anyone could ask for!!! The food is wonderful and the rooms are top notch. They make our stay very comfortable and enjoyable. We have been staying here 4 out of the last 5 years and they have become part of our family. We look forward to our stay every year and we can't wait until next year to see them again! We recommend them to everyone that is planning a vacation. Outstanding place with extraordinary innkeepers!!!

The Lovill House is a great place to stay. The room was spacious, the breakfast was prepared with care, and the house offers an expansive porch for rocking and relaxing. We also bought the Romance package which included massage, wine, and snacks. The masseuse was outstanding, but they need to definitely upgrade the wine and snacks.

As part of our roadtrip, we visited Boone from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and were pleasantly surprised by what we found at Lovell House Inn. Scott greeted us and toured us around the inn and showed us our room. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We used one of their suggestions for a place to eat, and chose Casa Rustica (also well reviewed on Open Table). They were having a celebrity servers evening, but unfortunately without the celebrities, but the food was great. When Scott rang the bell for breakfast we enjoyed a light but very varied breakfast in pleasant company of other guests. If you stay here, be prepared to meet some very interesting folk. Highly recommended, and we will stay here again on future trips to North Carolina

We recently spent a couple of days at the Lovill House to relax and check out Boone. The innkeepers were very nice and not intrusive, the property was lovely and the house itself was beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and I took advantage of the in room massage and was not disappointed. Our room was exceptionally clean as was the rest of the home. We would certainly stay there again and recommend to others.
5 on June 03, 2013
Lovill House Inn was in a beautiful setting. Scott and Anne made us feel right at home. Also, their dog Heidi was quiet and shy and never barked, but I think she was warming up to us as we left. The breakfast served was delicious. I would recommend this bed and breakfast. It was terrific.

We had a wonderful stay and I would highly recommend this B&B! The room was very nice and the bed was very comfortable - affording a great nights sleep. While breakfast, during both our mornings, was very good - we've found serving buffet style usually falls short for the last few folks in line. Scott and Anne are excellent Inn keepers and Scott provided us with a great orientation to the property. The location was great for our stay and for anyone spending a little time in the smokey mountains. Scott has the Lovill property in excellent condition, one any do-it-yourself yard buff would love to call their own! If you go, pack something a little extra in your pocket - no not money - a doggie treat! Heidi is the Lovill House mascot and protector. A wonderful creature who joins the breakfast crowd each morning and wonders the property as her home. Scott, Annie, & Heidi - thanks again, we enjoyed our visit. Best, James & Toby

Our recent stay at the Lovill House included everything we look for and hope to find in an excellent B&B. We were impressed from the moment we were welcomed by Scott & Anne. They were gracious, warm, and accommodating hosts from beginning to end. The property has been tastefully updated and maintained in order to provide all of the modern conveniences of home, while still maintaining its historic look and feel. The meals were creative and delicious. Without a doubt, one of our best B&B experiences and one we would not hesitate to revisit!

Our son and son-in-law stayed at Lovill House Inn (located in Boone, NC) last year and enjoyed their stay so much they gave my husband a gift certificate for his birthday. We finally had a chance to use it this year on April 12. The building and the grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. We were made to feel very at home with a tour of the house, an invitation to explor the grounds, a library of movies, and being welcome to use the glasses and refrigerator. After a very cozy night's rest we were delighted to have a very delicious breakfast in the Inn's dining room. We recommend Lovill House Inn to everyone. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer and had to return home-albeit for my husband's surprise 50th birthday party. We plan to return again and again.

We spent 4 days and 3 nights at the Lovill House Inn from April 21st thru April 24th. The grounds were perfectly manicured and beautiful. The Springhouse Cottage was very cozy. The cottage was immaculate. Scott and Anne were very attentive to our request for privacy. Scott delivered coffee to our cottage each morning and was always cheerful and most accommodating when questioned about area attractions and dining options. The experience far exceeded our expectations. Our visit was much too short but we will surely return. We didn't utilize the dining room every day but when we did the variety and quality of food offered was excellent. There isn't much more we can say other than try it you'll like it. Thanks Anne and Scott for a great experience and for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

We've been visiting Anne and Scott for more than 6 years. They are the best at making you feel comfortable and relaxed. They are not just innkeepers - they are dearest friends who know how to make you have a relaxing stay.

The Lovill House Inn in Boone is incredible! The owner greeted us and showed us around the main house as well as giving us a tour of the cottage that we had reserved. I suggest that anyone spending some time in Boone, book a reservation with Lovill House Inn. It is perfect.

Lovill House was not only ideal in it's location to enjoy Boone and the surrounding area, but it was a beautiful place to spend time in. We were welcomed from the moment we arrived and all our needs were met with care and attention. Our room far exceeded our expectations and the breakfasts were outstanding. Every day there was something new and unique on the menu, cooked to perfection for us to enjoy. We will wholeheartedly be recommending Lovill House to family & friends and may even be back ourselves! Thank you.

5 on March 29, 2013
My wife and I were celebrating our first anniversary, so I surprised her with a trip to this lovely and picturesque B&B just outside downtown Boone. When I made the reservation on their website, there was limited room available, so I took the only room they had. I also ordered a couple of optional services (champagne and handmade chocolate covered strawberries after dinner the first night, and an hour-long massage followed by champagne and a meat/cheese tray on the second day). I then received a call from Scott confirming the reservation and scheduling for the options. A little later on, I received an email from Anne offering us an upgrade to the Hickory room. Apparently they had a last minute cancellation, and since it was our anniversary, they offered it to us first. It was PERFECT!!! It had a switch-on fireplace, loveseat, and beautiful decor. Scott and Anne were amazing hosts, and the breakfast was spectacular! On our last day, we were the only ones in the house, so Anne asked us the day before what we liked for breakfast, and she made a custom breakfast for each of us! We WILL be returning! The Lovill is certainly more expensive than most hotels I've stayed at in Boone, but the obvious love that Scott and Anne put into their service make it really feel like going home.

My wife and I stayed at the Lovill House from 3/15/13-3/17/13 and it was awesome! We celebrated my wife's birthday and enjoyed the company of some other great guests. A light snowfall throughout our Valentine's weekend set the stage for a quiet rest in this fantastic Inn. Scott and Anne were warm and welcoming throughout our stay. Everything was as good or better than described. Other guests helped make the weekend memorable.

Very homey and cozy place. Our room was very nice and comfortable. I liked the size of the inn - just enough couples to talk and get to know one another. Not too large. Breakfasts were very tasty. Scott provided lots of help and info on things to do in the area and also history of the inn. Best of all, it snowed while we were there (we were hoping it would!) and when we arrived back at the inn at 10pm Sat. in a snow storm, Scott and Ann were waiting up for us to make sure we made it safely. They were out shoveling snow to make us a path to the house! Nice folks! We'll be back.

Stayed in the Bristol room 1/26/13 It was a 20th anniversary celebration. The house is clean, historically interesting, and the grounds were nature at it's best. Scott and Anne went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Simply put it could not have been a better time. The Lovill House, with a library, music, movies and fire places was one of the best places we have ever stayed...I got the extra's package and it was well priced and well presented. If you have a bad time here, It's your fault.....LOVED IT!

We stayed two nights at the Lovill house in October and just can't say enough about this lovely B&B. From the time we were greeted at the front door until we ended our visit, the proprietors, Scott and Anne (and Heidi, their beautiful dog), did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. We stayed in the Bristol Room, which had a huge fireplace, plenty of storage, and a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious and beverages were always available in the refrigerator. The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained and the wrap-around porch was a wonderful place to sit and relax. Anne and Scott suggested various restaurants for our evening meals and we took their advice to eat at Casa Rustica and at Char. The food was delicious at both places.

My husband and I stayed at the Lovill House Inn for 2 nights in October 2012 and was so pleased with the stay. The moment you walk through the front door Scott and Anne make you feel so welcome. The home is beautiful and very clean. Did I mention the home was very clean! The morning coffee in front of the wood fireplace was so relaxing. Breakfast was excellent! Our room "Linville" was very large with a nice bathroom. The Lovill House is also close to the many attractions, but we were so glad we went in the Fall and enjoyed the trees in their full color on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I would recommend staying at the Lovill House Inn and will stay again on our next sourthern trip! D Starkey - Sistersville, WV

The Inn Keepers were very personable and accomidating. Our visit was more pleasant of an experience than we could have wished for. We will be sure to return in the future as we can not see staying in a hotel with such comfort and atmosphere at our finger tips there at the Lovill House Inn.
5 on October 23, 2012
Great rooms and location, but the really big draw here is the innkeepers and the hospitality. Breakfast is always special and served communally at 8:30. The guests mingle beforehand and breakfast conversations are lively. If you want to know what's worth seeing here, or anywhere else the guests have travelled, this is the way to do it. Hat's off to Anne and Scott. This was our 3rd visit and there will certainly be many more.
4.6 on October 23, 2012
We visited the Lovill House Inn and Boone for a short weekend in hopes to see the October leaves at their finest. The B&B is located at the end of the main street making it a great location without being right in the middle of the busy Boone village. The grounds are beautiful and Scott the innkeeper is very helpful with new visitors to the area telling them about the area, things to see and of course the easiest ways to get there. We would love to go back and have an opportunity to spend more time and do more relaxing.
5 on October 22, 2012
Our sixth trip to The Lovill House Inn was just as lovely as our first with the exception that the breakfasts were even more delicious! The inn has always been so clean and beautifully kept with new furnishings, updated room decor and lovely gardens! The dahlias are gorgeous. There were always several scattered about in the inn and in our room as well. We love sharing breakfast with the other guests and letting the conversation drift to family, work, restaurants and activities in the area, and even recipes! Thanks to Anne and Scott, the innkeepers and our friends, we have always had great suggestions for fun! This year, they suggested a bicycle ride on The Virginia Creeper Trail because they had done it and enjoyed it so much. We loved it! All these years we have never tired of the area and really look forward to our visit! We enjoy sitting in the cozy living room reading and listening to music after dinner. It is truly our home away from home!

My husband and I recently experienced our first stay at the Lovill House Inn. We had never stayed in a bed and breakfast before then, and were lucky enough to be spoiled by the experience our first go round. We will definitely be back!
4.0 on August 10, 2012
I think it best to start with the critical, if only because there are few and they are simple in nature. While there are many comforts and built in amenities, the per night cost is a bit a high. There do not seem to be any advantageous discounts to most that would certainly benefit the operators such as a credit or discount for booking a certain amount in advance or filling last minute vacancies (that otherwise would have been unfilled for the night) or to frequent guests or those who provide multiple referrals (i.e. additional business) etc, etc.. The breakfast served, while tasty, is nothing that will shock and amaze you. The amenities such as beverages, media (dvds, videos, tv, etc), parking, and such are of a similar experience. While discounts are limited, for the right person, the price is a deal. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The common areas and rooms are not only tidy and clean but extremely relaxing. The kitchen is always stocked with beverages of all sorts from soda to beer to wine complimentary to current guests. There is also a library of DVDs and videos with a wide range of options that is free of charge. The caretakers/owners are pleasant and accommodating. While there are an array of materials to reference for possible local food and entertainment, they are also a valuable resource. The location itself makes it feel as if you are deep in the mountains but are within walking distance of the main thoroughfare and ASU. For those that don’t mind the cost, the proximity to Boone proper is prime. For guests such as us, avid readers, it is all we need. It has the feel and comforts of home but the solace and solitude of a resort. With rooms that have plushy furnishings, outdoor benches, swings, etc, and a fully furnished wrap around porch it is a reader’s or crafter’s haven! While we will probably only budget an occasional visit this is certainly a place we plan to stay again!

We loved having our own private room but eating breakfast with the house was great! We got to talk a lot with the other guests and bumped into them while we were downtown-- makes it feel less touristy. The innkeepers were so friendly and approachable. We can't wait to make this an annual vacation!

The Lovill House Inn was a delight to find and exceeded our expectations. Boone's oldest home is rich in history and beautifully restored. Exquisite gardens, apple trees with deer feeding on the fruit, rocking chairs on the front porch, hardwood floors, comfortable beds with luxury linen, private yet very convenient to downtown, and very gracious hosts all make for a delightful stay. We will go back.

Hosts were very friendly and wonderful. The gardens surrounding the home are so beautiful. The room was completely clean and nice. I'm very picky so sometimes have to clean rooms before I feel comfortable, but I didn't have to do that here!! Food was perfect. Complimentary drinks. Great location. Very special place and weekend and can't wait to go back again!!

This is a lovely bed and breakfast. It is one of the oldest buildings in Boone with a wonderful wrap-around porch. The owners Scott and Anne are friendly and very helpful and Anne cooks up a delicious breakfast and is attentive to dietary restrictions. Be aware that it is close to town -- which is convenient but there is some road noise. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in away from home and the rooms seemed to be sound-proofed. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful time at Lovill House Inn. Great Location, the grounds and gardens were kept up impeccably. We saw bunnies everyday and even a beautiful deer. Scott and Anne were wonderful hosts and treated everyone like family. The best thing is the story of Heidi, the luckiest dog in the world....

Travellers from around the world stay at the Lovill House and I now know why. The Inn and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Anne and Scott were wonderful hosts and very helpful in answering all my questions. The Inn is located at the south end of Boone convenient to routes that take you to many sightseeing locations. I would highly recommend the Lovill House Inn and will certainly return.

We enjoyed our stay Lovill House and if we are in the area again would certainly stay there. I do have a little problem with the star rating as my stay there met my expectations and as far as I'm concerned that is what I expect and am happy with. Perhaps "Met my expectations" should be four stars.

Beautiful old house, conveniently (and quietly) located at the outskirts of Boone, very close to major attractions (Blue Ridge Parkway!). With innkeepers like Anne & Scott nothing can go wrong: they provide you with the most detailed and complete directions from the first email-contact on and they're experts on the region, know the best attractions, the best restaurants (try nearby Vidalia!), and are great cooks as well (great breakfast). Above all this: nice, clean, airy and big rooms, every inch a quality inn! We'll be back! Wim,Serge, Natan Brussels, Belgium

My wife and I enjoyed a two night stay at Lovill House Inn while attending our son's freshman orientation at Appalachian State University. Our only regret is that the faculty at App State kept us so busy that we didn't get as much time at the property as we would have liked. But...we already have reservations for August over the weekend of our son's "move-in date"...and will then take full advantage! The innkeepers could not have been more kind and caring...Kevin & Debbie Bakewell

The breakfast each morning was amazing and we couldn't have asked for better service. We expected to spend money but it was well worth it. Our room was so cozy and perfect for our retreat away from home.

This place is wonderful! The Inn was beautiful, the breakfast was delectable, the room was outstanding, but best of all, were the innkeepers Scott and Anne. I made plans to propose to my fiancée in the NC Mountains sometime in early 2012. After thoroughly searching around the web and asking for recommendations, I decided to give the Lovill House Inn a call. I called the inn later into the evening on a Wednesday night and Scott answered. I told him my plans and from the beginning, he was very helpful and jovial. Quickly into our call, I knew this was the place. Scott and I concocted our plans and over the next few weeks, he helped me make our wonderful weekend happen. Later into a Friday evening, we arrived at the inn and Scott gave us a wonderful tour. During the tour, we were taken in by the beautiful house. He made us feel right at home and helped us to our room. We both loved the place right away. Both weekend mornings, Anne prepared a scrumptious breakfast. There were plenty of options and we left full and happy. Scott and Anne are incredibly interesting and have many wonderful stories to share. They encourage guests to meet and great. They treat everyone with respect and provide outstanding customer service. Both provided my fiancée and me with great advice and tips about the area. We look forward to our next visit back to the Inn for the wonderful time as well as to see our friends Scott and Anne. -Jack Michel (4/23/2012)

Lovill house is an amazing B&B the history to the town of Boone and the House is very interesting. The Bristol Room we stayed in was fantastic very quaint and cozy with its own wood burning fire place for a wonderful romantic experience. The servive is supurb Scott, Ann and their staff are wonderful and extremely friendly making everyone feel comfortable and at home. The place is spotless, the livingroom with its grand fire place and wonderful light hearted music playing makes for a great meeting place and very relaxing. The dining experience well what can we say the food Anne prepares is wonderful she is an amazing cook. The fruit the serve with breakfast is extremely fresh and the atmosphere is great. I highly recommend Lovill House to anyone wanted to have one of the best experiences they will ever have at a B&B, and there prices are very reasonable we will be returning first chase we get.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for New Years Eve and were extremely happy with not only the service and the Bristol Room, but we were also surprised to find how close we were to downtown Boone and King St. Lovill House is about a 10 minute walk to shopping and dining. It most definitely made for a convenient New Years celebration. It's worth mentioning the Bristol Room is filled with charm and history, being that the Lovill House is the oldest house in Boone, NC. The wood burning fireplace was a plus for us and the main reason we chose this room above all others. It's nostalgic charm and cozy feel made getting up for breakfast extremely hard, but worth it. Scott and Ann are lovely innkeepers and I would recommend this B&B to anyone looking for something not too tucked away for some city slicker action but just enough to enjoy 10 acres of exploring. Most definitely a home away from home.

We recently stayed at the Lovill House and it was an incredible experience. The Inn is incredible with beautiful grounds, wonderful atmosphere and top notch hospitality. We arrived early and received a map to our Christmas Tree location. When we returned our room was ready, received a tour of the grounds and even saw a 6 point buck outside the back door. We will be going back again and hope to make it a yearly event. Loved it!!!

We have stayed at many B&B's over the past 20 years. The Lovill House Inn is a great location for an APPState football weekend. Close enough to downtown to walk, but secluded enough for quiet relaxation. We liked having the buffett breakfast for choices. It was also nice to come down to breakfast have a cup of coffee first and be ablt to chat with other quest. Scott and Anne are very nice innkeepers!!!!1

We just returned from a trip to Boone and a visit to the Lovill House Inn. From the moment we arrived, Scott and Anne treated us as old friends and were happy to help us with information on restaurants, outings, etc. The breakfasts were outstanding, and there was a choice of light fare (yogurt, fruit) and/or egg dishes and breads. We also got a tip from Scott for a great deli which packed sandwiches for our hiking trip. We will definitely be back. Bruce and Pat

We stayed in the Spring House for a weekend getaway to celebrate our 1st year anniversary. The small cottage met our expectations and then some. Great privacy while also providing us all of the amenities of the main house. The small touches provided by Scott and Anne, such as chocolate-covered strawberries and heart-shaped waffles to celebrate our anniversary was icing on the cake. Will definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at the Lovill House Inn located in Boone, NC. Whether we need to just 'get away' from it all, are travelling, or on a vacation, our first choice for a place to stay is at a bed and breakfast. The high quality of service, the rooms, dining and atmosphere are what you expect when staying at a bed and breakfast and the Lovill House Inn is no exception. Our hosts, Scott and Anne, were very gracious and accomodating (as we needed to check in earlier than the allotted time). We highly recommend staying at the Lovill House Inn - you won't be disappointed!

Very clean, host was quite solicitous, road noise in the room I had was pretty constant, mattress and pillows were very comfortable, wireless for the iPad was hard to find, gardens and property were totally charming. Value would have been better if I had arrived earlier and stayed later to enjoy both the property, the breakfast and the people more. The large porch with swings and cosy chairs was peaceful and inviting. I would stay there again and would recommend the place to others.

We just got back Friday from a wonderful 3-night stay at the Lovill House Inn in Boone. The location was great--only a few blocks from downtown Boone but sitting on the front porch felt like you were a million miles away from the world. The heirloom flowers in the gardens were gorgeous and perfect for a historic home. Scott and Ann were the best of hosts, giving us enough attention to make us feel welcome and at home but giving us enough space to feel free to enjoy their home. The breakfasts were delicious and we had such a good time with the other guests that we found ourselves lingering at the dining room table each morning. We hope that we will get the chance to visit Lovill House Inn again.

My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Scott and Ann staying 3 nights at the Inn. Wonderful time, outstanding food from Ann and great attention to our comfort from Scott. Very helpful in providing directions to attractions and dinner opportunities. The Inn itself was set nicely and very quiet in the evenings where we spent time rocking on the porch and enjoying the comfortable evenings. I would recommend the Inn to anyone looking for accomodations close to areas of interest but set apart from the main flow of traffic and congestion. Scott and Ann are excellent hosts and work hard to ensure your stay exceeds your expectations. Kerry & Debbie, Fuquay-Varina, NC.

They know so many things to do in the area; they can keep you busy your entire stay. Don't know where to have dinner? Don't worry, they have menus for all the restaurants so you can sit in the living room and browse them. Anne and Scott are great. We had a great time.

How can anyone stay here and not love it? You are greeted warmly by the owner, fed well, sleep soundly, surrounded by beauty, and all for a reasonable price. The inn keepers are so charming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. That, alone, is worth the trip. Additionally though, the historical house is conducive to relaxation. You can sit on the porch rockers with a book and a glass of wine. You can listen to music, watch a movie (they have a huge collection), help yourself to a variety of beverages in the fridge, walk the gardens, sit by the fire, or head out to the zillions of possible things to do in the area. My elderly father and I stayed there while visiting my son at App State. We couldn't have picked a better retreat. My son was welcomed like family by the innkeepers when he stopped in to pick us up. Stay there. You won't be disappointed.

There's not a better place to stay in the heart of the High Country than the Lovill House. What a wonderful, peaceful, enjoyable time we spent getting to know Scott and Anne and walking around the breathtaking grounds. Of course Boone and the surrounding area was spectacular but what made our 3-night stay rate the best was feeling so at home with Scott and Anne. Did I mention the wonderful breakfast feasts that were prepared...we will be back many times. Scott and Anne thank you for a wonderful anniversary filled with treasured memories; our stay was beyond our dreams!! Tim and Rhonda

We loved our visit to the Lovill House Inn. Scott and Anne are outstanding hosts--very familiar with the area, willing to share information, and warm and welcoming. The grounds are beautiful with lovely flower gardens, a stream right outside the inn, and a gazebo with a porch swing next to the stream to help you relax and enjoy a quiet morning. The wrap-around porch is wonderful with an abundance of rocking chairs and tables. The location of the inn is downtown Boone, but it's hidden behind a wall of trees so you would never know you were near King St. But that makes it a perfect, centrally located place to use for day trips and close to downtown restaurants and shopping. Thank you, Scott and Anne, for your generous hospitality. Sincerely, Lynne and Norm from Michigan.

We were celebrating our anniversary and had never been to Boone. I had found the Lovill House Inn by researching online and decided, "why not?" I am so thankful that we did! Scoot & Anne took such great care of us and made sure we were as comfortable as if we were at our very own home. They made sure we knew the area and gave us guided instrutions and information about the area. We also were impressed that they gave a military discount. I just hope we get a chance to visit Boone again and if we do you will find us at the Lovill House Inn!

This historic house was very beautiful. We especially liked the wormy chestnut (saved from renovation of the house) door facings. The grounds were inviting to look at and walk around. There were many personal touches such as heated coffee mugs and turn down service. We couldn't ask for a cleaner inn--our bedroom and bath were immaculate. The hosts were available to answer our questions and help whenever needed. We especially enjoyed the full breakfast each morning.

I would recommend the Lovill house inn to anyone wanting that taste of home feel with the southern hospitality as well.

This was our 6th visit to the Lovill House Inn...obviously we love it. We look forward to the welcoming greetings and hugs from innkeepers (and now friends) Scott and Anne Peecook when we arrive. The home has a comfortable feel...the big front porch, the beautifully decorated rooms, the comfortable living room, the delicious home-cooked breakfast...and so clean! The gardens are lovely and so well-kept...a lot of time and love goes into making the yard pretty in all seasons. It is a great place to call home as you explore the surrounding areas. We arrived the day after Thanksgiving and were greated by Scott, Anne and the lingering smell of a big family dinner. Scott and Anne were extremely friendly and helped us with everything we needed. We only stayed one night and they treated us like we had been there for a week. The room was spotless and the bed was great. Loved the turn-down service while we were at dinner. Now comes the food. Since the Lovill House Inn was offering a Thanksgiving dinner package we decided to opt in. What a great choice that was!. The meal was fantastic, everything you would expect for a Thanksgiving feast. Anne and Scott (innkeepers) joined the guests for the meal making everyone feel like family. Upon arrival, the innkeeper met us and gave a thorough tour and instructions on using the facilities. The Inn was clean, nicely decorated, and well organized. However, there was no "hosted social hour" as advertised (we were invited to help ourselves to soft drinks or box wine, which was nearly empty) nor was there a fire in the fireplace as promised during breakfast. Only a couple acres of the 11-acre estate were available for guests to enjoy, the rest being an undeveloped ridge.
I would like to say I am sorry. The night you stayed with us was my birthday. Our son and his bride booked a room to surprise me, and I dropped the ball in not recognizing that the social hour was important to you. Concerning the fireplace the next morning, I believe that no one was in the living room by 8:20 so we did not light the fire since breakfast was at 8:30. The layout of our property is 11 acres, 8 are wooded and 3 are groomed. You can walk up to the waterfall, sit in the gazebo swing or enjoy the picnic table under the walnut tree. Hopefully, the next time you come you can stay longer and fully enjoy what we have to offer. We look forward to welcoming you back.

Stayed two night in the lenoir room. It was very clean and comfortable but a little noisy due to the fact of the house being in close proximity to the highway but nothing that kept me awake at night. Breakfast was good but a little regimented, at 0830 the bell rings and you better be their. All in all it was a nice stay and we'd recomend it.

My wife and I truly enjoyed our several stays at this wonderful Home away from Home. Scott and Anne go out of their way to assure the stay is one to remember. The food is GREAT, the beds are wonderful, and the feeling you are with people who care and enjoy the good things in life says it all. Our son stayed with us the first trip and really enjoyed it. My fiance' and I stayed here midway through my R&R from Afghanistan. I've stayed with Scott and Anne before, but it was Dawn's first time. As always, from the first contact to make reservations, to the drive through the Blue Ridge area, to the wonderful "presentation" of the home as we pulled into the parking area, to Scott's warm and insightful tour of the home, to the clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated rooms, to Anne's amazingly tasty breakfast cooking ... I could go on for a long time, but suffice it to say that the Lovill House Inn - not to mention the gracious Innkeepers - is worth whatever detour you need to take in order to get there. But it can't be called much of a detour when you consider the locale! Boone is in the heart of some of the very best destinations that the Blue Ridge Parkway has to offer. Lovill House Inn is, and will continue to be, a destination unto itself for me whenever I plan a vacation or need to just get away for a few days.

We have been coming to the Lovill House Inn for 12 years and I plan to come back every year as long as we can. The Inn is great and the Innkeepers are super. We love the rooms and have stayed in them all. We try to rotate and spend equal time per room. Everything is always clean and neat and they always provide that little extra touch that most B&B's don"t. The flowers were especially beautiful on the grounds this fall. They always manage to find your room too. Fresh flowers are perfect and add that touch you never expect. Food is flawless and I am glad we don't live close or I would be packing on the pounds. Always a great selection and here again, if special needs are requested, they are met. We personally love it all! Don't miss a chance to stay here and enjoy the beauty and the great Inn. We miss you already and can't wait to book our next stay. Thanks

The Lovill House Inn provided us a very cozy quaint home base for our six day vacation within the mountains of western North Carolina where we could return each afternoon for relaxation, sipping wine and planning our activity for the next day. Each new day's morning breakfast was extraordinary, offering a unique new menu carefully crafted to ensure variety throughout the entire week. We particularly enjoyed the pleasure of spending our nights in the sping house cottage where we could enjoy our early morning solitude and coffee. Scott and Anne's wonderful personnalities and interaction with their guests are the signature that wraps the entire package into a perfect experience. If you plan to stay in the Boone area give yourself the gift of staying at the Lovill House Inn.

We arrived Friday evening around 6 pm to celebrate our 31st wedding anniversary. The owner gave us the name of a good restaurant, Char's, where we began our celebration. And of course, we topped off our meal with ice cream at Custard Depot! Delish! Saturday morning we ate a delicious meal and let our food settle while rocking in the chairs out on the wrap around front porch. Then we took a picnic and did a 3 mile hike off the Blue Ridge Parkway. After our nap back at the B&B, we went to The Red Onion for dinner and had more ice cream over at Scoops! Anybody see a common theme here? Sunday morning was rainy, but our breakfast was wonderful and then we went into town to do some last minute shopping. We really enjoyed our stay at the Lovill House Inn. Scott and Anne are wonderful hosts!

We spent a long weekend In Boone, N.C. recently at the Loville House Inn. We couldn't ask for a warmer greeting from our Host and Hostess. They were available at all times to help us in every way. Although we thought we would be in the country, this inn is actually on the edge of town, tucked back on a side street. Very convenient . We enjoyed eating at the big tables with all the other guests in the mornings, but would enjoy some flexiblility on the time. 8:30 is early on a rainy Saturday morning. Our room had a wood burning fireplace and a sofa. So cozy. Our mattress on the otherhand could use an upgrade. Not really bad, but not a pillow top . New pillows, maybe a few down pillows, would have been welcome. There is no airconditioning, but every room has a powerful little window fan, and a ceiling fan. We were comfortable, but wondered about the people in the upstairs rooms. We would probably return ...when the mattresses are upgraded. Boone is a great little college town and so close to so many other attractions in the Western N.C. mountains.
Even though this is a favorite room of guests and we have had many compliments on the bed of late, we appreciate your concerns and have taken action to improve the sleep experience in the room.

Hosts were welcoming and thorough about explaining the Inn. Plenty of information available about the surrounding area. Very hospitable about drinks etc from fridge. Room was a good size and very comfortable. Parking was by side of the Inn and off road so no problems. Breakfast was tasty and service was cheerful and friendly. Would strongly recommend a stay in the Lovill House Inn.

My wife and I had never stayed in a B&B before but wanted to to escape the NC coastal heat and do something special for her 52 birthday. I did some internet research into the Boone, NC area nd came up with the Lovill House as my choice. I could not have been more right. Scott and Anne were the best ! We felt as if we were family back in town for a reunion. We could not have felt more at home in their beautiful inn. It was as if we were in our own own home with full run of the house and nothing to do but enjoy. What a lovely porch, breakfasts were perfectly prepared bt Anne and Scott saw to our every need. The room, house and grounds were absolutely spotless and beautiful, evenb fired up the gas fireplace a few times! We will definitely stay again when in the Boone area. Never had a better time or nicer place to stay and I have been to many 5 star big name hotels. And I got lots of points with the wife for a great birthday choice !! Don't miss this great home. We're now sold on the B&B experience. Thank you so much !

Scott and Anne were great and the Inn was beautiful. The breakfasts were awesome and the innkeepers were very helpful with suggestions of where to eat and things to do.

We just spent four days at the Lovill House Inn B & B. Although we have been staying at B & B's for many years, this one ranks among the very best. Anne & Scott made every effort to make our stay memorable, and they succeeded beyond our expectations. The Boone-Blowing Rock area has much to offer, but if you are looking for quiet and solitude, you can find that, as well. We have reservations for a fall leaves visit, and can't wait.

From the moment we drove into the flower lined driveway we felt at home. The Lovell House owners were right there and went to work making us feel welcome. It was comfortable, clean convenient and just what we needed. Thanks to Scott and Ann for the perfect stay. Next time it will be a longer stay.

Could not have been more pleased. Our plan was to use Lovill House as a center from which to "tour" around the mountains during the week. However, we found the Innkeepers, the Inn & staff, and its grounds so delightful that we seldom left its confines. As honeymooners, we enjoyed the warm, yet unobtrusive, hospitality, the always available assistance (I locked us out of the cabin late one evening), the to-die-for breakfasts, the overall beauty of the Inn and its people, its proximity to every restaurant and place we did visit, mingling with the other guests; it just couldn't have been any better. Our desire is to return again and again. The Peecooks are new freinds. Ted & Jan

We stayed in the cottage, and it was very pleasant. The innkeepers were always available and very good at assisting us in whatever our plans were for the day. We found the furnishings comfortable. In fact, I wrote about the inn in my blog after the trip. http://riverwalkpics.blogspot.com/2010/07/butterflies-bees-bears-and-birds-at.html The scenery and nature are what we went to Boone for, but we received much more with the very comfortable accommodations. In fact, we didn't have to travel far for nature with the magnificent gardens right outside the cottage door where there were numerous butterflies and songbirds every day. Very nice place to spend our anniversary. David and Elizabeth

My stay here for two days was perfect. This inn is very well kempt and tended to. The rooms are well apportioned and CLEAN. The grounds are beautiful and that big old porch! The innkeepers Scott and Anne are exactly the kind of hosts one thinks of when considering a great B&B experience. They are charming, informative and see to it that your stay is a memorable one. Just what the doctor ordered.

We have stayed here now several times. When going to the Boone area we automatically book at the Lovill House. There is no reason to go elsewhere, a beautifull house, great breakfasts, all your needs taken care of. However, the the best reason is Scott and Anne, you couldn't find more accomodating hosts. Thank you, John and Nancy Carnegie, Wilmington, N.C.

Good location, lovely room, great breakfast. But what really sets this B & B apart are Scott and Anne. They are the quintessential innkeepers. They are warm, friendly, and amazingly hospitable with so many really nice touches to make your stay exceptional.

It was our anniversary so on a whim we decided to treat ourselves to a B & B in place of the chain hotels we usually frequent. We could not have been more delighted! The room was lovely with attention to every detail. Breakfast was scrumptious. The grounds were gorgeous, with the wraparound porch overlooking flower beds, a waterfall and with several other places to sit and simply contemplate the goodness of God. It was evident that the innkeepers, Scott and Anne Peecook intended for each guest to feel like a cherished family member...which is exactly how we felt. We strongly recommend the Lovill House Inn for anyone traveling in the Boone area. Maybe you will even see us there......... we definitely plan to visit again.

Our experience at the Lovill House Inn was EXACTLY what we were looking for. We were immediately made to feel at home there, and were welcomed warmly by the innkeepers. Our room was inviting and cozy. We also enjoyed the beautiful gardens and surrounding property with the nice little touches like a gazebo swing, a hammock, and rocking chairs on the porch. Scott and Anne Peecook were so kind and welcoming and really helped to make the entire experience perfect.

My husband and I arrived on a cold, snowy night to a warm welcome into a beautiful, comfortable room, all amenities, and awoke to a delicious breakfast with good conversation. We can't wait for our next opportunity to visit Lovill House Inn.

Scott and Anne have a wonderful bed and breakfast! We were pleasantly surprised with the service and the cleanliness of the rooms. Scott and Anne are a pleasure to be around. They made the inn feel like a home away from home and we look forward to another trip to visit them next year. Semper Fidelis!

My husband & I had the pleasure of staying at the Lovell House Inn while traveling to West Virginia and along the way, this lovely B&B is tucked away in a quaint and semi-private manner. We found it to be peaceful and warm, relaxing enough to feel like home! What a lovely place to get away from it all! Scott & Anne were gracious inn keepers that made us feel welcome while allowing us our privacy. I highly recommend that you stay at the Lovell House Inn on your next adventure. You will be glad you did! The Buckners S.C.

We booked the Lovill House Inn as we were tired of the cold atmosphere of the typical hotel. We were visiting our son at Appalachian State for the weekend. The Lovill House Inn was very nice. The innkeeper, Scott Peecock, was welcoming and gave a thorough tour of the house. It was warm and inviting. The room in which we were staying was large with a separate bath, and a gas fireplace; a beautiful feature. The house was very quiet for our entire stay. The only complaint was the bed was a little too soft and we both had somewhat of a backache when we returned home. We would have also preferred a king size bed, but the rooms with the king beds were not available. We would return to the Lovill House Inn for another visit.

I've been meaning to write this review for a year - my husband and I went to Lovill House for our honeymoon in October 2008, and it was just perfect. Scott and Anne can give recommendations and exact directions for whatever your heart desires - including, for us, the perfect 5-mile scenic hike off the Blue Ridge Parkway and "the best way to see the 'face' of Grandfather Mountain." We highly recommend their "stress reduction package" with massage. The rooms (we stayed in Lenoir) are old-fashioned, lovely and romantic but with every comfort; the gardens are gorgeous, breakfast was delicious and friendly, the whole feel is elegant without being stuffy. We really liked that Anne and Scott have their own separate "quarters" so it feels less like walking in on someone's home than a typical B & B does. Just perfect. You'll love it. - Rachel and Kevin

We stayed at the Lovill House Inn for two nights in August 2009. Perfect location in Boone, NC. The room we occupied was called "The Spring House" which is a small cottage behind the house. It was lovely! Very CLEAN and cozy. The grounds are covered with flowers and the front porch of the house was delightful to sit on every morning while drinking coffee waiting for the fabulous breakfast that the Innkeepers prepare each morning. They do a wonderful job making you feel welcome and special. Can't wait to return! Thank you Scott and Anne!

Lovill House is owned and operated by a couple who is meticulous in all aspects of running a B&B from the details of appearance, to creating the "down home" feeling one would expect from a Southern B&B experience. It is tastefully decorated keeping the elegant historic look and feel combined with upgraded and modern accommodations. Location in a serene setting set back from the main highway creates a perfect venue to enjoy a quiet evening on the expansive wrap around deck with a glass of provided wine; or a cup of coffee provided in hot mugs in the early morning. Breakfast featured unique culinary tastes that presented traditional breakfast foods in new and different dishes! Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again in the near future.

Lovill House was delightful. The location was close to a major road and suffered from traffic noise, but the room was good and grounds were spectacular. The innkeepers were very efficient and attentive. Midway through our stay, my wife had a short hospital stay, and the innkeepers were very concerned and helped us in every way. I would recommend the Lovill House to anyone who wants to stay in Boone.

We discovered Lovill House Inn when we came to Boone with our daughter to look at Appalachian State in March 2009. She fell in love with the college and Boone and our family truly enjoyed the hospitality provided by Scott and Anne. The Inn is lovely, relaxing, and welcoming. The rooms are charming and the breakfasts are wonderful. It is very convenient to the campus. Our daughter has decided to attend Appalachian and we returned to Lovill House to stay in June 2009 during new student and parent orientation. My husband and I have already made our reservations at Lovill House Inn for parent's weekend in September. We highly recommend it to other Appalachian parents.

Even the excellent website didn't do it justice!! The impeccable grounds were only matched by the top notch accomodations and our wonderful innkeepers Scott and Anne Peacock!! The food was skilllfully prepared, the social hours provided memories for a lifetime. Even nature was conspiring for us--Margie and I were visited by a young fawn as we sat in the gazebo. Spent two nights here recently. A beautiful property. Room, "The Bristol," was roomy, comfortable and well-appointed. Innkeepers demonstrated concern for guests' comfort and were quick to respond to requests. Innkeepers fully knowledgeable about Boone area and helpful with suggestions for day trips. Breakfasts were generous and included meats, eggs, breads and fruits. Coffee available 30 minutes before breakfast served at 8:30. Recommend this property highly.

This bed and breakfast was perfect for my long business days. Scott and Anne were able to accomodate my breakfast time so I could be at work by 8:30 a.m. I was able to use the Inn to do my email in my room and also in the living room and dining room in the evenings. I felt at home when doing my work in the evenings. A change of pace from the ususal hotels. I would recommend any business travler to stay at this inn for a good night sleep and a place to work from in the evenings.

We stayed at the Lovill House Inn for a family weekend birthday celebration and had a fantastic time! The inn with its beautifully landscaped flowers and gardens, the alluring wrap-around porch with its country rockers and the warm and inviting interior helped set the tone for a casual, relaxing atmosphere. Scott and Anne were wonderful hosts who were attentive to all our needs and provided little 'extras' like turn down bed service and fresh flowers in the room. The breakfasts were well presented, varied, tasty, and delicious. They treated us like 'family' and we definitely will return again when we want to celebrate a special occasion or just want to get away to relax, recharge, and renew ourselves. Loved the Lovill and loved Scott and Anne!

The first time we visited Anne and Scott at the Lovill House Inn, we thought we had found heaven – the warmth, friendliness, hospitality, and comfortable surroundings! But of course, first impressions can fool you. The second time we visited them, our first impressions were confirmed. What an outstanding location – what an outstanding host and hostess! Anne and Scott will make you forget what you’re escaping from. If you want solitude – they will let you have it. If you want to know “what’s happening,” they have all the answers. I’m sure everyone says they treat you like family. No, they treat you better than family – all the warmth and love without the dysfunctionality! Anne and Scott know how to make you feel welcome. When you stay at Lovill House, you’re not staying at a B&B – you’re visiting Anne and Scott, and they will go out of their way to make you feel like part of the family.

We regularly stay in B&B's in our travels throughout our travels in the US and Europe, and spots like the Lovill House Inn are what we always hope to find. The innkeepers are friendly and attentive to your needs. The rooms are comfortable and immaculate. There is great attention to detail, from adequate lighting throughout the inn to free beverages, including wines. The grounds and gardens are beautiful and well-maintained. Your rooms are aired out while you are away enjoying all that the mountains in the Boone/Blowing Rock area has to offer. You will also appreciate Anne's delicious breakfasts. We visit at least once a year and are always welcomed like long time friends. We are certain your stay will be will be a wonderful experience if it's in the innkeepers' power. Gene and Sandy

Our stay at the Lovill House Inn was remarkable. Scott and Anne took us in even though we showed up on their doors step late in the evening without a reservation. And, thanks to Anne noticing our arrival we descovered this "gem" of a Bed and Breakfast in Boone, NC. We can't wait to go back...this was our best experience staying at a B&B due to the warm and genuine hospitality provided by Scott and Anne.

Whenever we decide to get away from the big city, our first thought for a mountain getaway, in any season, is the Boone, NC area and always The Lovill House Inn. The first-class accommodations and, most importantly, the wonderful hospitality of Anne and Scott, make our stays there the restful & refreshing getaway we are seeking. To call the Inn our second home is not an exaggeration. The comfort we get there truly allows us that feeling. Thank you Anne and Scott.

The Lovill House Inn is the best place to stay as a Bed and Breakfast if you like to be treated as a King and Queen. The Owners, Scott and Anne are such warm people and so eager to help you anyway they can. We couldn't imagine staying any other places when we visit in Boone, you have to try it to believe it. Don't take our word for it, book a night or two and you'll be hooked. It's also within walking distance to Grrrrrreat Shopping so thing about it!!!
