Valle Crucis, North Carolina has been attracting settlers and travelers alike, for nearly 200 years. Taylor House Inn is a Bed & Beakfast and, with the majestic surrounding valley scene and the beautiful herb garden, it is the perfect place to spend some quality time as well as to host an outdoor wedding or any other event. We at the Taylor House Inn invite you to come and experience a place that seems one of times past, a place where moments of solitude are as abundant as the rivers and streams that give life to the surrounding hills. We feel fortunate to be part of such a powerful place and would like to extend our hospitality to help share the magic of Valle Crucis.

We had a very nice stay here at the Taylor house. Tessa and Bernard were great hosts! We stayed in the "flower cottage" and was perfect. It was a little more private, as it is separate from the main house (but only a few steps away).

We stayed in the little room which was very comfortable. The breakfast in the main house was great and the table layout for the meal was outstanding. Our host and hostess were very friendly and helpful. I would stay in the main house if return to the area again.

Our very first stay in a BB in the USA but not the last. The hosts were very helpful and kind - they recommended a very good restaurant nearby as well as they gave useful advice concerning our trip.

The house was very we!coming and clean. Although it was full with 23 guests, we could not tell! Breakfast was fabulous and home made- it was off the beaten path and added to the ambiance. Our room was large and roomy and the porch was very comfortable to just sit and read. The inn keepers were so sweet!

Charming B&B. Host and hostess are awesome. Great location. Would only suggestion to consider offering the option that clients may have dinner there as well. Sometimes after hiking one does not want to venture back to Boone for dinner. Cheers

The Flower Cottage was quaint, cozy, and private from the rest of the house. Breakfast in the mornings was sumptuous. We enjoyed sitting at a family style table and conversing with other patrons. The atmosphere was family oriented and relaxed. The front porch was the best. We enjoyed reading and playing games in the evenings. The Taylor House is conveniently located to all surrounding activities in Boone, Banner Elk, and Linville.A truly beautiful Bed and Breakfast. We will be staying again.

Tessa and Bernard were so warm, charming and helpful. The beautiful apple pie that greeted us was delicious with a cup of tea that we enjoyed on the front porch in rocking chairs. My grand daughter was treated like a princess and can't wait to return for another adventure. The inn has an antique charm, spacious, clean and an inviting atmosphere.

On arrival it is very inviting... Large wrap around porch with chairs and swing... Cool evenings even in the summer... Fresh cookies and many types of tea and coffee on arrival in the evening.... Immediately entering front door there is a moldy/musty smell that dissipates almost right away.... Architecture of home is stunning. Wood accents/flooring/staircase/etc...Very warm when entering the house as well and in upstairs-really need to either turn the air colder or invest in central air for guest comfort... Carpet on the stairs and in room #4 (Gordon & Henry) is very dirty and needs cleaned... It would be nice if there were a few hooks either in the closet or on the back of the doors for guests... The terry robes provided are clean and fresh and a nice accent... The bathroom for room 4 is down the hall, which was fine. The bath is spacious and very clean.... No claw foot tub and decor appears to be mismatched... It is VERY hot and muggy in the bath and the fan provided does not work well, again central air could help this... Personal care products were provided and smelled good... Linens and bath towels were clean and smelled good...Decor in the bedrooms could use some improvements... Breakfast was absolutely the highlight! It was absolutely delicious and you could tell was prepared with care... I would visit here again, actually we may return in the fall... Tessa was a great hostess.
