Valle Crucis, North Carolina has been attracting settlers and travelers alike, for nearly 200 years. Taylor House Inn is a Bed & Beakfast and, with the majestic surrounding valley scene and the beautiful herb garden, it is the perfect place to spend some quality time as well as to host an outdoor wedding or any other event. We at the Taylor House Inn invite you to come and experience a place that seems one of times past, a place where moments of solitude are as abundant as the rivers and streams that give life to the surrounding hills. Rooms were very comfortable, and breakfast was excellent, as were afternoon homemade treats. Porch was ideal setting for meeting fellow guests and owners.

We stayed five nights in the flower cottage at the Taylor House Inn, for hiking and to attend a wedding. Our expectations were greatly exceeded! We had a great time, the room was very nice and comfortable, and the service was outstanding! Tessa and Bernard were so friendly, made us feel at home, like we were family! We loved spending time on the front porch and chatting with them and the other guests. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, which were different each day, and always exquisite. In the afternoon there was complimentary coffee, tea, and a pie or cake made from scratch and still warm, oh so delicious! We loved our stay! Thank you!

Staying at the Taylor House Inn was a wonderful experience! We enjoyed B&B stays earlier in our marriage and thought a wonderful to way to celebrate our 15th was to stay at a B&B--and we were right! The breakfasts were outstanding, both in service and deliciousness.

Thank you, Tessa and Bernard, for making me feel at home and comfortable. A wonderful setting and a beautiful home. The surrounding countryside is well worth a visit if yo have not been. Beautiful hiking and biking along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Saw deer and black bears so bring bells and/or spray. Loads to see and too in the nearby vicinity from arts and crafts in West Jefferson to shopping in Boone and climbing Grandfather Mountain. Merci, beaucoup, mes amis!

It was my wife's 50th Birthday and Valentines Day. I booked the first floor suite and it was perfect! Fire place, sitting room, claw foot tub and a king size four poster bed! The Romance Package was perfect! Champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a bouquet of flowers were the perfect touch. The breakfast the next morning was fabulous and the inn keepers were the friendliness people, always there for our every need! I highly recommend anyone coming to the Valle Crusis, NC area to stay at this Bed and Breakfast that was built in 1911.

We stayed at the Taylor House Inn for my birthday weekend and trip to the mountains to snowboard, and we had a wonderful time. The hosts were gracious and welcoming, and we were very comfortable. We stayed in the flower cottage, which was clean and private, away from the rest of th inn. We were in and out a bit so we opted to stay there so as not to bother other guests. The breakfast in the morning was delicious! And the hosts ensured we had everything we would need. We will definitely be back again!
