We stayed in the Magnolia Room and felt that it exceeded our expectations. The room and the grounds were exceptional. The Owners made a point to be there for happy hours and breakfast which I liked. They had the understanding of when to engage and when to leave you to yourself which is an important detail often overlooked at B&B’s. The breakfast was heavy on pastries and sweets which we felt later in the day but was delightful while eating. Overall, we made good memories.

This was our 2nd stay at the Black Walnut. The location is great, walkable to a few restaurants and very close to downtown Asheville. The tea time is wonderful; wine, great snacks and sweets. Breakfast was the best breakfast I have had in quite a while. The AC is our room was a little chilly, but we had covers, so not really an issue.

Enjoyed our stay. History is interesting. Some areas need a little renovation.

We cannot wait to get back to Peter & Lori at the Black Walnut Inn. We loved our weekend in Asheville, and much of the reason was our experience at the Inn. From the lovely rooms, to the fantastic breakfasts, and chats with Peter & Lori and the other guests during breakfast or the afternoon "tea", everything was great.

We have stayed at the Black Walnut Inn for our Honeymoon and First Anniversary! It is our little romantic getaway in historic Asheville. Such a perfect spot to unwind and relax from all the stress of the city. All of the best arts, crafts, food, and mountain views can be found with a short drive / uber from this B&B. The rooms are wonderful and clean. I love having so many porches and often find new friends at breakfast and happy hour. The breakfast is amazing!!! Can't wait to see you there next year! :)
