North Lodge on Oakland

4.6 on May 27, 2016

We had a wonderful stay at North Lodge. Very clean and comfortable lodgings and great food. Gary and Cindy were great hosts. Beautiful grounds.

Nice time in a historical home, friendly hosts, delicious breakfast, and I always like cookies

4.8 on April 21, 2016

We enjoyed our stay here. I was very happy with the room: my partner felt it was a little on the small side (Magnolia). The TV had to be a little small to fit under the sloping ceiling. It didn't matter- it was only on for 15 minutes of the time that we were there! The fresh cookies were welcome, and there was always coffee and tea available in the dining room. I always want to pay less-therefore I only awarded 4 circles for the value. The food served at breakfast was very good. The home was built by the 3rd owner of the Smith-McDowell mansion, which is within a short walking distance.

A Quiet Ambience with Outstanding Service

We had only one night, but we can't say enough about our hosts Gary and Cindy Broaddus! They went the extra step to satisfy our needs, even when a business issue arose for me that Gary helped solve in a most expeditious manner. The accommodations were delightful and the home made cookies, chocolates and breakfast were scrumptious. In addition, access to a freezer and a fully stocked refrigerator is a nice plus.

Warm & comforting

4.8 on April 09, 2015

Gary & Cindy are lovely hosts - we received such a warm welcome, complete with a tour of the home's amenities and recommendations on dining and activities in town. The Geranium room felt a bit small, but was a really great value and certainly sufficient for the two of us on a spontaneous get-away. The food and the service were absolutely outstanding, and we enjoyed the afternoon treats and movie library, too!

Excellent first stay at a B&B

This was our first stay at a B&B and we could not have been happier with the experience. Our hosts were tremendous and the food was outstanding. Great location convenient to downtown. Would definitely recommend North Lodge to anyone!

Greg was an excellent host, with just-the-right amount of info and friendliness. His home was immaculate and inviting, and this included our bedroom and bath. Thank you, Greg, for a fabulous stay.

All the comforts of home and so much more!

My husband and I stayed at the Lodge in the Geranium Room during our stay in Asheville. Close to both the Biltmore and downtown Asheville, the Lodge is convenient and very comfortable. Greg is an absolutely wonderful, welcoming host, and his breakfasts are great! I wish we could have stayed longer than just 2 nights.

Great Value and Great Location for an Asheville Visit

4.8 on July 16, 2014

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at this B&B. The host, Greg, was very friendly and helpful with local information. And the breakfasts he made were awesome! Each morning we had a marvelous breakfast, beautifully presented, and we couldn't wait to see what the breakfast was the next morning. Our room was nice and clean, but a bit small for this long a visit. Next time, will get a room with a sitting area. We would definitely stay here on our next Asheville visit.

One Night at the North Lodge on Oakland

Very nice B&B! Greg greeted us, gave a quick tour of the downstairs, pointed out all of the amenities, then took us to our room and gave us a tour and overview there also.Very nice room, great 3 course breakfast and only one mile from downtown Asheville. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.
