About

The Candlelight Inn is a beautifully restored Queen Anne, Victorian Bed & Breakfast that concentrates on making its guests feel relaxed. Your innkeepers, Wanda and Michael O'Brien live on premises. A private home for 80 years, today the Candlelight Inn can be enjoyed by couples seeking a romantic getaway. All guests rooms in the main house have private baths, two with a whirlpool tub, and all have romantic electric fireplaces. Both rooms in the Carriage House have their own gas fireplaces and private, double whirlpool tubs. Most rooms have ceiling fans, and all are air-conditioned. Central Avenue offers the perfect setting for the Candlelight Inn. With its wide borders and beautifully landscaped islands, it lends itself well to our quiet residential section of North Wildwood. Our spacious porch provides just the right spot for you to take in the view and be surrounded by cool seashore breezes. Come and relax in our outdoor hot tub anytime of the year. In addition to the beach and boardwalk that are three blocks from the inn, there are plenty of other attractions and restaurants within walking distance and Cape May is a fifteen minute drive away. Time spent at the Candlelight Inn is always remembered as special. It is your home away from home at the Jersey Shore. We have a Tesla and a universal charging station for electric vehicles.

Enjoyment at the Cnbdlelight Inn

5 on January 23, 2018

Wanda and Michael are the perfect hosts. Your are treated like family who they are happy to see. The rooms are lovely and clean. The breakfasts are delicious and substantial. In the summer months, wine and fresh cookies are ready and waiting for you as you come back from a day at the beach or sightseeing. We have stayed at the inn on 10 different occasions and have NEVER been disappointed.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks so much for your review! We love hosting you both and are so please that no matter the time of year you find so much to enjoy at our inn and in the area.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Candlelight Inn. The home was cozy and the owners were welcoming and kind. We enjoyed the hot tub and the breakfast was delicious! Will definitely stay again when given the chance.

Slow Down and Enjoy!

Mike and Wanda are so accommodating They make you feel like family and only want to make you comfortable in their home. Breakfast is to die for. They are always serving a breakfast you would not make for yourself at home. Cookie O'clock is a must. Cookies, Wine, and good company out on the porch, what more could you want? The rooms are out of a Thomas Kincaid picture reminding you of simpler by gone days with modern conveniences.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for your review. We do strive to make you feel like you are at "home away from home" where you don't have to do the dishes! Cookie O'Clock is one of our favorite times of the day.

The best B&B we've ever had the pleasure to stay at!

5 on September 10, 2017

From the time we walked in the door until the moment we left we were completely impressed! Michael was the perfect host and chef, Wanda was warm and welcoming and the staff was friendly and unobtrusive. The entire place was immaculate and well cared for, with the daily housekeeping of our room being an added bonus. Being former antique dealers, we were in awe of the exquisite antiques we found at every turn... Amazing! And the breakfasts... Gourmet quality three-course feasts! I would HIGHLY recommend the Candlelight In to anyone visiting the Wildwoods.

Seashore Hospitality

I would recommend that everyone check out this inn and I rate it a ten. The hospitably, breakfast, afternoon wine, meeting and spending time with everyone that I did not know. The location was perfect for whatever you wanted to do or go. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Great place to stay

4.0 on July 26, 2017

This was only my 2nd Bed and Breakfast & i felt very comfortable & welcome. Food and hospitality were great. Nice breezy porch to relax on, short walk to boardwalk. There were no restrictions on when we needed to be in by and we had a choice of two breakfast times. Would highly recommend this BnB.

A perfect Getaway

We needed a getaway and this was the perfect choice. A gorgeous Victorian house with a wrap around porch. The innkeepers Mike and Wanda were gracious hosts. Mikes outstanding breakfast and homemade cookies in the afternoon were a highlight. Wanda recommended wonderful restaurants for dinner. Amazing stay. !!!

Wonderful Hosts and Great Location!

5 on June 14, 2017

Michael and Wanda were excellent hosts! They took an interest in our lives and gave us plenty of recommendations to keep us busy all 3 days of our trip. The breakfast they host is something special! So delicious and always different. I especially loved it when they incorporated something from their garden (fresh mint chocolate chip muffins, YUM). I felt like a local with Wanda and Michael making it seem like home from the start. But a home where you can ask anything of them and they will accomodate without batting an eye. The location was perfect for us. It's in walking distance of the wildwood Boardwalk. And 15-20 min away from Cape May/Stone Harbor. This is by far my perminate place to stay when I visit again.
