About

At the Captain Mey's Inn, we want guests to enjoy our charming establishment. We strive to create a laid-back and relaxing atmosphere with all the comforts of home. Innkeepers are always available for assistance and never more than a phone call away. Amenities include hot and cold refreshments, air conditioning, flat screen TVs, private bathrooms, and a "stay your last day" policy. A flexible self-registration is available for guests checking in after hours. All room rates include wifi and on-site parking. As a family business, we take pride in our attention to detail. From the Victorian-era wallpaper to antique stained glass, Captain Mey's is a historic treasure. The inn features chestnut oak Eastlake paneling, a leaded-glass bay window in the dining room, and newly refinished hardwood floors throughout the house. We are currently functioning exclusively as an inn and do not serve a morning breakfast. However, refreshments are available throughout the day. A stand-up cooler provides hot and cold water, and our Keurig machine serves fresh coffee, tea, cider, or hot chocolate at any time. A cozy wrap-around porch, complete with white wicker furniture, rocking chairs, and hanging flower baskets, adds a romantic touch. Start your morning people watching with a hot cup of coffee or unwind with a glass of iced tea after a sunny day on the beach. We invite you to make Captain Mey's your home away from home during your next trip to the Jersey Shore.

Great Location and Get away Place to stay!

The Inn is in a great location. Walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the beach . The Inn Keeper was warm and friendly and made us feel welcome immediately We enjoyed our stay at the Captain Mey!

Great Inn in Cape May

4.4 on September 12, 2017

Great location in Cape May just 2 blocks from the beach and 1 block from the mall. The inn was nicely decorated and we really enjoyed sitting on the front porch. I thought it was a little pricey, but I know - it's the shore. The owner was very friendly to talk with. The 3rd floor room was really nice but a little dark due to the dormer window arrangement; nothing to fret about. I thought it was cool that the 3rd floor had an alternate outdoor stairway directly to the parking lot. I'm assuming that was for fire escape, but was a full staircase so we used it. Would definitely go back. (I gave a outstanding for onsite dining because the site said I had to fill it in, but there was no dining)

Captain Mey's - Cape May, NJ

4.6 on August 24, 2017

We really enjoyed our stay at Captain Mey's. The owner was very helpful by text but it was nice to have it fashioned in a "self-serve" way as we were late checking in. We ran into a big storm on the way and didn't get in until 9 pm so it was nice to not disturb anyone and find everything set up so well. The large porch and cushy chairs were also really nice. A full service coffee bar was available for the mornings. The room was pretty and cool and comfy and very clean. Loved it!

A super clean B&B, the best location possible, off street parking, friendly manager and housekeeping.

Great Place to stay!

Although they did not provide any dining, they were more than gracious with providing coffee, tea, glassware, etc.

Worth the money

3.4 on July 18, 2017

No breakfast, but there are plenty of nice places near by. On site parking was convenient, as were the outdoor shower facilities. Beach chairs and beach towels provided. Owners have done well to keep a Victorian feel inside - it was very classy. Great location. Would stay again, but will probably see what else is on offer nest time just for the sake of it.

We have stayed at Captain Mey"s in the past. As long as Rita is in business, we will stay here every time we are in Cape may. Excellent value, close to everything, off street parking, and always accommodating.

Excellent As Usual

We have stayed at Captain Mey's in before and have totally enjoyed the experience. Ms Gayzak is always available with assistance and the rooms are always exceptional. Off street parking is a huge plus. Conveniently located for walking to beach, or shops.
