I’ve stayed at the Nereledge solo and also with family. Always had a great nights sleep. The rooms and beds are cozy and comfortable. The place is incredibly clean. The other guests are pleasant and respectful. I was able to bring grandchildren this year and took them to Storyland. A pack and play, toddler rail, and booster seat were all available. We had the family suite, which was great. Lots and lots of activities within walking distance and nearby. The owners are very knowledgeable about the area and will help put together an itinerary for the day. I learned that the yard is maintained using environmentally friendly practices. I enjoyed the indigenous flowers and the butterflies that were attracted to them. The kids enjoyed feeding the chickens and sitting in the little rocking chairs on the porch..

I have stayed multiple times now at Nereledge. The beautiful old home is a welcoming retreat after days of adventure or just shopping. The hearty breakfast and friendly staff do a great job starting your day off right! The room decor is charming and always encourages me to power off my devices and appreciate a simpler pace.

The Nereledge Inn is in a great location, just off the main drag of North Conway. The inn is casual and comfortable. It has the best beds of any B&B I've stayed in -- nice and firm! There is a large common area and they serve individually made, delicious full breakfasts, which isn't always the case at a B&B. The owner will provide info re local conditions, places to visit, eat out, etc. Friendly and helpful. And it is very reasonable! This is a place I will continue to frequent!

I've been staying at the Nereledge Inn for 15 years and always enjoy my stay. I started staying there when I was climbing and this was my first trip with my 2 year old daughter! Regardless my visit has always been great. Steve and Laura are great hosts and Steve always makes a delicious breakfast. Walking to town or the river is another bonus.

A home away from home - warm and inviting and owners only too happy to make you feel welcome, get you comfortable, not to mention load you up with a great breakfast before headin out for the days climbing. The antithesis of a sterile chain hotel. Looking forward to my next visit.

I was welcomed very well by Steve and his staff. Rooms were very clean and services were great. Breakfast was the highlight for me. Home cooked meal was delicious!! Definitely staying here again!

Stayed 3 nights at the Nereledge while doing some climbing in the area and it could not have been more convenient in every way! The place is in a great location close to town, walking distance to the Main Street, though you might want to drive in the winter! The house itself is so charming - just as a B&B should be with fire stoves and comfy chairs and tea & coffee always available to help yourself to. The rooms & bathrooms are nothing fancy but comfortable and will meet your needs perfectly. And the breakfast is AWESOME! Great people here who want to be helpful in every way, cannot wait to bring my husband back!

Comfy, cozy, delicious breakfast. Accommodated us for early breakfast so we could get out and hit the mountains nice and early!! Steve (owner) was very helpful in giving tips on summit reports, weather, hiking gear & restaurants! Definitely go to MOAT Smokehouse for bbq if you're in town! I would definitely stay here again.

Having only ever stayed in NH in a tent in the mountains, we weren't sure what to expect. This place far exceeded out expectations. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They asked everyone who was hiking if they were prepared and provided tips. We also got a dinner recommendation; the restaurant was amazing! The inn is also only a 5 minute walk into town. Breakfast was great and the inn was very clean and cozy. We booked hoping for a B&B "new england charm", and that is exactly what we got. We will gladly be visiting again!

This was my second stay here, and it was yet again fantastic. Steve is a great guy, and knows the area well, and is very helpful in planning things to do in the area, especially if your primary plans fall through. The breakfast is EXCELLENT, and while the building is old and crocked, it is clean and in good shape and adds a lot to the atmosphere. There is a great atmosphere here, lots of hikers/skiers/outdoorsy people, but also families, all sharing stories. Would recommend.

Comfortable and cozy. Nice place to come home to after a day in the White Mountains. Steve was friendly and gave excellent advice on where to go and what to see. His breakfasts were brilliant. Inn is within a short walk of the Main Street in a North Conway with its restaurants, cafés and shops. Great place to stay.

Steve & Laura were fantastic hosts. Breakfast is delicious, the rooms are clean, and the public sitting room is full of a variety of interesting books. Steve recommended hiking and dining options that we may have otherwise missed. We were never disappointed by his recommendations. We will definitely visit again the next time we go to New Hampshire!

Large, comfortable public rooms and a good cooked-to-order breakfast. It is an old building with the tilts you can expect. The bedrooms were comfortable, as were the beds. But it was the large comfortable public rooms that (with plenty of reading matter) that will make me come back. A nice extra was a comfortable separate "toy" room that any small child will love.

Steve was amazing! So helpful in helping us prepare for our hike, cooked AMAZING food, and was kind enough to help us with dining options in town and point out fun opportunities-- like seeing a bear in local strawberry field. My friend and I had a great time and recommend the place to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay at the Nereledge B and B in North Conway, NH. The rooms were very clean and the home itself had great character and ambiance. The innkeeper was very friendly and discussed different things we could do that day.

We stayed there over the 4th July long weekend. The location and the inn itself are good. There's a living room with books and a tv, a kitchen were you can make tea, a fridge for the use of guests. But by far the most outsatnding featurre of our stay was the advice we received on hikes. Steve checks in with all the guests if their plans are sorted. If not, he takes the time to give advice based on desired length/difficulty of the hike and the weather.

Steve was very informative of the area which helped use to plan our two day stay comfortably and the breakfast was very good as it was cooked to order. However if this B/B was fully booked it would be difficult to stay in because of one shared bathroom on each floor.

Our bed was huge! We got a great night's sleep (especially the night after our hike). The place is well kept. It reminds me of my grandma's house. The only thing more impressive than Steve's awesome advice and delicious french toast is his manly beard.

Whether the name Nereledge is German or Dutch origin, we enjoyed immensely our stay at the inn. The host, Steve, was very welcoming and provided us with very useful tips on park excursions and restaurants. We had a choice of 4 breakfasts and were able to use a fridge for storing wine, water, drinks, etc. Very quiet setting, off the jammed-pack main street in North Conway. We'll be back next fall to enjoy the autumn colours.

My stay at Nereledge Inn was wonderful. I arrived on a very cold and rainy evening and after a long drive I found the Inn to be very cozy and comfortable. The staff was warm and welcoming. My visit to North Conway was greatly enhanced by the personal attention I recieved from the Inn. I had helful tips and directions on everything from where to eat, where to buy books on the local area, sights to see and when was the best time to go. I was directed to places I never would have discovered on my own. It truely made visiting the White Mountians more rewarding. The Nereledge Inn B&B is in a great location for walking to places in town or a very short drive. The breakfast was a great start to a day of exploring. It was tasty and satisfying. The room was comfortable. The public areas were cozy and spacious. I felt very much at home here.

The Nereledge Inn is a traditional B&B only a short stroll from the centre of North Conway with its excellent selection of restaurants and shops. It's a quaint old building with lots of character and rocking chairs on the verandah. The main plus is the hospitality and helpfulness of the innkeeper, Steve, who can't do enough to make your stay enjoyable and is a mine of information about the White Mountains area. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here over Labor Day weekend and chose the Inn because of previous posts about the friendliness and knowledge of the owner about hiking in the area. We were not disappointed! The owner was a wealth of knowledge about where to hike and gladly sat down at breakfast to review this with us. The Inn has a lot of charm and is just far enough away from the hubub of town to make it restful, but still convenient to dining, shopping, etc. It was a very busy weekend and even the summit of Mt. Washington was crawling with people. The Innkeepers kept their cool and seemed to enjoy the guests.

As we arrived at Nereledge, we met Steve and Laura in their car, and learned that Steve had recently had surgery on broken bones in his lower back! However, they were continuing to run their charming, quirky B and B to a quality and standard that reflected their determination to make sure their guests had a great stay. The building is full of character, the rooms are small but more than adequate, and all 4 of our party slept really well in the very comfortable beds. Breakfasts were cooked to order, with fresh ingredients and were lovely! Steve then took the time to ask us (and all the other guests) where we were planning to go, and gave some great advice (although we didn't agree with his recommendation of Littleton!!). A short walk into town, where we enjoyed 2 meals (again, as recommended), helped to complete our very lovely time in North Conway. Don't go to the Nereledge if you want a character-less, functional, bland experience, but do go for a unique, quirky, interesting, comfortable, and friendly place to stay!

My boyfriend and I visited for a long weekend to celebrate my 27th birthday. I've wanted to stay at at B&B since I was a little girl and we love the white mountains, so this seemed the perfect location. The house is charmingly old, exactly what you imagine when you think of a B&B. Additionally, the rates are lower than most in the area, even though the location is wonderful. Probably the best part of the experience though were Steve and Laura (the owners). During breakfast, Steve touched base with everyone staying there to offer customized recommendations of activities for the day. For us, his recommendations of hiking trails and bike routes were spot-on and as an added benefit weren't places I would have found in a tourist guide. Some notes on things that we were initially concerned about. The gear room is perfectly safe (we were initially worried about our bikes). Also, the cats listed on the website were kept away from the guests so I think it would probably even be fine for someone who has an allergy. Also, the rooms with a queen bed and twin bed are perfectly suitable for a couple. From the way the rooms fill on the online reservations, it looks like people shy away from them but we actually found it nice to have the extra space. My final word of praise is for the muffins. Steve made a different flavor every day we were there and my boyfriend loved them!

We have stayed at the Nereledge several times and always enjoy it. Steve and Laura are really nice. The breakfasts are delicious. The living room is cosy and comfortable, great for reading and playing board games in front of the woodstove. This year we stayed in the "family suite" which provided just the right amount of proximity and privacy for our family of four, and was good value. We recommend the Nereledge to anyone who is looking for a lowkey, comfortable, friendly and convenient B&B in North Conway!

This is a great B&B based upon the hospitality of the owners, charm of a rustic but well maintained and clean old building, and very competitive in price. Steve is particularly engaging and helpful in attending to his guests. His wife is pleasant and they have great children. Best place to stay in North Conway.
3.8 on August 25, 2011
The location is perfect. Walking distance ( 5 min) to downtown and short ride to other attractions. Steve shared the "back road" short cuts which made things much easier than driving through town. Steve and Laura are friendly, willing to provide information and help in all ways. Breakfast was wonderful. Sharing a bathroom was not as inconvenient as feared. Kept very clean. Rooms were in great condition and very clean as well. Would have liked internet access in my room, and the public game room was not as user friendly. No darts for the dart board and a bit messy, but there were active children staying at the same time, so that would make sense. Overall a great stay for the money and it will be the first place I call on a return trip to the area.

Family of 4 staying 2 nights at Nereledge Inn. Rooms were spacious, beds very comfortable. The Inn is situated in a peaceful location, but just minutes from the main street. Steve was very welcoming. He cooked amazing breakfasts and provided detailed local information on things to do and see - all tailored to our family's needs. Not only are the bedrooms spacious, but there is a large lounge, games room and area with fridge/freezer and microwave. We will certainly be staying here when we come this way again.

4.2 on July 13, 2011
I keep on coming back to the Nereledge for 2 reasons: it's good value for money, and Steve, the innkeeper, goes out of his way to make sure guests get the most out of their stay. On more than one occasion he's given me advice on where to go hiking that has resulted in fantastic outings that I likely would never have found myself. On this trip he advised us to hike North Kearsage. which was perfect for the time constraints that we had. He also urged us to leave our bikes behind while we hiked, even though we had checked out, so that we wouldn't have to leave them strapped to the car while we hike. This is typical of the "extra mile" that he goes for guests. Breakfasts are always great, and when we've needed to get out early (like 5am), Steve sets up everything we need to take care of ourselves the night before. You can find places with rooms that are more fancy, but the service and knowledge of the area that I get at the Nereledge makes me keep coming back.

Rooms do not have a TV (it's OK with us, but others may care). Breakfast was good with some great sounding options. Close to great views of the White Mountains and to the shopping outlets. I highly recommend for someone looking for a B&B-style stay.

We stayed at the Nereledge Inn B&B, and had a fantastic time. We were traveling to New England for the first time, and had a twenty month old child with us. Steve and his family ran a top notch inn that was very clean, and they also provided us with fantastic tips on the what to see in the surrounding area. Their tips about the attractions in New Hampshire made our stay there that much more enjoyable. Their inn was also very kid-friendly, with a game room filled with toys and high chairs for meals. The breakfast was delicious each morning with tons of options. They even did our dishes every morning, which was no small feat since we were on a road trip with a very small child. My family highly recommends this inn to anyone traveling to New Hampshire, and we would not hesitate in staying there again.

I booked the "family room" being that we were four with out two children. It was not what I had invisioned after having looked at the write up and the pictures available. Also, when booking via this internet site line, it wasn't made clear that when booking the family room, the rate shown is for two persons (double occupancy) only. Other persons beyond two will be an additional charge. I would have made a different choice when booking in this area if the rate made aware to me had been higher than had been presented. I was not aware of the additional charge until after the booking was finalized. I then received a call from the proprietor informing me of the problem with the internet information presented regarding the rate. Even so, my family enjoyed their stay, and the proprietor was more than accomodating and extremely thoughful and kind.

We stayed at the Nereledge Inn while skiing and taking the EMS basic mountaineering course. The Inn was homey and comfortable without feeling as if we were invading someone's home and living space. Steve gave great advice for places to eat and ski. They were accomodating with the mountaineering and skiing gear with a separate room for equipment. Breakfast was hot and good. They even served us early when we climbed Mt. Washington. Hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate were always available. We plan to stay here the next time we come to this area.

A group of us have stay at the Nereledge every January for several years now. It is the perfect B&B for Mt Washington valley; catering to wide rang of visitors who have come to enjoy everything the valley has to offer. There are always guest who have just come back from a day ice climbing on Cathedral ledge or returning from a presidential traverse as well as those who come for a relaxing weekend. The Inn itself is a great old farm house that has settled comfortably with time, and imminently puts one at ease. Breakfasts are large and delicious, perfect way to start the day. Above all else the innkeepers are wonderful, and couldn’t be friendlier or more accommodating. I highly recommend the Nereledge.
