Darby Field Inn

185 Chase Hill Road , Albany, NH 3818 USA (Show map)

This New Hampshire gem is much more than a little bed and breakfast. It is a romantic New Hampshire B&B with gas fireplaces and Jacuzzi rooms/suites, and a menu of in-room special touches, such as chilled champagne, assorted chocolate truffles, or seasonal flowers. The Inn offers an intimate experience for weddings, elopements, and family gatherings - ask us to build a package for you! It is a delicious escape from the ordinary, beginning with our full country breakfast, and continuing with dinner in our mountain-view dining room or cozy tavern (days of service change seasonally). It is a full service North Conway country inn for those looking to relax by the fireplace in the living room, on the patio with its stunning Mount Washington view, with a puzzle in the sun room tavern, in our award winning gardens, or by the crystal clear, heated swimming pool (summer only). This White Mountain Bed and Breakfast is close to North Conway Yet distant enough to have wooded nature trails for snowshoeing, mountain biking or just walking. The perfect way to relax at the end of the day is with on-site spa services, such as a therapeutic massage, or a romantic couple's hot stone massage. Whatever your reason for visiting the White Mountains, the Darby Field Inn offers something for everyone. In fact, once you get here, we bet you'll find many reasons to stay longer!

Quiet time in the white mountains

4.4 on July 06, 2017

My wife and I happened upon the Darby Inn one fall evening after a long day hike a few years ago. It was a little off season and they took us right in to a nice room and hot shower. After a nap We then had an awesome meal with cocktails by the fireplace after dinner. The bed was very comfortable and we had a great breakfast the next morning by one of the many dining room windows looking out over the white mountains. We have been back 3 times since, most recently this past weekend. We highly recommend the Darby Inn. Ask for room #24!

Relaxing & quiet!

Very nice B&B that is conveniently located near shopping & sites. The staff is very friendly & the views are great. Love the hummingbird table!

I booked this trip through living social and was very pleasantly surprised. It's in a beautiful, secluded location but still close to the White Mountains and attractions. Very beautiful setting, room view of the presidential Mountain range and lovely grounds to walk around in. The pool was great, my husband and I had it to ourselves. No kids is another plus, everything was very quiet and relaxing. We stayed in one of the traditional rooms which is quite small, which is why I only gave a 3 to that aspect. Everything else was perfect and breakfast was extraordinary!

Gem off the beaten path

What a surprise to arrive at this beautiful country inn 2 mi above busy Rt 16 just off the Kangamangus Hwy. . Quiet and peaceful. The service and accommodations are some of the best we have encountered at any B and B we have stayed in. Marc -the owner- was most helpful with planning our trip. The living room was warm and comfortable. Comfortable chairs to sit and read.- (it was raining.) The grounds were well cared for with multiple areas of flower gardens, sitting areas and a heated pool. Enjoy a cocktail in the Littlefield Tavern and be mesmerized by the swarms of hummingbirds feeding at the feeders hung on the windows. The entire staff was friendly and made you feel like old friends. We ate in the dinning room both nights. Although the kitchen is a little slow, the food is very good. Breakfasts were delightful. Our room was on the top floor as this seems to be the only rooms that have AC. We had a suite which had a nice sitting room off the bedroom with comfortable couch, chairs and TV. Everything in this Inn is up to date. This is an old Inn and some of the floors tend to slant but that is part of the charm of old! We would highly recommend this Inn and definitely will return.

Stayed at the Inn earlier this week for two nights in the Samuel Room. My husband and I have been visiting inns and bed and breakfasts throughout New England for over 30 years and we have been to some beautiful places BUT the Darby Field Inn was, by far, the most beautiful inn with the most magnificent in. That we have ever visited. The inn and grounds are kept in absolutely meticulous condition. The views from our balcony were more beautiful than my words can describe. The food was excellent. Our waitress for dinner was excellent and so much fun to chat with. Carol, you certainly have met your calling working at the inn. It is very obvious that you take so much pride in what you do and it shows. You always had a smile on your face and were so accommodating. Marc, you have a beautiful property and top notch employees. We absolutely loved every mi ute of our stay. Kathy and Ernie from Rhode Island.

Deciding to elope at the Darby Field Inn was the best decision I made second only to deciding to marry my best friend, David. The quaint, cozy atmosphere and gorgeous mount views from the Mt Washington suite made it hard to leave. The food was DELICIOUS, and Marc, Carol, and Leigh were an absolute pleasure to deal with. THANK YOU for making our special day so memorable. We can't wait to come back!

Valentine Wedding of a Snow Princess

Thank you Darby Inn for making memories with our families. Everything was wonderful, the rooms, the food, the staff. We all enjoyed ourselves and the weather was perfect. The bride and groom look liked something out of fairy tales with your beautiful inn as a location. Thank you

New England Break

As a returning guest, we had an expectation of a similar standard of comfort, welcome, dining and location. We were not mistaken and in fact it exceeded our expectations. The staff were helpful and welcoming; the dining was to die for; and the location is exquisite. We used it as a base to explore New Hampshire and navigated the roads without GPS! Returning each day to a relaxing swim in the pool and a read on our private deck. The Darby Field Inn is a real gem. To all British visitors this is a genuine place to stay: "It does what it says on the tin!" Keith & Christine M
