The review

Excellent accommodations

5 on June 28, 2018

I made reservations for my sister and brother in law to stay two nights. I emailed David to ask some questions about the room, he answered immediately. Excellent communication. They stayed in the Pumpkin Patch. This room was beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. My sister and her husband were very impressed with their accommodations and the breakfast. The Tin Brook Bed & Breakfast is a class act. David went out of his way to make their stay comfortable. I would highly recommend this establishment. Thank you for making my family’s stay special.

Treasure after a Tornado

5 on May 17, 2018

We needed a warm, dry place to stay right after the tornado. Our hearts go out to everyone affected, the volunteers around the area, and to the crews working to help us recover. Luckily, Tin Brook BnB had power and a room available. David welcomed us with personal care and treated us very well. The house, gift shop, and Vineyard Room are lovely. We enjoyed a nice conversation with Donna in the morning. We are very grateful for this wonderful little gem. Highly recommend it. -Richie & Mary

Perfect

4.4 on November 30, 2017

We stayed at Tin Brook due to its distance to Angry Orchard and the great reviews we read. We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast so we gave it a shot. We didn’t see that we had to check in at the gift shop so we were confused at first. Check in was otherwise super easy and fast. Donna showed us to our room, The Vineyard. The room and bathroom were spacious and super clean. Roku was available for our use which was great and convenient. We shared a back entrance with one of the other rooms. They had locked the door at night and we had a little trouble unlocking the door. We were provided with two options for breakfast which was great but were disappointed in the quantity. We opted for the French toast which was absolutely delicious but was only two pieces and two small pieces of sausage. Overall our stay was great. The room was clean, check in and out were easy and fast and everyone was super nice. We would definitely stay here again if we visit the area.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for staying with us. We are so happy to hear that your experience was very positive. Customer service is our number one goal. Because we are not a chain hotel with a traditional “lobby” we have several signs posted around the property as well as a big sandwich board right by the front door that directs people to the gift shop to check in. Our breakfast consists of several hot choices every morning and we always like our guests to leave with a full belly. So, during your next visit feel free to ask for seconds on the French toast or some eggs to go with them. There is no limit…it is included in the price of the room so take advantage of it. I also recommend and encourage guests to help themselves to the breakfast bar. It is always stocked with bagels, toast, fresh fruit, oatmeal, granola bars, a variety of cereals, fresh baked muffins or fruit breads, quiche, milk, juice and coffee. The breakfast bar is available every morning and is set up right in the dining area. Thanks again. See you next time.

This is my go-to place for my visits to upstate NY

Amazing bed, pretty good breakfast

4.8 on October 31, 2017

I stayed here with my fiancé for two days. It more than exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the Pumpkin Patch room. It was very inexpensive, it was the cheapest B&B or hotel in the area. It was a very comfortable size, king size bed, giant tv, and it had a private bathroom with a jetted soaking tub. It would have been nice to have a small mini fridge to keep leftovers or some creamer in for the coffee but for the price I can forgo the mini fridge. They do have bigger rooms with full kitchenettes so if that’s important to you you do have that option. I know some people have commented on the breakfast so I’m going to go more in depth here then I normally would. They had a full contenetial breakfast: cereal, fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, bagels, etc. The woman who works there (who was very nice but who’s name I can not recall) would make you the basic eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and (if the waffle maker hadn’t broken the day before) waffles, whatever you wanted. Now I’ve been to B&Bs that offer fancier breakfast foods: anchovy butter, eggs with chive and mushroom sauce, stuffed French toast, etc. You're not going to get that here however you can’t really beat it for the price. Every other B&B in the area (and even hotel) were much more expensive. The B&Bs had rooms that weren’t as nice and didn’t have private bathrooms. I decided to go with the spot that had the nicer room even if the food might not have been as B&Blike as other places. Other people have commented on having to eat in the gift shop, I didn’t see an issue with that. They are closed to the public until after breakfast is over so it’s not as if you have customers shopping around you. If you hate the dining experience like some people seem to you can take the money you save on the room and easily go out to breakfast but I’d give it a chance. I’m a total foodie, my vacations revolve around the meals but I would come back here every time.

Loved it!

Turned our day trip into a mini weekend adventure. The Tin Roof was a perfect stop. Highly recommended!

Comfortable and Homey

4.0 on October 15, 2017

I found the Tin Brook Bed & Breakfast to have comfortable accommodations at a very reasonable price. The management and staff were very attentive and helpful and the breakfast service pleasingly delicious and homey. The gift shop has a good assortment of souvenirs, knick-knacks, and other goodies to buy. You will enjoy your stay. GP
