Very friendly, adorable place and good value!

5 on May 30, 2017

We stayed at the Tumble Inn over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful experience. Very generous, friendly hosts provided us with a clean, bright and cozy room and a fantastic breakfast - indeed, we needed no lunch on both days! Best of all they are kid-friendly yet maintain a quiet place. I've traveled around quite a bit and normally stay at B&Bs, and I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in this area. Very affordable too.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for taking the time to post a review. Just for clarification, we take children 9 and older out of respect for our guests wanting to escape children! Hope all understand.

Very nice inn

Owners were very nice and helpful, breakfast was as advertised (no lunch after that).

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for the review. As we hit August, we become a little worn from the busy summer season. We hope we can continue to improve as we get a few breaks here and there to recharge.

Simply outstanding

What a beautiful place! The room was a great size, quiet despite the fact that it was a full house, and very peaceful. And breakfast was phenomenal! The breakfast dishes just kept coming and we all felt extremely pampered. Would highly recommend it!

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for the nice review. We are pleased that you enjoyed the inn and Schroon Lake. Please come again.

Tumble Inn Amazing!

5 on May 08, 2016

We had the opportunity to visit Fort Ticonderoga. We decided to stay the weekend. Looking for rooms, we determined to stay in a B and B. I found several, but liked the photos and write UPS on the Tumble Inn. Glad we did! We had the Summer room facing the road. We slept like babies!. Comfortable, clean, antique feel. Never ending cookie jar and Nancy called the restaurant for us. The kind of weekend we needed away from home. Great breakfast and soooo good! We will stay here again.

Innkeeper Response
We are so glad that your got your history quest and had a restful stay with us. We thank you for posting the review and hope that other travelers come to visit the Fort and us. There are so many places to explore here for a wide variety of interests.

We have returned for our 7th stay

4.8 on February 15, 2016

My wife and I have been traveling to Schroon Lake for getaway's, marraige conference weekends at Word of Life Lodge, taking our son to camp and for recent years to visit our son at the Bible Institute and other visits to just "go north". We have tried other inns and motels (disappointing) and are never going to pass on staying at the Tumble Inn again. We just spent our 7th stay at the Tumble Inn, and again was so pleased. Comfortable rooms, fantastic breakfast and always pleasant conversation with Nancy and Larry. The value proposition is extraduanary. My standards are high and they never disappoint.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for taking your time to write a review and for coming back again and again. We know you are moving further away, but we have enjoyed your company and know we will see you again in the spring.

Great Stay!

Loved this b&b. Nancy and Larry are great hosts. The "no lunch breakfast" was delicious and we truly didn't need lunch, even with a hike thrown in our day. B&b is a short walk to tow, highly recommend!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for the review and for your kind words. We hope you will come again. Thanks for letting others see you opinion.

Wonderful Getaway!

5 on December 09, 2015

My husband and I had a lovely stay at Tumble Inn! The room was adorably winter themed and had a claw foot tub! The B&B was charming and romantic, a wonderful place to spend a weekend getaway with a loved one, friends or family.

Innkeeper Response
I am so glad you enjoyed your stay. I am usually pretty burned out by November, but were glad to have a guest in this usual slow time of year. We hope you will return often.

Outstanding! Outstanding! Outstanding!

5 on November 21, 2015

I needed a little get away from LI and this was the most absolutely perfect place to go. Nancy and Larry (the owners) are wonderful people AND wonderful cooks, breakfast was amazing every morning and served right on time at 8:30. Even though I visited "off season" the hot tub was there for my use and it was the perfect temperature. If you do end up staying here (and you should) make sure to say hi to the goat (hysterical) and the two beautiful loving dogs :-)

Innkeeper Response
Thanks so much for the review and for staying with us. I did enjoy your company as well and your openness in advice for a friend. We are glad you got to escape and hope that you will return. The goat has no added Christmas decorations to her list of culinary treats! Merry Christmas.

HIghly Recommended

Room was small but comfortable, if a bit noisy. Hose was friendly & accommodating & breakfast was sensational!

Innkeeper Response
You must have stayed in the Winter Room as it is our smallest room and that is the reason it is priced lower than the other rooms. We are located on Route 9 which has the benefits of easy access to the town and attractions, but does get traffic in the busier months. We hope our hospitality and breakfast compensated for the slight drawback.

About the innkeepers

I am a retired helath/PE teacher. I have loved the Adirondacks and all it has to offer since a young child. Each season brings a unique offering: skiing, x country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, swimming, kayaking, boating, waterskiing or tubing, white water rafting, golfing, volleyball (I used to coach), tennis, pickleball... I love it all. On the quiet side, I do enjoy sewing, reading and crafting, but it's hard to get me to sit still.
