My partner and I return to the Moondance Ridge each December to celebrate our "unofficial" anniversary. Kathy is always so welcoming, the house and grounds are beautiful, the breakfast is delicious, and the rooms are lovely.

This is a great example of a B&B that is run by an innkeeper who clearly loves what she does. Kathy provides accomodations that show that she takes her guests comfort and enjoyment as her highest priority. The rooms are immaculate, spacious and filled with great amenities. The grounds are beautiful, and provide lots of opportunities for relaxation and tranquility. She and Arnie are full of information about the attractions in the New Paltz area, and provide maps, passes, etc. that make it so easy to access any of them. The food is delicious, and once again, Kathy goes out of her way to accomodate any dietary issues, or even simple quirks in her guests' menu preferences. We can't wait to return!

This was our third visit to Moondance Ridge B&B. We absolutely LOVE it!! We stayed in the spacious Moondance suite all three times, beautifully decorated with comfy king size bed, mini fridge, huge private bath w/ jacuzzi, TV, DVD, . We love and recommend the Moondance Ridge for the following reasons: - clean, spacious, comfortable, luxurious and beautifully decorated rooms - private bath with shower and jacuzzi in every room - TV, DVD, WiFi in every room - private outdoor porch or indoor balcony in every room - superior service that is friendly, thoughtful & accommodating. Kathy and Arnie are so welcoming and very helpful with suggestions for dining and activities. They are the perfect hostess and host! We love the homeade cookies and brownies as midafternoon snacks. They supplied us with water and granola bars for our morning hike. The place is emaculate and you feel as though you are at your home away from home. Breakfast is incredible! Great weekend getaway! We will be back very soon!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Moondance for 3 days in July, during our daughter's orientation at SUNY New Paltz. It was our first B&B experience, and we are now spoiled for all future B&Bs! First of all, I encourage you to visit the Moondance Ridge website: http://www.moondanceridge.com/ . It is a well designed and easy to navigate site that will show you exactly what everything looks like. We stayed in the spacious Starry Night suite, beautifully decorated with comfy king size bed, wood floors, pull out sofa, mini fridge, huge private bath w/jacuzzi, TV, DVD, private outdoor porch overlooking a pond with weeping willow trees. I recommend the Moondance Ridge for the following reasons: - clean, spacious, comfortable, luxurious and beautifully decorated rooms - private bath with shower and jacuzzi in every room - TV, DVD, WiFi in every room - private outdoor porch or indoor balcony in every room - superior service that is friendly, thoughtful & accommodating. Our needs were anticipated, and our requests were graciously met. - delicious breakfasts that considered our dietary requests (our favorite: the to-die-for pumpkin belgium waffles served with crisp turkey bacon, OJ, and a fresh strawberry & banana smoothie) - complimentary soda, water, fresh fruits, nuts, chocolates, coffee, teas, lemonade throughout the day. Very thoughtful. - spacious common areas that include a large stone fireplace, library of up-to-date DVD/CD/books/board games, comfortable seating, beautiful views, computer, fresh flowers on every table, and an art gallery covering the walls. - well maintained grounds featuring gardens, nature walks though the woods, a pond with frogs, hammocks, seating, sauna - location that is private and close to New Paltz main street with shopping and dining, SUNY New Paltz college, hiking trails, golf I will definitely go back! Feel free to contact me with questions nklei at optonline.net!

We stayed at Moondance Ridge Columbus Day weekend 2008. The weather was perfect and so was our stay. Kathy does everything possible to make you feel at home. The fresh baked cookies in the afternoon, cold water in the fridge in the room, dvd's, books, scents for the whirlpool tub, and bathrobes are just some of the little extras that make you feel pampered. The grounds have a wooded paths to walk, a labyrinth, and hammocks to doze in. The common rooms have large windows so you can enjoy the scenery while eating breakfast or sitting by the fire. We can't wait to go back.

The rooms are comfortable and spotless. Kathy treats you like one of the family. The bath robes are a nice touch. She encourages you to relax in the sauna or the in-room jacuzzi. She provides a variety of snacks as well as liquid refreshments throughout the day, and encourages you to help yourself. This was our second stay, with the anticipation of returning soon. I am not one to write reviews but that changed with my stay at Moondance Ridge Bed & Breakfast it was a warm wonderful experience I had to share. The weather decided to turn ugly by the late afternoon but Kathy and her family and staff helped us revise plans to change some outdoor events into indoor activities. The food was excellent and my room was immaculate. I still have not stopped telling people about the place. I can’t wait to go back. It is only a bus ride from the madness that is NYC and this escape is worth the trip.

My fiancée and I recently spent a weekend at Moondance and we had an absolutely great time. The trip from NYC was quick and easy and the location was optimal as it is quietly set off the road but still only a short ride from town. The food was unique and delicious and the hospitality of the host was even better. Comfortable would be an extreme understatement as couples and families gathered around the common areas, which includes an awesome fireplace. Can’t wait to go back!

Two long weekends here and we are convinced we have found the gem of B&B's. Kathy's hospitality is genuine, the inn spotless, the grounds charming, the bed so comfortable, breakfast and snacks delicious and healthy. Recuperating from spinal surgery, I found a bath chair waiting, a step stool to the bed and body pillow for my comfort. Ramp access aided comings and goings. My husband and I truly relaxed and refreshed ourselves here and will return many times. We recommend Moondance Ridge without reservation--but you better get a reservation if you want to be among the lucky five guests, weekend or weekday!

My wife and I booked a getaway weekend at the Moondance Ridge in early March. While the torrential rains put a damper on our plans for wine tasting and walking around the 'Gunks, the Moondance Ridge was a wonderful port in the storm. The spacious accomodations, the yummy breakfasts and a glass of the local vintage in front of the cozy fireplace made for a lovely, relaxing stay.

From the moment we arrived at this charming setting, we knew it would be the perfect weekend--and it was! Our room was beautiful, cozy and immaculate. Our host, Kathy, was so welcoming and catered to every possible need. We're not usually breakfast eaters, but this one was irresistible (and delicious!). We enjoyed a great local hike and plenty of time exploring the very charming town of New Paltz, filled with great dinner options! All in all - a perfect weekend!

Run, don't walk. Moondance Ridge is a wonderful place for a weekend respite. From beginning to end, no detail, big or small, was overlooked. Our room was cozy and charming and the fireplace was truly an added pleasure. The whirlpool wasn't so bad either :-). By the way ... the breakfast is simply wonderful. If you're going to New Paltz, Moondance Ridge is the place to stay.

In a nutshell, everything was perfect. We stayed 3 days, 2 nights, and my expectations were exceeded. Patti and her husband are simply wonderful people, and the breakfasts were OUT OF SIGHT! So tasty! We lucked out and missed the rain, and had a nice little walk around the property. Everything we did was less than 15 minutes driving distance (including the haunted house and the farms). We even caught 2 shooting stars in the extremely clear, star-filled sky (how romantic, huh?) I would not hesitate in recommending this location, and I can't wait to go again!
