Wonderful B & B

4.0 on October 09, 2016

We spent two nights in the Fairlawn Inn and were very impressed. The owner is very helpful with information about restaurants, places to go, etc. The breakfast was wonderful - juice, coffee, pastries, fruit and after that anything you want - eggs, pancakes, etc. The Inn is beautiful and very well decorated. We stayed in the Glenwood room and loved the double jacuzzi and the fireplace. For some reason I can't click on "outstanding" and can only hit "Exceeded my expectations", but I would really rate the Inn as outstanding in all aspects.

Nothing short of perfect

4.8 on September 17, 2016

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The Inn was beautiful, intriguing and wonderfully decorated. The room was excellent and the owners were terrific hosts, preparing delightful breakfasts every day. My one complaint is that the bed was so hard that I had pain in my back for a few hours after waking up each day, but I quickly forgot about it as I was having such a great time. Thanks a lot!

Amazing Get-A-Way!

Chuck, the inn-keeper, is amazing!! We stayed in the Glenwood room at the Fairlawn Inn for the 2016 Taste of Country Music Festival. It was our first time and Chuck immediately made us feel at home. He told us of the Kaaterskill Falls as well as where to go for good food and where the "not-so-good food was. The room, along with the Inn as a whole was very quaint and very clean! The food was outstanding every morning and the snacks and beverages at night were equally enjoyable! After a night of great music, we were welcomed back with a cozy fire in the yard to warm up to. The last night, we spent in front of the fireplace in the main living area of the Inn where we were accompanied by Chuck and his great hospitality! It was an incredible weekend, one we won't soon forget! The Fairlawn Inn is certainly on our list as a place we will visit again!

Great stay at the Fairlawn

The Fairlawn is a nice relaxing B&B in Hunter, NY. This is an old building with a lot of charm. Flowers abound & there is a nice cozy patio with a fire pit to have a nightcap. The owner Chuck went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable & engaged us enough to know he really cares about his business. We would stay here again

Catskills Gem in Hunter, NY

5 on June 18, 2016

We recently traveled from Portland, OR to spend time with family on the east coast. We met in Hunter, NY and stayed at Fairlawn Inn. The Inn has great "curb appeal" with a well-maintained exterior and beautifully landscaped grounds. The interior is furnished with antiques and collectibles which create a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The main floor of the Inn is available to guests; amenities include a sitting room, pool table, and snack area. Another great place to hang out is the patio, lushly landscaped and including a firepit and fountain. Breakfast is prepared to order from a menu of eggs, pancakes, and omelettes. The Inn is within walking distance of Hunter Mt. and other Catskill destinations are within easy drives. A variety of outdoor activities are readily available. Great birding in the area. Innkeeper Chuck was welcoming and accommodating. This would be a great place for a group/family get-together. Ann B.
