This was my first time staying in a B&B. I was very nervous that it would ruin my travel experience but it actually did the opposite! We were greeted as soon as we got out of the car and PattI made use feel at home right away. Patti was warm and friendly and helped us with ideas for dinner and things to do. The room was exactly what we needed, not huge but enough room to be comfortable and clean! Patti made us a wonderful breakfast both mornings that we were there, way better than a breakfast you would get at a hotel. The B&B was in a perfect location, we were able to drive places, but also walk into town, which was only about a 5-10 minute walk. I will be looking into more B&B's in the future when we travel and can only hope that they are as good as the Rose & Thistle!

We only had a couple of days to stay in Cooperstown on our recent wander around Upstate NY and VT. The Rose and Thistle was an excellent choice at which to stay. It was on the edge of town (Cooperstown isn't that big), so it wasn't too far from anything we wanted to see or do. Patti, our proprietor, was a wealth of information, and we were given lists of restaurants, local maps and brochures upon arrival. Our bed was VERY comfortable, and the B&B was quiet. The front porch is a wonderful spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or to just sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. We were very comfortable, and really enjoyed spending time with Patti, sharing stories.

Patti is an excellent hostess. She gave us tremendous advice on places to eat and places to visit. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the rooms were very comfortable. The place is in a perfect location with a grocery store and restaurant very close by. It is a 10 minute walk to the downtown area, very convenient. I highly recommend it

Love the family style breakfast arrangement - one big table - got to meet-and-greet w/ everyone - like being at a comedy club at no additional charge. Gracious host. Comfortable and convenient accomodations. Would definitely come back / recommend. Thanks, Patti!

We had such a comfortable and enjoyable stay at Rose and Thistle that we didn't want to leave. Our only regret was that we hadn't planned to stay longer. Patti is a warm and genuine hostess, and her wee dog Morgan will melt your heart. Delicious breakfast, with very good near-by dining options. We will definitely be returning!

My husband and I went to Cooperstown for a weekend getaway from NYC. We loved this b&b. The house is beautifully decorated and very charming. The owner, Patti, couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. Her breakfasts each morning were delicious and beautifully presented. Patti has a great sense of humor and nearly had us rolling on the floor with laughter. We were treated like cherished family for the weekend. I look forward to going back!
