Bella Rose Bed & Breakfast

290 N. Main St. , Canandaigua, NY 14424 USA (Show map)

Built in 1895, this historic Victorian B&B has been totally restored to its original glory by its current owners. Original stained glass windows, an ornate oak staircase and paneled chimney are just some of special features in this Finger Lakes B&B. Three guest rooms, all with private baths, are thoughtfully and tastefully decorated with Victorian touches, but have all the modern amenities guests want and need such as air jetted tubs, fireplaces, central a/c, cable HDTV, DVD/CD. Located in the historic district, shops, attractions, restaurants, and Canandaigua Lake are a short walk away. A scrumptious three-course breakfast is served daily.

Wonderful place!

5 on January 19, 2018

We only stayed on night, but it was a great night. I loved how beautiful it was inside in the common areas and our room was great. We were in the area for a wedding across the street and they were very helpful and accommodating. I was worried our room would be too small, my husband is 6' 7", but he fit and there was enough space for the two of us. Breakfast the next day was so tasty! I don't eat beef or pork and what they made for us was excellent. Again, we only stayed one night but they made it perfect!

Great B&B and local to HWS

5 on November 08, 2017

We were visiting Hobart and William Smith Colleges for family weekend. We were late in making a reservation, and could not find a room in Geneva. We branched out and found Bella Rose Bed & Breakfast in Canandaigua. What a great find! It was close, a very scenic 15-20 minute ride to HWS. And what a beautiful house to stay in! The house is beautifully renovated with nice gardens. Very clean and comfortable. We would definitely stay at the Bella Rose again!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for your kind words! Geneva IS a hop, skip and a jump from Canandaigua and offers a variety of additional activities, restaurants, shops and such. With kind regards,

Mom&Daughter Girls Getaway

5 on October 31, 2017

My mom and I spent a couple nights at the Bella Rose this September. This place is worth every single penny. After we made our reservation I got an email from Jill & Rob with information on the B&B and area, with a very thorough list of restaurants including the atmosphere and price range of each, as well as their proximity to the B&B. It was nice to get the email and a "we look forward to seeing you" even though our stay was months away. When we got there Jill immediately asked us if we would like any recommendations for dinner, and then called to make sure we had a table waiting for us. Then she answered all of our questions and gave us information and suggestions before showing us to our room. And let me tell you. This room. We stayed in Anne Eliza's Suite, and its just so pretty. The bed is a masterpiece. The mattress is the comfiest plush thing and probably weighs as much as two of me, but that isn't even the best part. The sheets were the most delightful softest things I have ever laid on. I tried to pry what kind they were from her twice to no avail haha. But she did say when she was picking the sheets she had her daughters friends sleep over and try all different sheets and they all agreed these ones were the best, I agree girls, I agree. Last but not least, Jills breakfast. This woman should've been a chef. The breakfast she made rivals dinners I have had in gourmet restaurants. DO NOT MISS BREAKFAST. Trust me you will regret it. It was my favorite part of our stay really and you can tell Jill genuinely enjoys it. And it kept us full well past lunch. I'm planning on getting my boyfriend out there for a couple days next year!

I stayed at the B&B for two evenings. The hosts, Jill and Rob, were very friendly and helpful. The accommodations were very comfortable and the house is beautiful!! Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Canandaigua is a very nice town to visit with a beautiful lake to view. The neighboring wineries were convenient and welcoming!! Great weekend!

Nice B&B experience

4.0 on July 27, 2017

Tight quarters but very clean and tastefully decorated, refurbished Victorian house. Would've been nice to have a sitting room large enough for 4 people. Instead we had to hang out in the dining area. But very nice. Inn keepers are attentive and warm . Great place for a couple.

Great breakfasts, and the room was really nice and peaceful. The hostess was great - she knew about the area very well and gave great recommendations regarding activities and local attractions. She also knew the local restaurants very well.
