we just had a wonderful 3 night stay and didn't want to leave... the best part about the place is hands down the owners, Scott and Marla and their family make it such a comfortable place to come back to each night. from the beautifully appointed apartment with the cozy bed, fully equipped kitchen, and bathroom, to the birds singing in the morning, and then there's the fresh bagels, croissants and muffins with fresh fruit every morning! could not have been more perfect! thanks guys!! xo

We really enjoyed our stay at Stoney's Inn. The location was perfect. The neighborhood was charming with residential on the side off main 7th Ave, which has two subway stations nearby. We could go anywhere easily and come back feeling safe. We spent a couple of hours of our last night at Brooklyn Bridge Park enjoying the best night view of Manhattan. Scott and his son Jessie helped us solved a couple of the problems and made our stay comfortable. Scott delivers fresh bagels (the best in NYC) very morning. He also stock the refrigerator with fruits, juice, milk and snacks. The bed was made and the room was cleaned every other day. Staying at Stonely's Inn was a great choice for our trip.

Unlike many other inns, this is a single garden apartment with a semi-private entrance off the street and access to the quiet back yard. The proprietor lives above and is totally intent on meeting your needs. They stocked the refrigerator with every food we mentioned in response to their inquiry email. The space is ample, with a desk, comfortable chairs, very nice bathroom, and fully equipped kitchen. The location was perfect for us, the neighborhood peaceful and beautiful. We look forward to going again!

We spent 10 nights at Stoney's Inn in September and we would have been able to spent 100 more! We enjoyed the room, the backyard, the neighborhood and specially the details from Marla and Scott. For sure we will come back. Jordi & Mari

Me and my girlfriend stayed 5 nights at Stoney`s Inn. We enjoyed it very much. Due to the outstanding reviews below, our expectation was very high. But Stoney`s Inn lives up to these promises without any difficulties. I can verify every single detail. A big thank you to the Innkeepers and there family for being an important part of our perfectly wonderful city break.

My son and I were made to feel very welcome - with plenty of (unobtrusive) support available. Our basement apartment was fantastic and staying in Brooklyn was great - an interesting place in itself (e.g. the cafes/restaurants and the amazing Prospect Park) and a calm and relaxing counterpoint to busy Manhattan. Travelling to Manhattan was easy - a short walk to a subway station then 30 minutes to Times Square. We'd stay here again.

Please don't stay here or it may soon become impossible for me to return !!! Seriously though, coming from New Zealand and staying 10 days at Stoney’s was one of those truly unique, unexpected travelling experiences. It wasn’t so much the very private apartment, the safe, quiet, friendly area, the usual New York attractions or even the awesome local pizza. It was staying with these big-hearted people. These quality people quite simply bring love to absolutely everything they do and these days I find that to be something quite rare. Graham Hennessy, Christchurch, New Zealand

From the first day we arrived at the Stoney's Inn we knew it would be sad to leave. Everything was fantastic, especially knowing Gail. We hope to return soon. Leti & Ferran.
FYI, Gail is a good friend who stays at our place and takes care of the B&B when we are away on vacation! Thanks Gail!

Stayed 11 nights at Stoney´s Inn and liked it very much. Marla and Scott are great hosts, providing a friendly atmosphere while respecting your privacy. The apartment is a good place to relax after a long day in the city. Park Slope offers a variety of nice restaurants. Stoney´s Inn is perfect for early birds (on working days the house "awakes" rather early) and down-to -earth guests: If you do have a problem with (even moderate) acoustic guitar sessions (some family members play musical instruments), you should head for another place to stay.
A mantra of ours is "Let us know if there is anything you need or desire!". If acoustic guitar is not your "cup of tea" just let us know! If quiet is what you crave, it's just a request away!

After a 10 day stay in November at Stoneys' Inn we warmly recommend it. We enjoied every minute of our stay. Marla and scott, the hosts, are a chrming and warm couple who took care of our every need and made us feel at Home away from Home. The room is very pleasant and comfortable. The fridge was filled with food, milk, juice. Every thing we asked for was there. Every thing written on the site is true and exact. The room is a five minute walk from the subway. Park Slope neighborhood is charming and a pleasnat place to take a walk or dine in one of the many resturants. There is no doubt that on our next visit in Brooklyn we will be staying at Stoneys' Inn. there is

Our warmest recommendations ! We stayed 3 persons for a week in October and enjoyed every minute - charming house with all facilities you might need, outstanding warmth and service from your hosts, great neighbourhood and still so close to the centre of NYC. Actually we´d almost prefer to keep this place to ourselves :) We´ll be back again and again !

I was really suprised when I first arrived, seeing a little white broad with our names a a little note written on it to welcome us for the stay. Necessities are well prepared in abundance, with aesthetic decorations. A very poignant feeling arises as I think about how much work Scott and Marla payed for strangers that they have not even met yet! They noticed every details and needs. That's what makes our stay so special and warm.

I was only able to stay for 1 night as they were fully booked for the rest of the week, which was a shame. The host was extremely helpful and friendy, despite the fact I was 3 hours late. Once I arrived, he asked me what I liked for breakfast then promptly went out and bought it! The place was spotless.Lovely location, right next to Prospect Park and 7th Avenue. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a friendly place to stay outside manhattan.

when we went to Brooklyn this summer (08) after a long trip with two kids- the first place we felt being right, it was just wonderful. The appartment, the familiy keeping it- everything was just perfect. Staying in such a warm and cosy place it is even more fun to explore the rest of the world. We will come again, Doris, Je and Jo
