Overall not a bad overnight stay for us. Somethings you should note: You are staying in what was an estate for the wealthy. But almost 100 years ago. The manor has not been updated to many modern hotel amenities. Maybe best to stay in the spring or fall. The air conditioning in the rooms leaves a lot to be desired. If you park in lot 1 at night, make sure you have a flashlight or cell phone light. The walk to the inn is pitch dark. Its a lot of fun but some people could be unnerved by the darkness. However, the view of the nighttime sky is awesome. There is no food except for a simple breakfast. No eggs or anything like that. We had a great dinner at nearby Mt. Fuji Hibachi restaurant. If you go, make a reservation. All in all, we had a good overnight stay. I would come back in the fall. Not summer. The room was too warm for us until the early morning hours and the portable A/C in the room was very loud. It was fun to explore the manor and get a glimpse of how the wealthy lived a hundred or so, years ago. Sorry that we did not see any ghosts!

What a disappointment. First off, the mansion and surrounding grounds are stunning. That being said, the amount of attention and care that went into converting the mansion into a hotel is comically minimal. It’s obviously an afterthought. Power went out during our stay. (Not their fault). But no flashlights were provided and was greeted with an attitude when inquiring about it. The innkeeper is miserable and should learn some basic social courtesies. Leaves on the floor of the room. NOTHING is provided. Brought our own jug of water. Bed was cheap (rocked and swayed like a survival raft every time me or my GF moved during the night). Anywho, not recommended.

Great service, including breakfast, We had the whole place to ourselves! Absolutely beautiful facility - takes you back in time. The only problem we had was that you could not take a shower or bath - there was a problem with the hot water that day. Overall.enjoyed the visit.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Skylands Manor. It was fun to explore and the staff was outstanding. Breakfast was great and plentiful. The grounds were beautiful as well. Would definitely recommend it.

My friend and I stayed here for one evening. The Castle at Skylands Manor was beautiful, clean and the rooms were great (we felt fancy). The grounds were amazing, we had such a wonderful time just relaxing and enjoying the view. The staff were friendly, helpful and really made us feel welcome. The breakfast left a little to be desired as it was pretty basic and the coffee was weak (they might want to think about changing brands) but overall it was perfectly fine.

This place is absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I had such a great time. Only thing I recommend is getting an upgraded room such as the gatsby or better so you don't have to share a bathroom. This is how the place is designed. The staff was more than accommodating. Very nice and helpful. They went able and beyond to make sure we were good. There was a breakfast buffet in the morning with great food. It was truly and experience and very amazing! We though we'd be cold in the winter but the heat worked great! Can't wait to go back in the summer!

We stayed in one of the rooms with a shared bathroom. My only complaint was that the doors both to the rooms and the bathrooms are a little quirky and slam shut pretty loudly so we didn't sleep well because we were regularly awakened by the slamming of bedroom or bathroom doors. Otherwise the castle and grounds were gorgeous! And everything, minus the room situation described above, was quiet and magical! It was a real treat to stay in a castle for a night :)

Was looking to take my fiance somewhere for a night around Christmas time as I was home on military leave. Was recommended the Skylands Manor by my sister. Our stay was something we will never forget. The night we were there we were the only guests in the castle so the lovely innkeeper let us explore the empty rooms. I couldn't believe how antique and rustic they were. Amazing, to say the least. We stayed in the Knight's Suite (which I recommend as it's the only room with a canopy bed). My fiance loved it as it was a surprise for her. And not to mention the delicious meal the Innkeeper made for us. Spinach Crepes. 5 Star Quality service. 10/10 I would visit and stay the night again. Hopefully in the spring or summer when the flowers are in bloom.

Wonderful experience of historic home, castle and beautiful gardens. My second time at Skyland. This stay was in summer and hot. A/C should have been turned on before we arrived on 3rd floor. Took much more than the 30 minutes, we were told to become bearable! Breakfast selection was not as extensive as past and quiche rolls were not warm. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I love the grounds and historic castle setting.
