The Mason Cottage is a lovely country Victorian B&B located in the historic town of Cape May, NJ. The inn is OPEN ALL YEAR and is just one block from the beach and promenade and two blocks from many fine shops and intimate restaurants. The Mason Cottage is endowed with lofty ceilings, full-length windows and a sweeping veranda, all so characteristic of Victorian homes of the period. While the inn maintains its historic charm, there are many modern conveniences for guests to enjoy, such as: Wi-Fi, Guest iPad in parlor, ice machine, 24 hour coffee/tea bar, as well as complimentary bicycles, beach chairs and towels during the warmer months. There are nine lovely antique appointed rooms/suites to choose from, each with en-suite baths, Bluetooth wireless FM clock radios, flat screen HDTV’s, luxurious robes and individual climate control. Most suites offer a Jacuzzi tub, gas fireplace and mini-refrigerator. A full gourmet breakfast, as well as afternoon tea and snacks is included in the nightly rate.

This was our first time to Cape May. Since we are both school teachers, we typically take a mini vacation in March or April during Spring Break. We have been hearing so much about this little town in New Jersey called Cape May, that we had to check it out for ourselves. My husband and I are frequent B&B'er's and do a lot of research on accommodations before deciding on the right place to stay. There are so many B&B's in town, that it's hard to choose. We decided on the Mason Cottage. It received great reviews and fit everything that we typically look for in a B&B (center of town so we can walk, a private bathroom and a great breakfast). Patti, the Innkeeper, is such a sweetheart! From the moment we checked in, we felt right at home. She makes a great breakfast each morning and coming home in the afternoon to tea and snacks was a special treat. We stayed in the Davis Suite. It was very spacious, beautifully decorated and not cluttered with knick-knacks (which is always a plus). Overall, we loved everything about our trip, a charming seaside town, a fantastic B&B and great restaurants - what more can anyone ask for!

My husband and I received a gift card for the Mason Cottage in Cape May. Since I have severe allergies to many foods, we were concerned that meals could be a problem. However the innkeeper, Patty, went out of her way to make sure that I had ample food available for both breakfast and tea time. Servings were huge and Patty constantly checked to make sure that I had what I was able to eat. My husband and I had a great getaway and hope to again visit Mason Cottage in September.

Every year we go to the Cape May to celebrate Thanksgiving. We go with my stepdaughter and her husband. And there is only one place to stay in Cape May: The Mason Cottage. This B&B is just a block away from the beach and two blocks away from shopping on the Washington Mall. So the location is perfect! Add to that a beautiful, immaculate home away from home and unbelievable breakfasts with Innkeeper Patti Goyette and you have the perfect recipe for a great holiday celebration! This year we also celebrated my 60th birthday while we were there. We love the teas: Patti makes the best treats on Columbia Avenue. She also has great recommendations for restaurants and shopping and spa services. It is really our Cape May home away from home because it is an unbelievable value, has great amenities, a prime location, is clean and comfy and has Cape May's premier Innkeeper!! Oh and don't forget to take a look at all the framed photos around the Inn: Patti is not only an Innkeeper but a great photographer and those photos are for sale. We have framed Patti's photos in three rooms in our home in Fort Washington. So go for it: Treat yourself and stay at The Mason Cottage!!! Jane BP
Jane BP, Thank you for your kind review. It is always lovely having you and John here for a stay and now the extended family!! Love and Blessings for a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Patti and the Mason Cottage Family

We had the unique opportunity to stay at The Mason for 4 nights, we fell in love with Patti and her staff. The B&B itself sits in an idyllic location--1 block from the beach and 2 blocks from the wonderful shopping area. We loved having breakfast on the wrap around porch, feeling the ocean breezes, visiting with our "new neighbors " and relaxing. We would return here and/or recommend The Mason to our friends. Doug & Tanya Githens
Thank you Githens! We loved having you and can't wait to see your smiling faces again for breakfast on the porch!

Every year we visit The Mason Cottage. It has everything: it's comfortable and welcoming and near the beach and has comfy, clean accommodations. Breakfasts are huge and delicious and afternoon tea is always yummy!!! And it is also near the best restaurants and shopping in Cape May. And don't forget to get that spa experience at Cape May Day Spa. Patti Goyette, Innkeeper of the Year, will be happy to make those spa reservations and dinner reservations and outing reservations. She is the best of the best!!

Situated in the heart of Cape May within walking distance of the best dining, shopping, beach and sightseeing, theMason Cottage is THE place to be in town. It is immaculate, has a warm and friendly atmosphere and the best breakfasts in town. Patti is the ultimate in innkeepers and literally takes care of everything for you, making reservations, spa appointments and has wonderful suggestions for the place to dine. We have been coming to the Cottage twice a year for five years and we absolutely love the convenience, the ambience and everything about the B&B. So this time, we rented a suite for my stepchildren and they too loved it. We are already booked for our annual Thanksgiving week trip. And the best part is that Thanksgiving is my birthday this year and I cannot imagine anywhere I would rather be than the Mason Cottage!! We always stay in the Davis suite and love the spacious suite. My stepchildren stayed in Warner which they loved. Their father is very excited that they will be joining us for Thanksgiving this year because they are so impressed with this wonderful, slice of heaven

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at the Mason Cottage in Cape May, NJ. The innkeeper, Patti, was exceedingly helpful, the food was delicious and the inn was spotless. We were there for the first Friday wine and chocolate hour and were indulged with an unbelievable array of chocolate goodies! It is located in the heart of Cape May, and it's an easy walk to the beach, the shops and a load of wonderful restaurants. We definitely would go back.

We just returned from the perfect two-night getaway at The Mason Cottage from June 12-14. This was our very first time there and actually our very first B&B visit ever! The inn was absolutely lovely, and our innkeeper Patti couldn't have been nicer. The location is perfect, a block from the beach and within walking distance to the Washington Street Mall shops. The breakfasts were truly gourmet. We were in the Davis Suite, which had bright windows, a sitting area with fireplace, and even a Jacuzzi tub! Our suite was spotless, decorated perfectly, and cozy. The little extras truly make the Mason Cottage the perfect choice if you're heading to Cape May...free use of bicycles and beach chairs, convenient and free parking right outside on the street, and an afternoon tea from 3-4 which was such a nice pick-me-up in the late afternoon. I can't say enough positives about the wonderful time we had. Thanks to our innkeeper Patti, we are definitely going to be B&B'ers for life!!! We can't wait to return to The Mason Cottage....we loved it!
