Our get away weekend.

4.8 on April 19, 2018

We were met by Diana. Who has a very warm and welcoming smile and greeting. Our weekend stay was wonderful. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. And the extra special treats Diana bakes at tea time are worth the stay. We will definitely be back this summer.

New Years Weekend

4.4 on January 17, 2018

We had a great time celebrating New Year's in Cape May! The Dormer House was wonderful. Great snacks and coffee and great conversation in a beautifully decorated Living Room. The house was decorated for Christmas and the staff could not have been more welcoming. Cape May was beautiful during the holidays. We hope to be back again at the Dormer House as it met and exceeded our expectations! A perfect stay for a perfect weekend!

The Dormer House cannot be beat!

5 on December 28, 2017

We try to visit The Dormer House at least twice per year; i.e. on our wedding anniversary and during the Christmas season. We are never disappointed. The property is in a great location in the historic district and the staff is top notch.

Christmas Preview at Cape May's Dormer House

5 on November 24, 2017

Simply cannot say enough about our stay at the Dormer House. We always wanted to see Christmas there and this turned out to be the perfect opportunity. Special thanks to Diana, Mike and Katie (have told everyone about Katie leaving "tea time" treats for us when we returned late from the theater matinee....Very Thoughtful!!) Hope to visit again in 2018.

A wonderful four days

4.0 on October 30, 2017

Service deserves a 5 but the system isn't taking it. The room was pleasant, the food was delicious and varied, The staff always responded quickly to questions and requests. And really, it was a bargain in comparison with other local B & B's. And, also it was clean. A nice quiet October week in Cape May- just what we wanted.

Cute place with a friendly staff

3.0 on October 30, 2017

The house was cute, quiet, breakfast was good. My only complaint would be the water pressure in the shower was really not good. We got a room with a jetted tub but it would have taken an hour to fill due to the water pressure, so we didn’t use it.

Wonderful Stay!

4.2 on October 30, 2017

My husband and spent the weekend (Oct 27-29, 2017) at the Dormer House to celebrate our 24th Wedding Anniversary. Being recent empty nesters, we were just looking to get away for some alone time. The Dormer House was very quiet and romantic. From sitting on the swing on the front porch to lounging in the sitting room, everything was amazing. The house is beautifully furnished making you feel like you're back in time. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking on premises is also a big plus. We would definitely return to the Dormer House. Thank you Diana for a wonderful stay!

Like Coming Home

4.6 on October 23, 2017

We just spent another 3 nights in beautiful Cape May. This is our fifth stay at The Dormer House and my husband and I really enjoy it. The room is spacious and comfortable, the service is excellent, and breakfast is always tasty. Tea time is an extra treat with delicious cookies and sweets. This time we came with friends from Colorado and had a delightful visit sitting on the front porch in the afternoon and in the comfortable living room in the evenings. The location is perfect. We parked the car in their off-street lot on arrival and didn't take it out again until departure. We walked to the beach, shopping, restaurants, and historic sites. Another wonderful fall vacation in Cape May.

My favorite place to stay in Cape May

3.6 on October 15, 2017

In the 33 years we have been coming to Cape May the Dormer House has evolved to meet our needs. (When the children were small it was efficiency apartments). The rooms are now attractively furnished with period pieces. Bathrooms are updated. The breakfast on the enclosed porch is excellent, and afternoon tea is an added bonus. The site is right in the middle of historic Cape May and you can wander the streets and the beach for hours observing Victorian houses in many colors. The Dormer House has its own parking lot and you are close enough to Washington Mall to walk to the beach, shops, restaurants, and theater. America has always worshiped small town America, and this is where you can experience it today.
