Comfortable elegance in a classic Second Empire inn, the only Cape May B&B originally built as a guest house. We offer eight uncluttered guest rooms and two suites, each with a mix of period and contemporary furnishings, private bath, flat-screen TV and air conditioning ... a few with ocean views & two with private porch. The Mooring is in Cape May's historic district, one building back from the beach and an easy walk to the restaurants and shops of this small town. Complimentary on-site parking available for all premium rooms and suites. Free street parking available for the two standard rooms.

We stayed at The Mooring for a long weekend. We were accommodated from the very start with changing our arrival to a late check in. The first thing that we said when we walked into our room (room 6) was "Oh! It smells so clean!". We have stayed in multiple bed and breakfasts in Cape May and that was the first one that we said that about. There is just something about smelling clean along with being clean. We met an elderly gentleman on the porch with while drinking our coffee who asked us if we had every had Vince's breakfast before. When we said no, his response was "You're in for a treat!" and he was right! The breakfast was excellent every morning. The sweet and savory option was great because we split everything! The coffee was even excellent! Vince came around and made sure that everything was great and asked us our plans for the day and if we needed any suggestions. The location was very convenient. The beach is a half a block away with bike rentals right across the street. And the off street parking (available with most rooms) was one of the deciding factors for us. If you have ever been to Cape May during the summer, you will understand why! Sorry for rambling on but I feel that informative reviews will give many people advice to book at The Mooring. We will definitely be staying there again!

Due to our usual B&B in Cape may being sold, we searched out a new one. The Mooring was our choice - and was the best in every way. For a combination of price, value, location...you will not find a better deal in Cape May. Vince & Leslie are gracious and helpful hosts. Their B&B is stunning and immaculate. We did not want for anything. Vince was always available should we have a question or need anything...and his restaurant suggestions were spot-on. Bravo! We will be back!

Everything about "The Moorings" is always enjoyable, including the innkeepers, the other lodgers and the location.

The Mooring was a fabulous last minute find for us:) What gem! We are Cape May regulars that mostly steer away from B&B's and stick to guest suite/houses. HOWEVER we will Definitely be returning to the Mooring! Leslie and Vince are welcoming and kind and professional and our room was super comfortable and spotlessly clean and the whole house was very open and comfortable to come and go from! The front porch, while being just one block from the buzz of activity, was quiet and cool and breezy. The breakfast was delicious and we liked being at a private table for 2! Just wonderful all the way around!

Recently stayed at the Mooring for 3 nights. Had a wonderful time in CM and Mooring was a great spot to stay. Vince greeted us by name upon arrival and spent time with us reviewing the layout of the home. Very informative. Facility was very nice, clean and our fit all our needs. Breakfast each morning was fantastic with several options to choose from each morning. Highly recommend this B&B. 1/2 block from the beach with private parking for guests. Outside showers/foot wash was nice to rinse off before entering property. We loved it!

From the moment we arrived, until the moment we left, Terry was there for everyone. As with any town, parking is a premium, but he made sure those of us who didn't have on site parking, had a spot on the street right in front.. The room was comfortable, the breakfast amazing!

The Mooring is wonderful - Great clean rooms with a gourmet breakfast. Cost is reasonable and Vince and Leslie go out of their way to make your stay great.

The innkeepers, Leslie and Vince are friendly, accommodating, and they know how to take care of their guests. The breakfasts are delicious! Leslie is always coming up with something new. The rooms are beautiful and the location ideal. It's one block from the beach and a short walk to just about everything else. My favorite place to stay in Cape May!
