Great Stay

4.8 on August 04, 2017

Great B&B. Wonderful owners who were great hosts. Clean rooms. Amazing front porch that was so relaxing. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Jan and Mark made our stay so enjoyable. Great location in downtown Cape May. Would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area.

Jan makes a truly great breakfast, this was our 3rd year and another very enjoyable stay.

Economical B&B

3.4 on December 07, 2016

Stayed here for a weekend with my husband. Inn keepers were very nice and they did provide an excellent breakfast. The room we stayed in was the Buttercup room. It was very musty and there was no place to put any of my toiletries. I was not able to relax in my room the way I had anticipated. Location was great very close to beach and we walked every where.

Pleaant and cozy stay.

We had a pleasant stay in this cozy B&B. Close enough to shops and dining. Room was small but comfy.

Great every time!

Been staying at the Luther Ogden Inn for 14 years. Jan and Mark are wonderful hosts and Jan makes the best breakfast in Cape May, using herbs and veggies Mark grows. I could just live on the porch! Easy walk to the beach and shopping. Charming house. I wouldn't stay anywhere else!

Innkeeper Response
Having you stay at the Luther Ogden Inn is like having an old friend visit! You love our porch as much as we do. It's always a pleasure to see you and catch up.

Last Minute Decision

4.0 on August 22, 2016

We've been going to cape may for about 20 years and have stayed in different bnb's. The Luther Ogden was well situated just a few blocks from the sea and from the pedestrian mall. We knew when we booked it that our room was the smallest. So it was. But perfectly adequate for a short stay. Great cross ventilation and AC that we could control ourselves. Breakfasts were very tasty and our hosts, Jan and Mark very sociable and helpful. When I mistakenly left my keys in the drawer, they found them and mailed them back to me which was a great relief.

Very comfortable and relaxing stay.

Within walking distance to beach, eating and shoppimg.

You will not be disappointed!!

4.8 on July 20, 2016

The Luther Ogden Inn is in the heart of Cape May. It is situated near the beach, shops and plenty of fine dining and pub style restaurants. However, it is the breakfast that is served each morning on the rap-around porch that makes this inn very special. The owners are very delightful and have an extensive knowledge of Cape May. You will not be disappointed with their hospitality and friendliness.

Just what we needed!

We booked last minute, after we realized we had failed to make a reservation in town for the wedding we were to attend. Jan met us at the door, gave us the details and kindly directed us to a few spots in town. The room was small, but very comfortable, tidy and quiet. Lovely home and innkeepers! Oh, and the zucchini frittata was spectacular for breakfast. Really, I would pay to just have breakfast here again!

Innkeeper Response
My award winning Zucchini Frittata is one of my favorites, too. We grow our own zucchini, onions, tomatoes and fresh herbs for a tasty farm-to-table experience! We're glad you enjoyed your stay.

Christmas weekend in Cape May

3.6 on December 16, 2015

We had a great weekend. The innkeeper Jan was very hospitable and welcoming. The room was small but comfortable. Good there was a portable heater in the room as the house itself was very cool

Innkeeper Response
Christmas season is Cape May is magical. The Candlelight House Tours are beautiful, the Christmas Parade is small town America at its finest, and the trolley rides are geared to showcase all of the decorated homes. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. We do not have any portable heaters anywhere in the house. Each room has an electric fireplace with realistic looking flames with an optional heat producing switch.
