Welcome to the Hanna House Bed and Breakfast. Recently renovated and furnished in the finest antiques and oriental carpets, the Rudolph Ulrich House was built in 1896 and served as the home of one of New Berns more successful grocery suppliers. The house has undergone periods of use and revival, the most recent attending to its turn of the century details that distinguish older homes, and provide our guests with an opportunity to escape to a quiet environment that encourages relaxation. Located in New Bern's register of historic places and designated an historic home, we are steps away from all major attractions and the confluence of the Neuse and Trent rivers.

Couldn't have been better. Camille went the "extra mile" for our anniversary weekend. She's a great cook with outstanding "people skills" to make us welcome in her home. Highly recommend it to anyone and will definitely go back.

I would absolutely recommend staying here. Camille went above and beyond to provide a comfortable stay and a delicious breakfast. Camille and Joe seem to enjoy the lifestyle that is being the proprietors of a bed and breakfast. Thanks so much for everything!

My husband and I had a delightful stay at the Hanna House. Camille and Joe were warm and engaging hosts. The rooms were beautiful and the entire house was full of gorgeous antiques that Camille can tell you all about. The breakfast truly is gourmet. The rooms do not have televisions, so bring a good book. If you want, you can get your TV fix in the common family room. Camille provides information about the town if you need help deciding where to go. I can't wait to go back!

We're still fledgling bed and breakfast connoisseurs, but by far the Hanna House was an outstanding place to stay! So far, they are the ONLY B & B that actually gave us a very extensive breakfast menu to choose from (at least 10 or 15 options!), and every one we were able to choose from was delicious. Highly recommended and would look to stay again if visiting the area. A+++

We had a great 2 night stay with a wonderful breakfast on both mornings. The owners are very helpful and friendly. The bedroom was well furnished with period furniture, the bed was really comfortable and although the shower room was small it was more than adequate and well equipped. The home is very well positioned near to all of the things to see and do in New Bern.

My husband and I just spent a weekend in the Hanna House. The house itself is beautiful, with cozy, homey rooms. The owners were very welcoming, along with Katie the dog. The breakfast was outstanding!! Must try the stuffed french toast. The perfect weekend getaway.
The room has a king-sized art-deco-period sleigh bed done in mahogany with fruit wood inlays. The ceiling is covered in early art-deco style tin. On the walls are period Chippendale mirrors. An 18th. Century fall-front desk is to the right of the bed. The large fully tiled bath has a two-person heated bubbler tub and separate shower.
Dressed in the period of Civil War antiques, this room has a queen sized bed with federal style tin ceiling. The room overlooks the backyard gardens and rasied pond. On one wall is an 1864 lithograph of General U.S. Grant and his family. A private tiled bath with shower finishes your space.
