Heartwarming Experience

5 on May 28, 2017

The name says it all – Heart & Soul – and the experience was both relaxing and memorable. It was clear from the time we first arrived that our accommodating hosts, Chris and Pam, dedicated tremendous thought, research, and energy before opening this B&B to ensure no detail was overlooked. Their commitment to provide each guest with the ultimate experience was evident in every aspect of the business. The breakfast cuisine was amazing (truly 5 star) complemented by cordial and engaging conversation with our hosts and fellow guests both domestic and international. You certainly won't want to miss the candlelit evenings rocking on the porch with a cool drink in hand. Heart & Soul is conveniently located within walking distance of the charming and quaint downtown area of Mt. Airy where everyone greets you like a long lost friend. The “Patrol Car” tours are a must for any first-time visitors. Definitely looking forward to our next visit !!!

You'll want to come back again & again!!!

My wife & I got in to the habit of staying in bed & breakfasts years ago. They simply have more personality than hotels. We've stayed in many over the years. When we stumbled across Heart & Soul, little did we know how it would change our view of the B&B experience! Folks, it just doesn't get any better than this. Chris & Pam immediately make you feel welcome. It's not very long before you feel like you're staying in a friends home. The attention to detail they've shown in the creation of this fantastic home is just amazing. We've lodged here 3 times already and each time, we discover another beautiful detail overlooked on a prior visit. Then there's the breakfast... Your grandma didn't make a breakfast this good. No really ~ I'm serious! I can't say it's "5 Star" - 10 star is more appropriate! Book a couple of nights here, you won't be sorry!!!

Amazing stay in Mount Airy

5 on May 25, 2016

This is what the bed and breakfast experience is all about. We have stayed in B&Bs and small inns all over Europe, the UK, and the US, and we cannot recall innkeepers as caring, considerate, and accommodating as Pam and Chris. Almost as soon as we met them, we felt like old friends. They have rescued a dilapidated old home and transformed it into a beautiful B&B filled with perfect furniture and furnishings. Their location is unmatched for a visit to Mount Airy – less than a five-minute walk to downtown and a short drive to everything else the area has to offer. The rooms are beautiful, and the gourmet breakfasts they served us were nothing short of superb. Definitely a five-star experience. The bottom line – we will never stay anywhere else on future visits to Mount Airy, and we will tell all our family and friends visiting there the same thing.

Great Place to Get Snowed In

Wonderful house which truly does represent the heart and soul of the innkeepers. Great high ceilings and spacious rooms. Chris and Pam are great hosts and were very accommodating with dietary restrictions providing a wonderful breakfast each morning. When we were snowed in and most restaurants were closed, they also extended their hospitality to provide us with a delicious dinner. We look forward to our next visit in the near future.

About the innkeepers

Pam and Chris, your hosts of Heart & Soul Bed and Breakfast, lived in Virginia before moving to the coast of North Carolina. Owning a bed and breakfast was a dream of the innkeepers and became a reality in April 2015. Each room has been inspired by Chris and Pam’s journey in life. After their daughters moved out of the house, it was time to start a new endeavor. They decided to follow their dream and Heart & Soul Bed and Breakfast was born.
