The Cabins at Healing Springs

1096 E. Healing Springs Road , Crumpler, 28617 USA (Show map)

Tucked away at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains you will find a secluded glen of historic cabins surrounding a natural "healing" spring discovered in 1884. The natural spring is purported to have mystical healing abilities and reported to have cured everything from poison ivy to rheumatism, indigestion to ulcers. Explore the New River, West Jefferson, Lansing, Boone or Todd, or enjoy a quick drive to the Virginia border. Our peaceful location offers you easy access to all of what Ashe County has to offer! Our cozy cabins have been sympathetically restored. We are the perfect getaway for romantic weekends, or just a tranquil escape from the pressures of everyday life. So leave your worries behind, come to The Cabins at Healing Springs to renew, replenish and rejoice in the woods that surround you.

Absolutely Perfect!!

My better half and I have stayed here multiple times now. Service is absolutely amazing. You can tell the owner really loves what she has here. Couldn't have asked for a nicer person to interact with. Very helpful with suggestions for dining, coffee, etc. The cabins have been restored with love and attention to detail. The beds, oh the beds. Amazing! Best night sleep ever. Perfect place for a romantic getaway with the one you love. Peaceful, quiet, relaxing. Perfect. Just perfect! We've stayed in Owl and Brookside. Both are great, but Owl is definitely more cozy and romantic. Love the gas logs in the fireplace. Would recommend this place to anyone I know. Don't forget to check out the homemade soaps and lotions. They are awesome!!

A Very Nice B without the B

These cabins are lovely....a great place to spend more than one night....The only downside was that, having booked through Bed and, I assumed breakfast was INCLUDED. I didn't realize you had to pay extra for a breakfast basket...I understand these are a lovely addition to the room, but was not aware of the extra charge. Hostess was gracious ans assured us this was clear in the ad. I think it should be "clearer". I use B&B all the time, and this is the first time this has happened......I really recommend the cabins. They are lovely- a labor of love in refurbishing them, I am sure.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Yes, we are indeed very proud of the renovation work we have done on these historic cabins. We are "cabins" rather than a "room" in a B&B and yes, it is stated in our description and on our website. I am so very sorry that you misunderstood. We can provide a breakfast basket for you in your cabin and the closest restaurant is 2 miles away. We do hope that you come back and spend more time in our lovely area, and we look forward to seeing you again.

Our room was a studio connected to the owners' cabin. It was small but cozy and clean.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks for the kind words about our Acorn Cabin. We hope that you will return to see us again and try one of our other (larger) cabins!
