We had such a fabulous stay at The Old Buggy Inn this past weekend - the room was lovely, extremely neat, and Miss Pat was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met. We enjoyed not only her scrumptious food, but her delightful company. We stayed here for our 27th wedding anniversary and we have decided to make it a yearly tradition because it is such a wonderful place

This has to be the most charming and comfortable Bed & Breakfast EVER! Ms. Pat the inn keeper has done a fabulous job at keeping the home period appropriate. We stayed in the Garden Room and found it to be extremely comfortable and had all of the amenities of home. The bed was super comfy. Breakfast was AMAZING! Ms. Pat knows how to spoil her guests. Looking forward to making this an annual visit to the Old Buggy Inn.

My daughter and I had a fantastic time at this wonderful B&B. Pat was so helpful in sharing local things to do. Her information really made our trip complete. Breakfast was gourmet, the best I've had. We looked forward to eating in the dining room every day and couldn't wait to see what treats she had in store for us. We were never disappointed! At night there was always a plate of homemade cookies waiting for us to take upstairs, an unexpected but welcome treat. We will definitely be back hopefully every year. Thank you Pat for making our first trip to North Carolina so special.

Pat was the best and sweetest innkeeper we have come across. Her food was to die for! You get breakfast, evening snacks with wine and soda or water anytime. The house was amazing. She turned us on to a couple of unique restaurants close by also. Highly recommend b&b if you need some down time, great food and great innkeeper!

Our stay at The Old Buggy Inn was wonderful from the moment we arrived. The innkeeper was warm and inviting. The inn is beautiful and the food was incredible. This was our first experience at a B and B. We could not have chosen a better first time! Thank you for a wonderful stay

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at THE OLD BUGGY INN in Carthage, NC this past Mother's Day weekend 2013. The innkeeper, Ms. Pat, as our kids affectionately called her, is amazing! The house is beautifully restored, the gourmet food is excellent and the southern hospitality is 110%. We enjoyed the charming front porch where our hostess recites wonderful old stories about the inn and it's town. There are games, dvd's, videos, and a myriad of books for kids of all ages. The town celebrates a spring BUGGY FESTIVAL every year on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend, so this was a perfect time to visit. We are looking forward to another stay this summer and again during the Christmas holidays. We are in love!

My wife and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend. Pat was the perfect hostess and a gourmet cook to boot!!! She has a beautiful property and it's expertly decorated with antiques of all kinds. The beds are very comfortable. I highly recommend staying here.

The Inn was recommended to my sister by a friend who talked glowingly about her experiences there. Three of my sisters and I were delighted to find that the Inn lived up to all the praises her friend had heaped on it, and it is now our pleasure to "pay it forward." As a North Carolina transplant, Pat has quickly adapted to our Southern hospitality ways and went the extra mile to make sure that our preferences were taken into account in terms of food, local activities, and historical interests. She is a fascinating lady to talk with, full of stories regarding the house, the surrounding community and her past life experiences. The rooms were absolutely lovely, the food was excellent, and the special little touches (ours was homemade chocolate chip cookies at our return in the evening) made this an extra-special experience for our group. Additionally, Pat was able to accommodate all four of us in the same room so that we were able to reminise, laugh and talk to our heart's content just as we had done in our childhood. Carthage is a lovely town and it is obvious that she is quite proud of her home and community, and enjoys sharing both with her guests. Hotels provide a place to sleep for the night, but Pat provided oh so much more--not only a bed (and what a bed it was!) but an overall experience that we will continue to talk about amongst ourselves and to others for quite a while.

I had been looking for a romantic place to take my wife for her birthday and I found this wonderful B&B that my wife and I will continue to return to year after year. Pat is such a wonderful hostess and she was such a joy to be around. I couldn't have asked for a more relaxing atmosphere and a wonderful experience. My wife and I have traveled extensively and I would definitely put this in our top 10 most enjoyable places to have visited. Such history concerning the house and such love that has gone into the upkeep is seldom to have been seen. We look forward to many, many more visits.
