The Perfect B&B

5 on November 09, 2017

We stayed here once before--maybe three years ago. It was wonderful. We came back with friends recently. This is the perfect B&B. Four large, well appointed rooms with modern baths. Very nice common room with TV , numerous games for families and just a pleasant place to sit and visit. But breakfast! Totally unbelievable. This is a B&B, not a restaurant. Well you get a menu which asks you if you want eggs (anyway), an omelet with an incredible choice of ingredients, or the daily special (pancakes, french toast,etc.). And then, of course, your choice of juice, a fresh fruit platter, bacon, sausage, toast, muffins, scones, etc. I said this on another site. I have travelled all over the world. I have eaten at some of the best breakfast sites anywhere. I have NEVER had a better breakfast then I had here and this was a little B&B in Calabash, NC. Do not miss it and BrookGreen Gardens and Wilmington, NC are just a short drive away.

The Perfect B & B

My wife and I stayed here about four years ago and found it great. Well, it was even better this time. The rooms (they have four) are overlarge and are very well appointed. The bathrooms are spacious and modern. WIFI is provided. There is a very large common area with TV and huge number of games if you have a family with you. But it is the breakfast!!!! I have travelled all over the world and eaten at some of the best restaurants anywhere including restaurants that specialize in breakfasts and I have never had better breakfasts than here (we were here for two nights). First, there is a menu (remember, this is a B&B). Eggs anyway. Omelets with almost anything you could imagine. And then a third choice---pancakes (ours were pumpkin because we were there near Halloween) or french toast or ????. Of course, a variety of juices, a fresh fruit bowl, toast, bacon, sausage, hash browns, freshly baked scones, coffee cake, etc. In a small four room B&B this was the most amazing breakfast I have ever come across. It rates ten stars on a five star scale.

Nestled Nicely in Calabash

We stayed here over the weekend and were very impressed. The price of this place is fantastic and other B&Bs should follow the ROSE as far as pricing. Nancy and Warren are the best hosts. They really made us feel at home in there home. Everything meal wise that I asked for at breakfast was met with the most delicious food. The Blueberry pancake was to die for. The review speaks for itself and anyone who visits the Rose I am sure will come out feeling the same way as we did. Thank you so much Nancy and Warren! We will definitely be back.

Our weekend at the Rose Bed and Breakfast was so refreshing and peaceful. We enjoyed the quite country, the most comfortable bed ever and delicious breakfast cooked to order. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary and were surprised with hand dipped chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling grape juice. The inn keepers go above and beyond for our every comfort. We definitely plan on going back!
