Bed of Roses is a beautiful house and the room was wonderful. I only had 2 minor complaints during my stay. The window shades next to the bed did not completely block the view from the outside. I had use my cell phone holder to clip the sides of the curtains together to ensure privacy. My second complaint was that the first floor room is so close to the kitchen, and dining area, that I was woken up during the breakfast preparation. I would recommend this B&B to my friends and family and enjoyed my stay. The owners are very welcoming and cooked an incredible breakfast.
I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay in spite of the problems you mentioned. I was surprised to hear that you heard kitchen noise from your room and that is the first time in 8 years that we have received that complaint. We are often surprised that we can hear nothing from the room from the kitchen, but we will be more conscious now of early morning noise in our preparations! The patterned sheers that cover the window allow light in but I assure you, the window looks out only on our private owner's quarters and we can not see in at all. I'm happy that you are still able to recommend us. Thank you for your feedback.

Some of the best food I’ve had at a B and B. Owners were very accommodating for a late arrival. Bring your own pillow, theirs were super thin.

We had 2 wonderful days in Asheville. The Inkeepers are very friendly and helpfull to give us some advices about Asheville. Only the room was very small for 2 persons, smaller it seemed on the Pictures.

Bill and Emily were fantastic. We loved the traditionalism of the house and the inviting personalities of the hosts. They take great pride in their house and it shows when you walk around the house. We stayed in the "nest" for a few days and it was so cozy and perfect for the two of us. Bill and Emily gave us great advice about what to see and where to eat in Asheville, so definitely ask them for it! Overall we would recommend this B&B to all of our friends who are traveling in the Asheville area.

A Bed of Roses was one of the best B&B experiences I have ever had. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. The location was also easily walkable to downtown Asheville, while being in a quant and walkable neighborhood worth taking a stroll in. Highly recommend this spot.

We got married in November, our first stop after the wedding was A Bed of Roses. We were greeted with smiles (including some kitty ones!) and made to feel right at home. Our room was the 'Turret Suite' and was fantastic! I even used the sitting room to take pictures of my wedding dress on the Victoria sofa! The food was amazing each morning, you have to try the custom fruit juices! Thank you for making our honeymoon so special! We will be back! - Jasmine & Brendan, Charlotte, NC

This was the first bed and breakfast experience for my girlfriend and I, although we definitely rest on the young side of the B&B guest age spectrum, we still felt at home at A Bed of Roses. Bill and Emily are very friendly and helpful, with Bill always having a good conversation up his sleeve. The breakfast at this inn WILL BE the best breakfast you have ever had. The rooms were exceptionally clean and beautiful. The house is older than most and with age comes its charm. Its located five short blocks from the best of downtown Asheville. I highly recommend this B&B to any and all guests.
The Carolyn Gray Room is our only first floor guest room, privately tucked away from foot traffic. The highlight of this guest room is the large whirlpool tub for two showcased within a graceful arched alcove with an ornate antique mirror hanging above, reflecting the rich colors of the room. A beautifully carved German antique high panel queen size bed is covered in elegant burgundy and gold bedding that is complemented by the window treatments and the hunter green walls with white woodwork trim. Your private bath has a walk-in shower, fluffy Turkish Cotton Company towels and luxurious hunter green robes are provided. The glow of a Vermont Castings electric stove completes the scene as you get ready to relax and pamper yourself.
The Turret Suite is our largest and most luxurious guest suite. Located on the second floor, the suite spans the entire front of the inn. Tall windows line the bedroom, filling it with light. A stately antique, burled walnut queen size bed is clothed in richly patterned bedding and soft premium linens. The open turret above the bed is softly lit with lights on dimmers. The spacious room includes a private sitting room and balcony, a well as a private bath. The bath features a whirlpool for two combined with a rain shower. You will find ample fluffy towels and lush robes. Your sitting room is the perfect sanctuary for reading, watching television or cuddling by the fireplace. A guest refrigerator, coffee machine and wine glasses are provided as well. Your small private balcony with café table and two chairs overlooks the front rose gardens.
This spacious second floor guest room is lavishly furnished with French antiques including a beautifully carved walnut Louis XV queen sized bed and tall triple door mirrored Armoire, both reproduced in France during the late 19th century, about the same time that our Queen Anne Victorian was being constructed. Plush, jewell toned bedding and luxurious linens coordinate with the warm tones in the bedroom. A tiled gas fireplace with handsome white decorative mantle adds a handsome touch to the décor. In the bedroom a whirlpool for two lets you enjoy a warm relaxing soak with our specially formulated bath salts while gazing at the fire. Your spacious private bath has a walk-in shower, ample fluffy towels, cuddly robes and is also furnished with lovely antiques. For travelers needing an additional room for a friend or family member, an adjoining door can be opened with the Oliver Davis Room.
The Wilkinson Room is a romantic mid-sized room, furnished with a fairy-tale white cast iron queen size bed, surrounded by a soft canopy. An antique mirrored vanity and a graceful burgundy upholstered chair by the gas fireplace add to the charm. The tiled fireplace has a handsome white decorative mantle. Luxurious linens and a fluffy jewel toned comforter are set against deep green walls with a wide Turkish patterned wallpaper border. Your bath is a rich plumb color and includes an antique claw foot soaking tub and brass shower as well as luxurious hunter green robes to cuddle in.
