For the past ten years or more my husband and I have spent two wonderful weeks at Rye Creek each summer. We've vacationed at many top resorts in the West and Hawaii over the years, but Rye Creek is now the only place we want to spend our vacation (some would say we already live in vacation-land three miles from the ocean in Southern California). The scenery is spectacular, perfect for hiking or just relaxing on the front porch waiting for the deer to appear on the lawn every evening. The cabins are beautiful (Sapphire is "our" cabin) and definitely not "roughing it". But the real bonus for us is the family owners, Mike and Dave Nelson, and their parents who all reside at Rye Creek. They make you feel like you are guests at their home -- a perfect combination of respecting your privacy but there to help in any way you wish. While we just left, we are already looking forward to next summer at Rye Creek.

Was just what we expected/wanted. Remote but not too far of a drive to nice restaurant or bar. We saw elk and deer every day from our cabin, binoculars are recommended. The ATV tour we took was great, lots snow capped mtns. Mike and Dave couldn't of been nicer and was obvious that if there was anything they could do for you, they would. If we ever get back to Montana, Rye Creek is definitely where we would stay.

My husband and I stayed at the lodge on our anniversary. The only thing I can say is that, in the 15 years we have been together and all the other placed we have went this was by far the best!!! We will never waste our money going anywhere else!!! Thanks Mike and Dave! Kristi from Montana

Looking online for an alternative to a well known and very pricy lodge that had been suggested to us as a special place to stay, we stumbled on to Rye Creek Lodge. We spent two nights in this peaceful and secluded setting enjoying the deer and the osprey and the beautiful, open hills. The cabin was roomy and well kept with plenty of wood for the fireplace and a clean private hot tub. We felt rejuvenated in this serene setting and it is now one of our favorite travel memories. Thanks, Mike, for your friendly help and advise. The natural bug repellant that you recommended worked great up in the Tetons where the mosquitos were really bad.
