This was a cute little place to stay! Great customer service, bed was so comfortable, it was clean, close to all the shops and restaurants so you could walk everywhere, and right across the street from the beach! Only problem we had was finding parking close, but it worked out. I will be coming back!
The Innkeepers are all phenomenal, the chef, Ophelia, is wonderful, and the whole team makes you feel like you are a part of the family. The location is the best! just over .25 mile walk to the Aquarium, you are ON the water, walking paths, walk to restaurants, shops, etc.
My wife and I spent a long weekend at the Jabberwock and it was wonderful. Great location, wonderful rooms, super food and great staff. The daily happy hour with hot and cold appetizers and wine is a great opportunity to meet the other guest and interact with Rick and Suzanne. A must stay if you are close.
We've enjoyed our three-day stay very much. The location is just perfect in front of one of the nicest spots along the coast of Monterey Bay. Breakfast and afternoon hors d'œuvre are excellent with a good variety. Staff is always helpful and make you feel comfortable. Our room was tiny and a little bit (historically) "smelly", but cute. Sharing the bathroom worked out well. We enjoyed renting bikes (for free) for the 17-mile drive, such a scenic tour! Hope to return one day! Clear recommendation!
Delightful room. Especially the day bed on risers in balcony for full advantage of the view. A warm and inviting B & B. The afternoon hors d'ouerves nicely presented as was breakfast fresh fruit; though the quiche was too salty to eat. Higher quality sheets would be nicer, but bed was very comfortable. Bathrooms spotlessly clean with luxurious towels.
The "tea time" foods were wonderful. After hours of driving and sightseeing, we relaxed by the fire in the parlor with a glass of wine along with hot artichoke dip and crackers! Delightful!
Such a relaxing stay. Goes by House Inn is full of old world charm with modern amenities. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Great location with excellent restaurants nearby. Breakfast was delicious.
This was my second stay at The Coachmans Inn. I last stayed here on my last visit to Carmel in 2010. I was then accompanied by my wife who sadly I lost last year. The Inn is nicely situated close to the centre of Carmel. This is handy as there is no restaurant at the Inn. I was welcomed to the Inn by it's staff. The disappointing aspects were the quality of the breakfasts and the daily Wine & Hors d'oeuvres. I found the breakfasts mainly comprised fruit. There was some cereals but scrambled egg only occurred once during my 3 night stay. There was no bread but only Bagels. I did not find the food very interesting! I only attended one wine & hors d'oeuvres occasions. As I was travelling on my own, I found other guests ignored me. They were couples or 4s. The room allocated to me was lovely & spacious. The ensuite was clean and the shower was always hot. I also liked the wifi availability too.
Rick and Suzanne are wonderful innkeepers. The property is ideally located and is beautifully appointed. An added perk is the property has wine and hors d'oeuvers everyday. Breakfast is wonderful. Jackerwock is a must stay if you are in the Monterey/Carmel area.
We arrived late at the hotel and the manager had provided us with a way to get into our room with no problems. Our room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the in-room coffee was delicious. The breakfast the next morning was very nice and plentiful. We really like the Coachman Inn!
Overall a very nice Inn in a great location with very nice rooms and friendly staff! The happy hour was very nice with well above average wine and food and the homemade cookies at 11 a.m. each day were a treat. My only complaint is being awakened by the garbage service which is out of the Inn's control. Would definitely recommend coming here!
Very nice and cozy inn. The staff were very nice and friendly. The room was nice and very clean, but the mattress was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was good, they change the menu every day and there were lots of places to sit and relax to eat. Fresh cookies every night as well as wine and little appetizers were a nice touch also. My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay, just wish they would replace the mattresses and it would be great!
My wife and I love to stay at the Green Gables. It's warm and inviting, and so close to Lover's Point and the aquarium. We love to get on the Inn's bicycles and ride to the wharf. This is our "go to" place to relax and recharge.
I wanted to surprised my boyfriend on his birthday. We loved the view and the cozy bedroom with fireplace and Jacuzzi. The hotel was waiting for us with balloons and champagne. We walked at the beach, enjoyed riding bikes and had a vegetarian dinner at Julia's of course, we want to come back!
Centrally located in downtown Pacific Grove, the Gosby House Inn is close to many eateries and within walking distance to Lover's Point Park. The gourmet breakfasts and the afternoon wine & cheese are real treats. Being a few blocks away from the ocean also means quieter, with less traffic.
This was our 8th visit to Green Gables (from UK). Little changes, with gorgeous views, unique rooms and an old world air and calmness about the place. Perhaps a little upgrading in some areas would enhance the stay even more..
The location is great for nearness to various dining options and only 3 blocks or so from beach walks. The staff at the desk are always very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Gosby House is one of our favorite places to stay.
