Our family called on short notice to stay indoors after a long camping trip. The water was hot, the shower was clean, the kitchen was supplied with all utensils and cookware we needed. The bedding was freshly cleaned, the TV remote worked well, and we borrowed a DVD movie from our hosts video library. Cabin furnishings were comfy, like home. Decoration and design included beautiful trophy antlers, the log cabin walls were well chinked and we were warm and happy. Carma's breakfast was beautiful, coffee of very high quality, and they even had maps and postcards and geologic mementos for us rock hounds! As we left, we found our oil was low and John offered to help us. He was consistently a gentleman, gracious and helpful. If we lived there, we'd be happy to have them as neighbors!

On our 25th wedding anniversary, we have had several, my wife wanted someplace fun, and I wanted someplace with interesting history. what could be more exciting than the vigilantes and highway men in the ole west. John and Carma were perfect as well as the best historians, cooks, and hosts. Don't miss this spot, you will regret it.

We have been going there every summer for the past 4-5 years. We have such a great time. The log cabins are perfect, as well as the rooms in the big house. John and Carma are fabulous hosts grat cooks, and just plain wonderful.

My family (2 adults and 2 children) stayed here over a weekend in August, and it was just perfect. We took one of the cabins with a loft, which gave the kids a space apart from us, and away from other guests when they got too unruly! ;) It was a good size, and have all the amenities we needed. John and Carma were the perfect hosts, and the breakfasts were great. It was nice to chat with the other guests, which was encouraged as we all sat on the back porch and enjoyed each other's company. If we get the chance to be in the area again, we will definitely stay here again! Thanks John and Carma!

My husband and I stayed 2 nights. We really enjoyed the cabin and the relaxing atmosphere of the entire place. John and Carma were outstanding hosts. By the 2nd day we felt like we were part of the family. The food was fabulous and the company of all the guests was wonderful. We will be going back for sure. It was a great experience. Thanks John and Carma! Sincerely, Gary and Carol

The owners of this B&B are spectacular hosts. The cabins are remodeled, historic cabins. Highly recommended.

My wife and I, and her family, visited this charming Bed and Breakfast last week. We rented both cabins and also a room with a private bath in the Inn. To say the least, we had a great time. The hosts were very personable and knowledgeable. The rooms were spotless and I was sorry we only had one night to spend there. We only ate breakfast even though they do offer dinner if you want it. After eating dinner in Virginia city, I recommend having dinner at the Bed & Breakfast. Their food was great. The orange juice was fresh squeezed by John and delicious. I would recommend this bed and breakfast if you are travelling to Virginia City.

My husband and I spent 2 nights at Just An Experience and loved it! Carma and John are both treasures and their hospitality is unmatched. We relaxed & read in the comfy cabin, enjoyed 3 delicious meals which were graciously served and beautifully presented, explored Virginia City & Nevada City (both tranquil this time of year), took a nighttime soak in the hot tub, and did a lot of visiting with the hosts. Great fun. We plan to go back as soon as we can and bring others with us.

Ive been to Just An Experience over ten different times now. We used to go to the surrounding area to see all the history of Virginia and Nevada City and to enjoy the outdoors. Now we like to go just to visit John and Carma and get away from it all. Ive never met two more genuine people. They have taught us a lot about life. They are always willing to help and tell their awesome stories. They go out of their way to make sure everyone has the best time of their life. The food is amazing. You would think your at a 5 star restaurant. Everything is supremely clean and comfy. The scenery is great. Its very common to see local wildlife out on the lawn. In the fall you can even hear the elk bugle from the windows. Every time we come here its Just An Experience like their name says. There is no other way to put it. You do not want to miss coming here. It is the highlight of anyone's trips out to this area. Check it out and you wont be disappointed!

Spent 2 nights in a cabin with my daughter (who LOVED the loft) - and while we had total privacy, we were close enough to the 'main house' and hot tub to feel that we were in a special place. Quiet, clean, comfortable, and convenient - we enjoyed the ambience, the food, and the entire experience. John and Carma were gracious, and left us to our own devices but were very accessible.

Just An Experience offers clean, attractive, comfortable rooms, a delicious breakfast and if you choose, dinner as well. Hosts John & Carma are excellent advisers on what to see and do in Nevada City. Our time with them was the highlight of our trip.

We spent two wonderful days with John & Carma in one of their rustic cabins. Very cozy, well-furnished, comfortable beds & fully stocked kitchen. Carma provided delicious, hearty breakfasts. Warm hospitality and information on all the area sights (Virginia City, Nevada City, etc.) was offered.

My family loved "Just An Experience!" The owners, John and Carma, were delightful! They have lawn games, a hot tub, an ideal location in picturesque Nevada City, and car & bikes! We all had so much fun. The rooms are well decorated, homey, and so comfy. Breakfast was amazing! I recommend this place to everyone!

We stayed in one of the cabins. It just added to the old western town flavor. John & Carma made our stay even more special. We had such a nice time, we had an experience at Just an Experience B&B that we will remember for a long time.

Just returned from "Just an Experience" B & B. It was great. John and Carma were friendly, hospitable and so knowledgeable about the history of the area. They recommended excellent places to eat and see. The delicious breakfasts each morning were served in style and were just as good as the looked. Our room in the house comfortable as well as fun because of the vintage decor. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning and enjoying the view as well as that bottomless cup of coffee. So glad we selected this B & B and they had room for us.

Excellent accommodations, friendly & pleasant owners. Just wonderful! Oh & great breakfast -- homemade!
5 on July 13, 2012
The breakfasts were made from scratch...and Carma will share recipes! The location was perfect. Close to gem mining, historical sites, the train to Virginia City, and a wonderful walking trail along the creek. Out room was well furnished, with the most comfy bed! Carma is a self taught geologist...and will share her knowledge of the rich geological history of the area. Her apple butter is wonderful...

Carma and John were wonderful and very accomodating - Carma made a special breakfast for my newphew and it was delicious - he even tried things that he would never eat before. We loved the room - espcially my newphew - he was thrilled with the loft bedroom. We had a wonderful visit - Thanks again Carma and John!!

Since 2005, we've stayed here 4 times and can't think of a single complaint. Our family has grown to 7, so we need the large cabin. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Carma and John are amazing. They work their tails off, but are always very pleasant. They demonstrate true hospitality. The food is great - be sure to arrange to have them serve dinner. The hot tub is always clean and the right temperature. They're great with kids, too!

Seven of us traveled to stay with John and Carma at their great B&B in Nevada City, MT. We stayed in charming, clean cabins in comfort, and were served a FABULOUS meal prepared by the hosts following the Brewery Follies in Virginia City. After a hot-tub and peaceful sleep, we got up to another great meal, then crossed the street to pan for gold and garnets-what fun! I don't think I have ever met nicer, more knowlegable hosts in 45 years of travel and know we will book soon for next year. I will recommend this place without reservation to all our friends. kristen wood

We are 'regulars' to Just an Experience. Even though we have been bringing our children, now teens, John and Carma are gracious to us and to our kids. They make even our grumpy teens feel welcome. We have stayed with them for the past 12 years and we have never been disappointed- except when we booked too late and they were already full! Thanks John and Carma!

John and Carma have a cozy B&B with a homey atmosphere. We enjoyed their cabin and just sitting on the porch enjoying the stars in the evening. It was exactly what we were hoping it would be...quiet and relaxing. Carma's breakfasts were healthy and delicious every day. We both enjoyed the experience and can highly recommend this B&B.

The weekend we spent at Just an Experience was just plain outstanding. John and Carma are over the top as hosts. They were friendly, gracious, and knowlegdable tour guides. We were treated as royalty in every way. This was our first trip to Just and Experience but we will be back in the future. I spend between 75 and 100 nights a year in hotels, motels, and inns, and Just an Experience is at the apex of any where I stay and at a most resonable price. If you go, and I strongly reccomend you do, I urge you to let Carma and John cook dinner for you one evening, far superior to most restaurants. You might think about bringing a bottle of champagne along to enjoy in their outdoor spa. In closing let me say that Just an Experiece is about as good as it gets.

This was the best Bed and Breakfast experience I have had. The hosts were great, friendly people, the breakfasts were also wonderful and they catered to my allergy. The surroundings are beautiful, and our cabin was cozy, charming and very comfortable and spotlessly clean.I can't wait to return next year and finish seeing the sites. I highly recommended staying at Just An Experience!

We stayed two nights in one of the cabins at this great B&B. A rustic, western theme appropriate for Virginia/Nevada Cities. You are met by two of the nicest hosts you will ever meet at a B&B. Our cabin had all the necessities for a long stay and was very clean. You will not find a B&B with better breakfasts and the hosts will prepare dinners upon requests--the best place to eat dinner in the valley--excellent fresh food at reasonable prices. Hosts have lived in the area for several years and provide info on history of the area, what to see/do, and make you feel part of a 'traveling' family. Many return to this B&B every summer--there is plenty to see/do for people of all ages in this four season destination. When we return to this beautiful part of Montana a stay at this B&B will be a must.

Absolutely everything, the hosts, the food, the cabin, the area, was better than expected. Their web information does not even come close to descibing this "nugget of gold". You will love it. Our family cannot wait to go back.

We had a wonderful time. This is a kid friendly place to stay. The kids loved the loft. The food is excellent. This is on our list of places to come back to. It's about an 1 1/2 hour drive to Yellowstone. Thanks for everything.

John & Carma are the best host you could ask for. They are very knowledgable and can recommend a place for anything you want to do. We had a mini family reunion and it was the perfect place for all. Nevada City is a great little Ghost Town and Virginia City as well. We will definitely be back.

What a great place to stay! John and Carma were the best; we couldn't have asked for anything better. On the side note though, the only thing that didn't work was the DVD player in the cabins. Not that this was extremely important, but my two year wanted to watch her DVD's during the night; she was slightly disappointment that she couldn't unwind a bit before going to bed. Other than that, I would recommend this B&B to anyone headed to the Virginia City area. The breakfast in the morning was delicious! Thank you John and Carma and we hope to see you again in the near future.

There is so much to do in the area and at the B & B. Even flew a kite which I hadn't done in 40+ years, here. Food was super as was the bed & very quiet.

This was very rustic, which is what Virginia City, Montana is all about. You get a taste of what it was like 150 years ago. Cabin was clean, with everything needed. It was the nicest accomodations in the area. The dinner steak was the best my husband has had.
