This was our third stay at Park Avenue Mansion in Lafayette Square. The home is quite lovely and very well kept. Breakfast is always a delight especially when the weather allows for outdoor seating. The gardens are lovely as well. The area of Lafayette SQ is convenient to downtown St. Louis and has many restaurants nearby within walking distance. We highly recommend this B&B.

The hosts were so gracious. We had a hard time finding a place to hang out with some out of town family because it was a Sunday night. We were able to bring them into the parlor to visit, and were made to feel very welcome. Our first time here was over the Christmas holidays. The weather was not optimal for the garden, so I can't wait to come back in the spring or summer because the patio area looked like a fantastic space.

This was our second time at the Park Ave Mansion and it was perfect just like the first! Kathy and Mike are very welcoming, and they make your stay feel just like you were in your own home! We are going to make this an annual trip! If your looking for a little weekend getaway or just need a place to stay one night, this is the place! The breakfast was amazing, and the rooms are so cozy.

Our room (Park Avenue Suite) was gorgeous and very comfy. Breakfast was delicious and never the same thing twice. We enjoyed a romantic dinner for two and the ambience was wonderful. We are already planning another stay!!

My husband and I stopped here on our way through St. Louis. The bed and breakfast is right across the street from Lafayette Park which is gorgeous. We loved seeing the neighborhood and breakfast was fantastic. We only wish we could have stayed longer

Our stay was wonderful. The innkeepers are great hosts and provided the atmosphere for a comfortable and pleasant stay. We would recommend this B&B to anyone. We hope to return.

Park Avenue Mansion Bed & Breakfast is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. In the heart of St. Louis but you don't feel as thought you are in the a big city. Great neighborhood with lots to do. Mike and Kathy are wonderful! Outstanding breakfasts!

Park Avenue Mansions was an amazing place for our Honeymoon. The location was lovely and was fairly centralized to other attractions. The food was amazing, I have never had such good breakfasts in my life. We will definitely be returning for a future anniversary.

We had a wonderful time with Kathy and Mike at the Park Avenue Mansion B&B. They immediately made us feel like we were walking into our own home. Their hospitality was second to none; Mike had the most interesting stories about the B&B and area; he had great recommendations for near by food and fun; and the business owners we talked to in the area about the Park Avenue treated us like their guests as well...it was like "we're staying with Mike and Kathy" was the secret pass word!! ...and Kathy serves the most delicious breakfasts you can imagine. You will enjoy your stay at this beautiful home and with this wonderful couple!

My husband and I have stayed at this B&B on multiple occasions. We are typically in St. Louis to attend baseball games, relax and enjoy some of the sights of the city. This is the perfect location for us. Mike and Kathy could not be more warm and welcoming. We always feel at home from the moment we arrive. Their home is beautiful and impeccably maintained, but never feels stuffy or pretentious. The breakfasts were delicious! Oh...and not to forget their wonderful dogs! The neighborhood, Lafayette Square, is full of history and character. There are several restaurants within walking distance and our car is easily accessible if we choose to drive elsewhere. If you are looking for wild nightlife or crowds, this is not the place for you. Additionally, this is not the place for children or families. This is a quiet, romantic and lovely home and each time we leave, we cannot wait to visit Park Avenue Mansion again.

The hospitality we received from Kathy and Mike was beyond comparison. Our comfort and enjoyment was their number one concern. The food was fabulous and I loved having a Keurig machine available on each floor for that early morning coffee while relaxing before breakfast in the spectacular garden. Stepping into the garden was like entering a nature preserve … fountains, birds, and lovely soft music streaming through the air. Kathy and Mike were available to accommodate us and answer any questions throughout our stay. The location of this B&B is in an idyllic neighborhood full of mansions restored from the 1800's. It's across the street from Lafayette Park, whose park bridge extends the experience of nature as it feels like stepping into a Monet painting. Neighborhood restaurants and Bailey's Chocolate Bar are all within walking distance. We stayed in the Lafayette room which was beautiful, quiet and clean. Wifi worked great in the room. One of the windows in the room has a view of the top of the arch. What I like best about Park Avenue Mansion was the warmth of our hosts, Kathy and Mike. The beauty of the B&B and the fabulous food were icing on the cake. What I liked least was not knowing how soon I will be back to this retreat to once again enjoy this slice of heaven. A lovely spot, a wonderful old mansion, generous and kind hosts, good food, and located within walking distance of quality restaurants and a lovely park. We liked it so much we never left the local area to see St. Louis. Our room with a balcony overlooking the garden was so lovely, it felt like being in Paris. A bottle of wine while the sun set, and latte with local pastries in the morning before the heat of the day. Mike and Kathy were friendly and courteous hosts without being intrusive in any way, and served a delicious breakfast for us in the gardens along with the 6 other guests with a grace and ease that we all us guests got to know each other in the nicest way. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area - so much nicer than any hotel could possibly be, close to town, a lovely spot, and we left feeling very refreshed. Thank you Mike and Kathy!

We had a wonderful two night stay in the Lafayette room on the third floor of the B&B. The room was spacious and comfortable. The home and grounds are beautiful. We enjoyed drinking a glass of wine (bring your own) while sitting on the back patio in the lovely back yard one evening. We also enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and the park across the street. The hosts, Mike & Kathy were great! They were very knowledgeable about local restaurants and places to see while in St. Louis. We plan to stay with them again the next time we visit St. Louis.

We were looking for something out of the ordinary for our weekend stay in St. Louis and found a gem in the Park Avenue Mansion Bed & Breakfast! Mike and Kathy went out of their way to give us what we needed - directions, suggestions for dinner, history of the area around Lafayette Park, after dinner liquors, to-die for breakfasts and privacy too! The house is beautiful with stunning woodwork and marble throughout. The garden area features colorful and unique flowers and trees, a koi pond, a gazebo and the sounds of a relaxing babbling brook no matter where we sat. Our large 3rd floor room stayed nice and cool the entire weekend even though it was very hot and humid outside. The area has a lot to offer as well - unique shops, restaurants and pubs featuring locally grown/brewed/infused items. Lafayette Park is right across the street and is perfect for a morning walk. We highly recommend Park Avenue Mansion Bed and Breakfast We'll be back!

We did the murder mystery weekend and had the best time! The owners made us feel right at home. After our weekend, I felt like we were leaving a visit with old friends. The inn, food and area was perfect. Cannot wait to return.

We rescently spent a couple days at the Park Avenue Mansion. We were greeted by our canine Innkeeper, Daisy. What a treat! You will enjoy this lovely accomodations at this B&B. The Innkeepers are wonderful at making you feel so welcome, and breakfast is a culinary delight. It's location across from Lafayette Park offers many outstanding restaurants and shops part of the Victorian neighorhood. Give it a try. You will enjoy the experience.

The most beautiful B&B I have ever stayed in along with the most charming, friendly, helpful hosts. I definitely plan to visit again.

We LOVE to visit St. Louis and staying at the Park Avenue Mansion B&B is ALWAYS 1st on our to do list! Michael and Kathy are great hosts and go above and beyond for all their guests. The location, comfort, ambience, service, food, EVERYTHING is top notch! You'd be hard pressed to find ANY place (hotel or restaurant) that can beat Kathy's breakfasts! The courtyard, with its beautiful trees, flowers, fountains and arbors is fantastic... and just wait 'til you meet Daisy (you'll want to take her home with you)! The B&B is in walking distance of several great restaurants, shops and right across the street from a beautiful historic park surrounded by architecture that dates back to the 1800's. If you're looking for a wonderful EXPERIENCE to enhance your stay while you enjoy an amazing city, you love great food, great people and like to treat yourself to something special, do yourself and those traveling with you a favor and stay at the Park Avenue Mansion B&B! Enjoy! Patrons for 9 years running... - Laura and Tony

We have stayed at the Park Avenue several times while getting our first child settled at St. Louis University. It's been a wonderful experience and great, relaxing get-away. The location is perfect and the Lafayette Park area is quaint and has everything you need. We will definitely return!

As a former innkeeper who has stayed at many B&Bs throughout the country, the Park Avenue Mansion deserves 5 Stars and more! Elegant yet comfortable, wonderful breakfast, beautiful gardens and gracious, friendly hosts. All set in one of the most charming neighborhoods called Lafayette Square, near everything to do and see in St. Louis. Great restaurants one block away. And clean! Did I mention clean? Spotless! And I am picky about that. Mike and Kathy, along with their newest member of the household, Daisy, have waved their magic wands and created a place and time that one will not soon forget.

The home is beautiful, the hosts gracious and welcoming, the neighborhood stunning, and the breakfast delicious! The gardens and the entire area are a feast for the eyes. Their golden doodle Daisy was so adorable, we fell in love with her! Highly recommend this B & B if you are in the Lafayette Square area of St. Louis.

I am so glad we went with a bed and breakfast. This one was STUNNING. The gardens alone are reason enough to stay here. The breakfast was fancy, my fiance and I are picky eaters, and I don't know what was in the crepe served, but it rocked my world. The bed was huge, the bathtub was a freaking boat. The owners weren't weird which is a plus. I wish I had a picture of the view from our room. It overlooked the gardens. I can't wait to go back.

The Innkeepers are as fabulous as the B&B!! They were warm and welcoming and even served a gourmet breakfast to my college son (his delight) who was not staying with me . We had much in common and talked healing touch and healing oils as well. The Inn/B&B was beautifully appointed in every detail and a lovely garden too. It was a slice of heaven on earth for me and I hope to return soon! YES, highly recommend and close to the Brewery Tour and Botanical Gardens.

A friend and I, seeking something new to break up winter boredom, treated ourselves to one night in March at the Park Avenue Mansion in the Park Avenue room. Elegant antique bed, refrigerated champagne, Keurig coffeemaker right outside our door in the hallway, 2-person bathtub with Jacuzzi, view of snowy Lafayette Park across the street, all enhanced by a nice welcome from Mike. Several restaurants and coffee shops are a block away should you want dinner. Blueberry pancakes for breakfast We spent a lovely quiet evening and were well rested. Expensive for us but I recommend it for anyone. I enjoyed pretending it was my own house.

Kathy and Mike have beautifully restored a magnificent old Lafayette Square mansion and created the perfect B&B experience for their guests. The rooms are superbly appointed and the gourmet breakfasts are to-die-for. I think what I will remember most about my 5-day stay at the Park Avenue Mansion is the charm and warmth of the hosts (and their several pets). I have made new friends. There are several good restaurants and at least one delightful bar/cafe within a few blocks of the PAM.

Margie and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Michael and Kathy. They were attentive without disturbing. The building, grounds, and food were all outstanding. We will stay again as soon as we can and try to bring friends.

It is without reservation and with the utmost enthusiasm that my husband and I would recommend Park Avenue Mansion for a truly delightful stay in St. Louis. Just 5 minutes from any of the major sites to visit such and nestled in the beautiful, friendly, and walkable historic Lafayette Park, this B&B provides all of the comforts and amenities you could want for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The mansion has a very personal and welcoming feel. The mansion has a beautiful interior, fabulous and tranquil garden, library full of books, and movies and games to enjoy before bed! Kathy and Mike were friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Mike was always happy to provide recommendations for attractions and we enjoyed talking with him while he prepared a beautiful garden breakfast setting (voted on by those staying at the B&B) and while we enjoyed freshly brewed coffee. Kathy prepared delicious creations such as a homemade lemon curd and fruit topped fluffy pancake with a delicate quiche and a puff pastry filled with ham, fresh kale, a perfectly cooked egg, and a vidalia onion sauce. I was very impressed at the creative and very appealing dishes that Kathy prepared for a guest with an extremely limited diet caused by food allergies. We enjoyed visiting many of the must-do attractions in St. Louis on our trip but many of our favorite experiences were at the Park Avenue Mansion and in Lafayette Park. In fact, if I would have known ahead of time how much we were going to enjoy the area, we would have stayed a third night. We can’t recommend Park Avenue Mansion and Lafayette Park enough! We’re returning soon!

Wow, what a weekend. Kathy and Michael made our stay absolutely wondrous. The food was fantastic. Located within easy reach of all that we wanted to see. Quiet, Comfort, Luxery, all rolled into one. We will definitely go back. This is one of the best we have ever stayed at. Definitely worth the price.

We stayed in the Park Avenue Mansion in St. Louis on Sept. 3 and 4, 2011. It was a perfect location, just a 20-minute walk from Busch Stadium and the Arch. Also, there is a park across the street that is fabulous for a little exercise. This inn has a gorgeous, paved garden that would be perfect for a wedding or reception. It's also perfect for dining or just visiting on a beautiful summer evening. We've stayed in several B&Bs across the nation. This one was the best by far. Loved our room. Enjoyed our hosts, who were very helpful. And, again, location, location, location.

Kathy and Mike made us feel very much at home and were very helpful! They know the neighborhood and the St. Louis area very well - from what is available to the history and personality of attractions and neighborhoods. Breakfast was delicious, accommodations were very comfortable - combining the atmosphere of the elegant older home with modern conveniences. We loved meeting Garbo, their aging rescue dog. She was friendly but not bothersome - and obviously enjoyed the company of the B & B guests. Definitely added a friendly, homey touch. There were welcoming fireplaces, and comfortable locations for reading and conversation. the garden area, even in March, was beautiful. The neighborhood has restaurants and other attractions. The park across the street afforded a relaxing place for walks - and enough room for a good exercising walk.

We Went to St Louis for a concert at the scottrade center we wanted to stay close to Scotttrade center this was very close. Lots of neat places to eat and drink just a stroll away. A wonderful Balcony Room overlooking a huge deck and garden. Great food and nice conversations with hosts. Loved our stay and want to come back for a leisurely Sunday brunch on the deck. Excellent restaurants nearby and a nice park for a morning stroll. Our place to stay in St. Louis. Lee, Norman, OK

Located within easy walking distance of Union Station, where I attended a conference, the house is in a charming neighborhood of Second-Empire-style row houses. The lot next door has been turned into a beautiful garden and sitting area, and the rooms themselves are even more beautiful than the pictures indicate. The innkeeper is very friendly and accomodating, and the breakfasts are delicious and creative. Couldn't ask for more, this is the nicest one I have stayed in.

The owners are some of the friendliest that we have met! They helped with anything and everything to help make visiting St. Louis perfect. The common areas and rooms were beautiful with wonderful antiques. The breakfast and afternoon snacks were delicious and their gardens are amazingly beautiful. The neighborhood is perfect...close enough to downtown, yet being across from the park made it so much more relaxing. Highly recommended!!!
