Historic Charm

There aren't enough stars to rate this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Everything they do here, they do right. Absolutely lovely! Barb is an excellent host! The house is 100 years old. Beautiful inside and out. All the modern amenities you expect from a luxury hotel with the comfort and coziness of staying with family! Breakfast pastries were amazing and the country breakfast was excellent. They really made us feel at home. Can't wait to go back. Thank you!

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for the excellent review. We enjoyed having you. This land the house was built on was settled by my relatives since 1896. We love passing on our passion for history and hospitality. Glad you liked our Amish pastries and breakfast too.

Beautiful, Peaceful and Relaxing

5 on October 30, 2017

We arrived early and Mrs. B was ready for us. We were showed around and let be so that we could relax together. The grounds were very pretty on our sunset and before breakfast walks. Mrs. B set up for 2 massage therapists to come on site for a couples massage. Breakfast was served at the time we desired and it was wonderful! Mrs. B added juice for us to toast with since it was our 10th anniversary and our hashbrowns were cut in heart shapes! We had a wonderful and memorable stay at Victorian Country Inn and would most definitely stay again!

Very easy to get to and so clean and comfortable . Food was amazing and they were very accomodating to our late arrival and early departure . The owners are great conversationalists and really enjoyed our similarities and breakfast conversation.

Great place to get away.

Drove by it the first time, but when we did find it, we were definitely pleased. A very country setting with no neighbors in sight. For dinner we had a great "all you can eat" catfish dinner with all the fixings for less than $11.00. Great change from city noise, bustle and prices.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you for the excellent getaway review. It is great to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city traffic and noise and find solice in the country. Our local cafe is indeed our guest and our favorite eatery.Very reasonable prices. Looking forward to your next getaway at Victorian Country Inn, B&B Hallsville, MO.

AMAZING BED AND BREAKFAST

5 on September 09, 2017

My wife and I stayed in the mystery-themed room and it was just...amazing. We enjoyed every aspect of the Victorian Country Inn. The pond with numerous fish, the beautiful pathways which were cut to allow leisurely walks, the amazing interior (to include the stories behind almost every picture and piece of furniture, the rooms, the delicious food and the nicest hosts you could ever ask for. We give the Victorian Country Inn 5 out of 5 stars in every category and would absolutely suggest this Bed and Breakfast to anyone looking for a great experience. We will be returning for years to come!

Kudos

I am from Iowa and drove to the Victorian Country Inn for a place to stay prior to a cycling competition the next day in Centralia.  I needed some easy conversation, a comfortable bed, quiet and a good breakfast.  Loved the place, top notch.  Barb was great and made my stay exceptional.  If in the area I highly recommend this B&B.  I plan on booking the same location for next years race.

Innkeeper Response
Thanks so much for the kind review. I am so proud of your dedication to cycling. It was a pleasure having you for a guest. Look forward to seeing you again. Safe Cycling and Travels. Barbara
