We took an extended weekend and stayed at Dauphine on Monday before Veteran's Day in early November. We had a wonderful day of hiking and arrived at Dauphine ready to relax. Scott and Sandra welcomed us, offered cold drinks (the temp that day was lower 80's) and made sure we were comfortable. Scott showed us around (including introduction to the chickens who laid the eggs for our breakfast), gave us a tip about the hike up to the top of the bluff overlooking the Missouri River and recommended a great restaurant for dinner, The breakfast was tasty, the conversation stimulating, the finches at the feeders outside the dining room window were entertaining and the bedroom delightful. But probably our favorite time was sitting on the porch swing into the evening, watching the river go by. BTW, you can only see the river when the leaves are off the trees. Thanks! We'll be back! Linda

Vacation scheduling allowed me to stay at the Dauphine for an extended weekend, and I couldn't have made more felt at home. Scott and Sandra were first-rate hosts, making me feel welcome and appreciated. The Inn provided me with a perfect launching point for traveling around the area, and the surrounding community was charming. I certainly will make my way back to the Dauphine.

The Dauphine Hotel is the best place to stay if you live in Missouri & want a weekend getaway. I think it is Jefferson City's best kept secret as Bonnots Mill is very close & the town is like a time capsule. It was a beautiful little town & the Hotel & hosts were the best! My family & I are planning another stay there this fall!

This vintage hotel has been preserved and upgraded to ensure a comfortable visit, but with authentic historic charm. Great breakfast cooked to order. Wonderful hosts.

Sandy & Scott were wonderful hosts. The room was lovely, and breakfast was delicious, with fruit fresh from their garden and eggs and bacon also very fresh. We felt like part of the family by the end of our stay. Incidentally we got engaged while there!

Our hosts were extremely accommodating since we arrived late. Our room was amazing and the homemade breakfast was delicious. Definitely returning.

The B&B was very nice -- but I didn't like being able to eat in the room -- when called, lady said we could be served breakfast in our room. I also think they should have ice available for customers -- especially in the summer months.

I stopped at the Dauphine on the way to the 2012 BMW Motorcycle National Rally in Sedalia MO. The setting could not of been better after a near 500 mile day of riding from Cincinnati. Sandra and her husband showed great hospitality and their pride in the property and the work they have put in the renovation clearly showed through. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The parlors where a great places to read and relax. The town of Bonnots Mill offers a great place for a morning walk. The made-to- order breakfast was delicious. On street parking for our motorcycles was a plus. A very comfortable stay! Thanks Sandra, hope to see you on a return visit.

We have stayed at the Dauphine over five times in the last three years. Started out with a small group of biker friends and family members & now we use all 7 rooms! We love having the place to ourselves. Sandra & Scott are amazing hosts, always making us feel welcome. Johnny Mac's around the corner has great food & great service. We love coming to Bonnot's Mill twice a year now. Love getting away from it all, just hanging out on the porch with a cold drink in hand. Exactly what everyone needs!!! Thanks again Sandra & Scott. See you in October.

A fantastic inn in a smalle, quiet town. Scott and Sandra are excellent hosts and prepare a wicked, American style breakfast. Ear plugs are also provided for those guests who aren't used to sleeping so close to a very active railroad.

We stayed at the Dauphine during our Spring trip across the country. It was an absolutely wonderful stay in this historic inn. The innkeepers, Sandra and Scott, are a friendly and relaxed couple, which made our stay even more enjoyable. They also are very knowledgeable when it comes to the area and can provide ideas for interesting side trips. My husband and I take a lot of road trips, and their beds were the most comfortable we've slept in. You can't go wrong staying at this B&B.

We enjoyed our stay very much at the Dauphine Hotel. We loved the history of the place and found the weekend very relaxing. It is a great place to get away from it all!

We have stayed in B&B's and Inn's across the country since the early 70's. My husband and I both agree, this quiet unique inn is one we will visit again.

I had a great time staying in this historical landmark over my Spring Vacation. We basically had the whole place to ourselves with beautiful views. The inn would be the perfect vacation stop for history buffs to those who are just looking for some peace and quiet.

Dauphine Hotel in Bonnots Mill is an authentic old hotel that goes back to the days of river and train travel across the Midwest. Several of the beds are original to the hotel, as are some of the antiques. It is a great old hotel that will take you back to another time. Owners Sandra & Scott Holder are fascinated by history and will be happy to tell you a story or two about how it was in previous centuries for the French immigrants that settled the town. They are a delightful, helpful, and friendly couple that will share their their hospitality with you from the moment you step through the door. There is no fending for yourself, as is the case with some B&B inns. They are ready and willing to offer suggestions on local festivals and activities, dinner options in the area, or whatever you need. There are no TVs but reading materials are plentiful, and they now have Wi-Fi throughout the hotel for your internet browsing. Breakfast here consists of a heaping serving of country breakfast fixings, cooked to your specifications. They are very laid back on breakfast times and you can just come down when you're ready, place your order, and in no time have a great home-cooked breakfast with all the trimmings. If you let them know in advance, they can also accomodate special dietary needs. It's really great place to stay if you are traveling through central Missouri and looking for something off the beaten path. I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel.
