Before staying here, I was a B&B skeptic, always fearing they'd be fussy. Not this place. I've stayed here 3 times, and will stay here again. The location is ideal (right on Pincushion Mt. x-country ski/hiking trails, minutes to town, and on the Gunflint trail). The breakfasts are fabulous, filling and healthy (ask for the kolachy and eggs benedict). The hosts helpful, but not hovering. The setting is secluded enough to guarantee good wildlife watching. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Truly, a home away from home.

We stayed here for two nights to visit the Grand Marais area and some skiing. It was great to see the big lake from above while having the secluded feeling of the woods. We enjoyed some lively conversation with our hosts and the delicisious breakfasts. We would stay here again.

Far enough from Grand Marais for lots of tranquility and beautiful views, but close enough to make a quick trip to town. The hospitality is warm and genuine, and the breakfasts are delicious. Cross country ski trails are right out the back door! I've stayed here a few times, and will return.
