A rustic white cedar log cabin located conveniently off of Hwy 55 at the head of Grant's Trail. The lodge is delightfully landscaped with trees, flowers and pond. The patio garden is perfect for any outside function. This is truly a one-of-a-kind facility. We offer a bountiful breakfast experience every week-day morning starting at 7:30 a.m., and Saturday-Sunday at 8:30 a.m., consisting of fresh fruit, entree, breakfast meats, yogurt, muffins, and breads. Coffee, decaffeinated coffee, and juice are placed out daily at 7:30 a.m. for you to enjoy before and during breakfast. Saturday and Sunday, experience a cook to order breakfast from a local chef who uses the freshest ingredients to serve the most wonderful omelets, biscuits and gravy, and bacon or sausage.

Took a two night getaway to The Lodge at Grant’s Trail. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon. We had been informed that no one else would be there. The manager had emailed check in information and once we opened the door the lodge was ours. The cleanliness of the facility was most impressive. No where we looked was dirty or dingy. We enjoyed the taxidermy and the fireplaces. There are fireplaces everywhere! The antler chandelier is amazing! The upper level dedicated to Presidents was very interesting. As a native of Springfield, Illinois, the nod to Lincoln is first class. Our room was waiting with the fireplace on. We stayed in the “Alaska Room”. Love the balcony. Yes, the decor could be considered “dated” but that was fine with us. We are a simple couple who doesn’t require high-end decor or ambiance. We explored all the rooms and they were all so unique and the attention to detail was great. Our breakfast was served two days in a row and it was good. Eggs, bacon, sausage, mixed breads and juice and coffee. The Lodge is so close to all St Louis sites and attractions and there are some great nearby places for food and drink. Will we return to The Lodge? Maybe. This was our first experience with a B&B. Overall, I’m glad we went. Rob and Heather Lind Spaulding, IL

Beautiful lodge, decorating is wonderful. Rooms are all uniquely decorated and themed. Excellent food and service. Very cozy and romantic. Hand crafted log bed was amazing. My only complaint is that while the bed was one of a kind and beautiful it was also very noisy with any movement which made romantic activity renter challenging while trying to be respectful of other guests. Maybe reinforcing underneath with some slats and feet would help or putting the mattress on a regular frame inside the heavy log frame. But other than that everything was wonderful!

Though the Mississippi Room was on the smallish size it was sufficient. The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. The lodge is quite nice. The common areas and the outdoor space are both inviting. Our breakfast turned out to be perfect for our restrictive low carb, low sugar diet.

We come every year to enjoy the peace and wonderful rooms. The Lincoln Suite was just perfect this time- we have tried several of the rooms over the years. From the wine and cheese to the jacuzzi tub with fire- Romance is always in the air at the Lodge at Grant's Trail.
I want to Thank You for choosing The Lodge at Grant's Trail! We really appreciate your kind words! The Mary Lincoln Suite is my favorite of our suites. We are so glad you stayed with us and appreciate your continued patronage. Happy Anniversary!

I was looking for something different to surprise my husband for his 50th birthday. The Washington Suite was perfect! It was spacious and relaxing and private. The manager was quick to respond to my on line booking question about suggestions to make it special and was very accommodating. The breakfast pizza was unique and tasty. We enjoyed a walk along Grant's Trail, but needed more time to explore the lodge itself. We will keep it in mind for future visits.

I cannot begin to describe the excellent accommodations, management, and food we had during our 3 night stay at the lodge. Upon walking in we were greeted by the manager Matthew. The suite was just perfect! A very comfortable king sized bed with soft sheets, the air conditioner was on and a nice cool temp to walk into from the 90 degree weather, and a jacuzzi tub perfect for two! The decor is something very special that we (as avid travelers in our retirement years) have never seen elsewhere. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast, cooked to order. My husband does not like omelet's, which was the featured item on Saturday, so Matthew offered eggs anyway he wanted. To offer something that was not even on the menu for the day was so nice. We felt very special. The waitress Mary was very delightful and helpful. She made sure our cups of coffee and juice were never less than half full. We have been at several high-dollar hotels and none could compare to the hospitality that we were given this weekend. In the evening we sat outside together sipping on our wine that was left in our room in the evening (compliments of the lodge) enjoying the beautiful back yard. The greatest surprise was our last morning. We informed Matthew that we had a long journey ahead of us and would be leaving well before breakfast and wanted to thank him for his hospitality. He asked what time we would be departing and we told him we would be leaving by 6:30 am. Much to our surprise, when we went down at 6:15 am, he was there and had made us scrambled eggs and bacon, and had coffee ready. We did not expect such great hospitality. We were very thankful to have a full warm breakfast before hitting the road for the long journey. As we left, my husband offered him a tip and he refused to accept it. He genuinely cared that we had a pleasant stay and that we were fed before we left. I cannot tell you how great it is in this time to have such amazing hospitality and warmth.

My husband and I booked a stayed here in St. Louis for my Birthday weekend on our way to Branson. We were more than pleased with the unique decor, it was very clean, warm and inviting. The innkeeper Matthew was very friendly and accommodating, he gave us great recommendations for local restaurants and the breakfast was amazing and I even received a birthday card which was a special touch. We would definitely recommend this B&B and will return in the future.
Thank you so much for taking the time to review our Inn! I appreciate your kind words. Thank you for spending your birthday with us. I look forward to your return visit!

A touch of old, a touch of new, and you have Christmas all year round. As you fall asleep in front of a cozy fire, let the sugar plum fairies dance in your head. This room also accommodates the handicapped.
The early years of expedition into the new frontier left artifacts both from the American Indians as well as the colonists. From soldiers to farmers, come share a piece of history and relive some of those days. The down home comfort of this room will make your stay a little less rugged than that of our forefathers.
Trout have been caught in the streams at Rockbridge for many years past. Some of these have been mounted and decorate this room. Our Rockbridge Room will relax you just as a wonderful day of fishing in your favorite stream. As you slumber in your bed, you can dream about the ones that got away. (Rockbridge has been a very special place for the Orlando Family for more than 30 years.)
The most recent frontier is our great state of Alaska. Much like any frontier, it has taken much hard work and many sacrifices to claim it. Spend a cozy night by the warm fire with mementos of beautiful Alaska.
