Beautiful B&B

I can't recommend the Dickey House Bed and Breakfast highly enough! My wife and I needed a night away and this place has it all. We enjoyed a wonderful room, comfortable bed, whirlpool, lovely garden, fascinating history of the place, and the friendliest hosts. Michaelene will give you a great tour and introduce you to famous people who've stayed here, and Larry is a great cook and artist. Enjoy conversation with them both. Book this B&B for your next getaway!

Fun Times

I enjoyed my stay at the Dickey House. It's a beautiful old home and we felt welcome. The room was a bit overpriced and the furnishings not exactly as described. Nonetheless I would go back. I would choose a less expensive option next time. I think the website should do a better job explaining that some of the "rooms" are not actually in the house and that the place sits right next to the train tracks. Not much for good restaurants in Marshfield. That's not Dickey House fault though.

I felt like a princess in a huge castle.a

I loved the history of the house. Larry's breakfast were beautiful and delicious. Something new and tasty each and every morning. I came to. see the Dickey House and the town of Marshfield. I have a friend that grew up there who is 94 years old. It was a great experience.

Outstanding B&B.

This is our second stay and we enjoyed every peaceful moment. Hard to believe, but the breakfast was even better this time than our first time when it was amazingly delicious. Larry & Michaelene are so welcoming and make you feel like you're right at home.

Larry and Michalene are awesome.

The owners of this house are awesome. They take the time to visit with you, give you a tour and background of the house and the food is very good. We are looking forward to going back and wouldn't stay any place else. Thanks for the great stay.

Wonderful hosts, but room had trash in it...

The Dickey House is beautiful. Their gardens are stunning, even in Winter. We stayed in the Queen Anne suite, which is separate from the main house. Our hosts were very gracious and the breakfast was amazing! They were happy to accommodate our special dietary needs. My only issue was the room. It didn’t look like it had been cleaned very thoroughly. I found candy wrappers around the TV, the little coffee pot in the room had an old coffee filter and grounds in it that I had to peel out, and the little creamers in the room were curdled. Also, they tout that each room has a jetted tub. What they don’t tell you is that there isn’t enough hot water to fill it and be comfortable to use. The owner gave us some tips on how to keep it warm, and we followed those instructions, but it was still only luke warm. All and all it was a wonderful stay, but a little more attention to detail would be great.

More than expected!

The innkeepers are so kind and friendly! We loved their stories about the inn and their world travels! We loved our romantic stay at the Carriage House and picked up decorating ideas we want to bring to our own home. It was a lovely 2-day stay!

Relaxing and quiet stay

The room was clean and comfy, but the breakfasts were AMAZING. Morning chats with the owners were an added bonus. Great stay!

Excellent place for a get-away

I went to Dickey House for a short get-away. It was perfect. Larry and Michaelene offered just the right combination of hospitality and privacy. They've taken great care in restoring their historic home, while making sure guests are comfortable. They've thought of everything to make my stay relaxing. And their breakfasts were outstanding! I absolutely will be going back! . . .Marie D.
