Have stayed here several times love it so nice and clean and the owner is very nice and helpful. So nice to just walk through town and sit on the porches at night and rock on the rocking chairs. We will return for sure.
We loved our weekend getaway at Garden Gate Getaway ! The location was perfect , not right downtown With all the traffic but close to all the attractions . We enjoyed the fields and horses outback. It's truly a relaxing and down to earth bed and breakfast ! Our room was spacious and we loved our couples massage . The breakfast every morning was handmade and served to you by Doug and Carol. We had the fire pit outback to enjoy and talk with others. I would change anything about our stay ! We enjoyed it so much !
It was just what we expected! Whenever we go on vacation we always try to stay at a cabin for a portion of time away from home. This was perfect! It was exactly what was on the website! The room was comfortable, rustic and charming. We would definitely stay again!
This place is so sweet and charming. My husband and I needed a reprieve from the stressful work schedule we have and it was just what we needed! Carol and Doug the owners take great pride in there sweet little B&B and it really shows. they were more then helpful in finding places to fit our agenda/needs and she went above and beyond in helping us find the perfect spot for an anniversary dinner! we stayed ina cottage and it was just a delight, there was a back balcony were we could sit and watch the horses and even feed them apples. Breakfast was always great and they have very warm hospitality. you can tell this is a dream for them and there pride really shows. you wont regret a visit. they are minutes from both Berlin and Millersburg but tucked away and secluded for the restful retreat we needed. We will be back for sure!
Staying in the falls kiss cabin was a great decision in our plans to visit Amish country. The room was beautiful and was set in such a relaxing area it truly was a getaway. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and filled us up enough to for day of adventures in Amish county. This was by far the best bed and breakfast we have stayed at.
We had a great stay at Garden Gate and left feeling that we had made friends. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and so peaceful. We sat by the fire pit in the evening and had a wonderful chat with the owners and in the morning enjoyed a very tasty breakfast prepared by Carol. Doug and Carol are clearly enjoying living their dream as innkeepers and it was fun to meet them. I hope we can pass their way again.
We are always so happy and pleased when we are going to Cobblentz. It is always a wonderful trip. They even did our dishes for us. Cookies waiting for us upon arrival. Such a wonderful idea. Keep up the good work. We will see you next fall!!
Our cottage was exactly as advertised. Big, clean and modern right on an Amish farm. Not only did we have a flat screen TV, and jacuzzi but the kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with bread, butter, jam, yogurt and beverages. We definitely will be back.
Had a great time and the cabin/treehouse was great. Would love to go back again maybe in the winter to see what's its like with snow. Gave unsatisfactory for onsite dining because didn't dine on site and not sure if there was dining available.
Lovely peaceful escape from the crazy fast pace of everyday life!! We SO enjoyed our visit. Carol & Doug go out of their way to make sure you have ALL you need. And we met some lovely people at breakfast. Visited many of the local towns, shops & wineries. And ate great local food (including Carol's DELICIOUS breakfasts!). My husband & I felt totally refreshed when we got home. And I just booked another visit for a weekend in December! This time my married daughter & me - a MOM-DAUGHTER retreat!! I can't wait!
Very pleasant innkeepers. Room was lovely and cozy. Only disappointment was breakfast. The breakfast casserole was basically frozen hash browns that were warmed in the microwave with a slice of Swiss cheese on top. Canned fruit cup, frozen brown and serve sausage, and a very dry and tasteless oat and cranberry cake. Expected some great Amish bakery, such as cinnamon rolls or muffins. And a egg casserole would've been good. Left hungry and looking for a place to have breakfast.
Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Doug and Carol made the stay so much better, so personable and friendly made us feel right at home. The breakfasts we had both morning were 5 star down home country meals great way to start the day. We'll be back!!!!!!!
We had an amazing stay first night in the Whispering Pines treehouse and then moved to the new treehouse 3 in Berlin Woods and that treehouse blew us away. We took so many pictures and can't wait to show them to our friends.
Our cabin offered more than what we expected, and we have stayed at Coblentz Cabins many times over the years. Our cabin was exceptionally clean; was convenient to everything that the lovely Amish community has to offer; and the views were so pleasing. Unanimous agreement to return every year!
We stayed at Pine cove in the treehouses, I HIGHLY recommend it. They are beautifully made and it was so peaceful. Just the getaway that we needed. The staff is so friendly and always answered the phone for our needs. Also the restaurants are located 5-10 minutes away. Everything was so close by.
This was our second stay at Garden Gate Get-a-Way! Awesome and Friendly owners, Excellent homemade Breakfast, Cozy evening outside fire. Rooms are always neat and clean. Attractions are close including Hershbergers Farm & Bakery (check out the fry pies) and various wineries. Thank you for a relaxing stay! We are looking forward to coming back.
The name says it all! A lovely spacious accommodation with beautiful views all around looking out to farmland with horses and cattle. I sat on the porch just relaxing and gazing at the scenery. It was so peaceful!! Sweet bread, homemade bread, strawberry jelly, and drinks were left in our kitchen. It was perfect except for the tiny TV.
Excellent location, easily accessible to all of the sites in the area. The cabin was very spacious and well-equipped and the beds were very comfortable. It was a very attractive and comfortable place to return to each day during our visit. (Please note that the ratings are flawed. The site requires ratings on ALL attributes despite the fact that there IS no onsite dining and we did not require any service.)
Delicious breakfast and beautiful setting. We had trouble sleeping in our suite (Magnolia) because the A/C unit was loud, and it was too hot to go without A/C. Would stay in another suite if travels bring us back to Millersburg again.
In addition to the coziness of this B&B and its location, the friendliness of the owners is what made this B&B so special. They are a very warm, hospitable couple who not only enjoy visiting with those who stay with them, but care deeply for their Amish and other neighbors. A highlight of our stay was that they arranged a dinner for us and other guests in an Amish home.
