We loved our stay at Bayview B&B! The location was wonderful, right on the water with the front door opening onto the main street on the island. Definitely be sure to be there at 3PM for the fresh baked cookies and at 8PM for the dessert. Delicious! Breakfast was wonderful as well. Rooms are clean and cute - ours was a bit small (my 6'3" husband had to duck when changing so as not to hit the fan), but that is just the layout of the building. We hope to return!

The staff is great, the service is great. Caution: Be sure to be back for the 8 pm evening desserts. We are re-booking for next year.

Everything was great stayed here 2 years ago and just made reservations for 2016 for several nights, can't hardly wait. I have checked all other B and B and none of them had the view you had and food and service. It was great looking out into the Lake on the patio roof, watching the boats pull in and out right next to us watching the stars just above the water. See you next year Bay View. Gayenel

Love this place! Such a lovely, restfull experience and great location. Constant smell of delicious cookies or muffins baking as you come and go during the day. Coffee available all day and breakfast and desert was delish! 3rd floor room near harbour was excellent. Small but very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Staff is wonderful. Will definitely return as soon as possible.

The food was excellent and wait staff was very kind and friendly. Our disapointment was due to the location and size of our room. It was so small that we literally had to use the only chair in there to place our luggage on because there was no where else to put it (if we used the luggage rack behind the door, we were not able to use the door) although now we had no where to sit. Our room was the first one to the left of the front door which meant that we had a great view of the street but it also meant that as long as there were guests on the porch we had no privacy unless we closed the curtains. Side window opened up to a bicycle shop which was the same scenario--no privacy. If we had been made aware of the size and location of the room we would not of spent so much money for a room that we did not get to enjoy. They were booked full so we were not able to get a different room and staff was very indifferent when we expressed our concerns regarding the inadequacy of the room. I'm sure they have other rooms that are larger with better views but for the money we spent, we would of expected to be able to enjoy our stay and that was not the case at all.

My wife & I stayed at the Bay View for our 10th anniversary and it was a great experience. The morning breakfast was great, prepared by Rose, and the afternoon cookies & coffee/tea was a nice added touch. The evening ice cream "social" was a great way to top off the evening after dinner on the island.

We stayed in Room 201, which has two views. Bed and breakfast was clean and welcoming. For the price I would've expected a bit more perfection in terms of the upkeep of the B & B, although we were there at the very end of the season so maybe they do all the maintenance on the off season. Kitchen staff were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was amazing, their coffee blend was great and we enjoyed the complimentary drinks and evening dessert. I would recommend this B&B and I would stay here again. It's a gem on the Island, for sure!!! It is expensive though.

We came to the island without reservations because it was off season. First week of Oct. We were met with wonderful hospitality. Our first night we had a smaller room, but for the 2nd night they upgraded us at no additional charge which was wonderful! Our room was beautiful. The breakfasts were delicious and the afternoon homemade cookies were wonderful, and to top off the day the desserts in the evening were fabulous. We can't wait to go there again.

Bay View was most accommodating during our weekend visit (pre-season) to move our 2 Carriage Tour employees to the island. My daughter felt like a princess in a castle, in awe of their rich, victorian decor. Mom enjoyed friendly, helpful service, cleanliness and attentive staff. Special requests were not ignored. Most fabulous breakfast service and menu! Top of the line for Mackinac Island, highly recommended if you want elegance and ambience + serenity. A PLUS: Beautiful weather in May!

My husband and I have never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. We have also never stayed overnight on the Island. We got a last minute booking in the honeymoon suite. It was awesome. Our room overlooked the marina. There was a jacuzzi tub, a kitchenette, a living area. The service was also excellent. We were allowed to bring out luggage before check in so that we could see the sights unencumbered. The afternoon snacks were good. Bay View even has their own blend of coffee. The evening that we were there, they served the best strawberry shortcake I've had. Yum! Another great aspect of the Bay View is their location. Of course, it's on the water, but you will also be very close to all of the action on main street and just down the hill from the fort. We had a wonderful experience here and you will too.
