Great place, lots of history.

4.4 on August 27, 2018

The bathrooms in some of the rooms are small but it's a1890s mansion that has been retrofitted. There is a balance between preserving the history and providing services that needs to be achieved so some of this is to be expected. The history of the place is great, the craftsmanship - amazing. Two words to describe the breakfasts; wow and yum. The way they do it requires that you conform to their schedule but it's worth it. Another thing to note, no TVs. For me that's a plus; not having the house filled with the sound of blaring TVs.

The inn does not look as it is pictured on the outside but it is beautifully maintained inside. Very clean. Very accommodating innkeepers. DELICIOUS breakfast, Cold beverages available 24 hours.

Wonderful Stay, wonderful hosts

I can’t say enough good things about this bed and breakfast! The Ricardi room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and Jason and Yuning were very kind and welcoming. The main house was beautiful and it was interesting learning about the history of the house. We hope to return soon!

Grand stay at Grand Victorian B&B

4.0 on June 19, 2018

My wife and I spent 2 nights here. The house is amazing with almost all of the features and furniture original to the house. The owner gave us a history of the house which was built in 1895 which was quite fascinating. The whole house is immaculate. Our room was spacious with original furniture and room decor. We had a private porch. The only complaint was that the bathroom is very small (which is why I did not rate it 5 star), although I understand that it was added at a later date and space constraints limited its size. The breakfast in the morning was prepared fresh and was very hearty and tasty. Note - I wanted to give 5 stars (outstanding rating) for cleanliness and value but was not able to select that option, so I had to give 4 stars (exceeded expectations)

First time is the best

First time but not the last

5 on October 14, 2017

This was the first time that my husband and I have stayed at a bed and breakfast, we were not really sure what to expect. The room that we were in was wonderful, king size bed, a jacuzzi tub and a stand up shower and a private bathroom. The owners were wonderful with my dietary needs no questions asked. We enjoyed talking with the others that were staying there at breakfast. It was wonderful

Delightful Stay

5 on October 09, 2017

My husband and I stayed at the Victorian B&B in early October. It was a delightful experience. I particularly enjoyed the gorgeous detail of the rooms and staircase, and we sat out on the porch to enjoy the sunshine. This house was clearly lovingly built and well maintained. The Victorian theme was carried out in each beautiful bedroom with lovely antiques everywhere. We looked forward to the variety of breakfasts served each morning and enjoyed the creativity. Our hosts were gracious and very knowledgeable about the history of the house. This B&B is close to many Northern Michigan attractions too. We will be returning next year for another visit.

Charming place to stay!

My family visited Bellaire early August and are really in love with this historical house. The room is clean and comfortable; the breakfast is delicious; and the innkeepers are polite and knowledgable particularly about the history of the house. The house itself is charming with lots of details, especially the antique furniture, which are definitely beautiful. I would choose to stay at this house again at my future visit to the region.

Nice enough but short on the food.

3.4 on August 28, 2017

Beautiful home, excellent craftsmanship and woodwork. Nice antique furniture. Bathroom had water pressure and the hot water in the shower ran out after about 15 minutes, so ladies be forewarned. The bed was comfortable and clean but could have been firmer for us. Good pillows. The window a/c unit kept the room cool enough in August. The breakfasts were quite minimal, however...small plate of fruit, small muffin, tiny portion of scrambled egg with one piece of french toast. Coffee wasn't brought out right away, so I had to go upstairs to the "pumper" carafe and pour our own starter cup. For this price, guests should have more breakfast food if they want it. The owners were very kind, polite, and knowledgeable about the house's history.

Innkeeper Response
Thank you so much for your stay with us. But we are so sorry that you did not have enough food for breakfast. We will take that point in mind and will try other ways to make every guest happy with their breakfast. We are sorry again for the hot water. Usually the Victoriana room is a bit slow for having hot water. I tried just a week ago, it took about 30 seconds to run the water before you can have hot water to take a shower. Anyway thank you again for your review. We will take your points in mind and try to improve our service to our guests. Have a wonderful day!

It was truly a pleasure staying in this beautiful B&B. Thank you for being so accommodating to our gluten free diets and going the extra mile and making the delicious chocolate muffins and the yummy oatmeal meal cookies. Learning the history of this beautiful home makes the stay all the more memorable. Should we be working in Michigan in the future, we would gladly stay here again.
