It was so relaxing staying at the Cottonwood Inn - Liz and Don are wonderful hosts and were very helpful and informative. Every morning we were treated to delicious breakfast made from scratch by Liz! For example, fluffy waffles with strawberries and cream, or cheesy omelette with baked donuts topped with a tasty glaze, with fresh coffee brewed each morning made for a good start to each day. As an avid birder, I was very pleased with the variety of birds that visit the feeders and they can be heard in the woods behind the Inn. The building is beautiful with a rustic warmth and together with the lovely decor Liz has created a very inviting and relaxing ambiance. There are thousands of books that one can read in several cozy spots. The Cottonwood Inn is conveniently located to everything. There is so much to see around Holland, I would love to visit again. Highly recommend the Cottonwood Inn.

My mother and I came to Holland for a biking weekend and decided to give the B&B experience a try. We had no idea what to expect and we are definitely hooked! We stayed in the John Calvin Room and there wasn't a dust bunny to be found. We did alot of biking during our stay and coming home to a bubble bath in the claw tub was heaven! Liz is like a calming butterfly. She's there when you need her and then when you turn around she's gone leaving you to enjoy your privacy. We loved waking up to Liz's smile and really enjoyed the conversations we had with her about the history of her home and how she came to be a B&B owner. We found we had alot in common with Liz but the BEST part besides her were the AMAZING breakfast(s) that she made for us! Our favorite meals that weekend were right there at the B&B. The food was phenomenal and the table was decorated so beautiful complete with candles. We really enjoyed the old fashioned way of sitting around the table all together with the other guests and having great conversation. That doesn't happen very often in today's world. It was a FANTASTIC way to start the day. I would describe the Cottonwood B&B and Liz as very welcoming, peaceful, calm relaxing and zen!!! Liz cuts no corners. She only has the best for her guests from the spa like sheets down to the organic ingredients she uses in her homemade breakfasts. We will be raving about this experience for weeks! Liz has set the bar high for our next B&B experience. It's going to be pretty hard to top her!

We had a great weekend here and Liz is a fantastic cook! The house has plenty of space is is about 2 miles away from the lighthouse. We ran up to it (all on trails) and did a 6 mile loop. Highly recommended.

Our granddaughter, a nursing student at Hope College in Holland, was being inducted into a National Nursing Honor Society in Grand Rapids and we needed to leave very early in the morning to get there on time. Proprietor Liz made us a special early morning breakfast so that we could be on our way in a timely manner. This was way earlier than her regular scheduled breakfast, but she went out of her way to accommodate us. Thanks Liz. Al & Virginia Trudeau, Oakland Township, Michigan

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we only hoped it was longer. I was so impressed with how immaculately clean our room, bathroom, and living space was. The home was a very cozy and relaxing place to be. I have a gluten-allergy and Liz was very accomodating, the breakfast and coffee were delicious. We definitely plan on returning.

The Cottonwood Inn is a wonderful place to stay. Liz was very welcoming, and offered great advice of places to visit in the area. About 15 minute drive to downtown Holland and Saugatuck, this bed and breakfast is ideally located. Bikes and kayaks are available and free to use. The breakfast was delicious, and Liz made us feel at home during our stay. We highly recommend The Cottonwood Inn. Jesse and Darcy

My husband and I stayed at Cottonwood for two nights for a short getaway. The B&B was conveniently located close to Holland State Park, Saugatuck State Park, and downtown Holland. Liz was very helpful in recommending things to do and places to eat. She also let us borrow her kayaks for a fun excursion at Lake Macatawa. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms were very nice! If we are ever in Holland again, we would stay at Cottonwood again.

My wife and I loved our stay at Cottonwood Inn. The house has a cozy, rustic feel. There is plenty of space to relax, read (in a reading nook), or play board games. The room we stayed in (John Calvin) was the biggest with a fireplace, walk in closet, sitting outcove, and its own bathroom complete with a 1911 tub! The other rooms were a bit on the smaller side but there are three communal living spaces to offer space and privacy. What made the stay for us was Liz's wonderful hospitality. She is very personable, and made us feel very welcome in a new environment. She recommended us the good local restaurants and even offered us coupons for a free dessert. She cooks an an incredible breakfast, and she is immensely kind. It snowed 5" during our stay, so she woke up early and shoveled a path to our car and even cleaned the snow off of our vehicle! I have never been treated so well by a BnB host. I don't think you could go wrong staying here!

Cottonwood Inn was truly an awesome retreat. Very charming and impeccably clean. Liz, the innkeeper, was so gracious and welcoming. We stayed in the Jonathan Edwards room, it was clean and very comfortable. We had Belgian waffles loaded with fresh strawberries and sausage on the side. The second morning we had blueberry baked French toast with bacon on the side. Both breakfasts were homemade, delicious, and filling! Snacks, coffee, tea and water were always available. Cottonwood Inn is ideally located in the town of Holland, MI. Even in the middle of winter we didn't have enough hours in the day to do all that Holland had to offer. We enjoyed the bustling downtown, full of boutiques, shops, and eateries, we also went resale shopping and didn't make it to all of the stores or any of the antiques shops! We will definitely visit again!

What a wonderful experience staying at the Cottonwood Inn. Liz, the owner was so accommodating. She shared key points of interests in the area and identified them on a map. Breakfast was filling and delicious. The house is spacious but quaint. The large sitting area w/fireplace in the John Calvin room offered privacy and the gathering room w/fireplace offered a warm social environment. It's located 1/2 mile from the lake and the lighthouse is a short walk from the parking lot. Great location, great experience.
