Recently voted the 12th Best Overall Bed & Breakfast in North America, Bellaire Bed & Breakfast sits at the top of a hill at the end of a tree lined drive. Located in a tranquil setting with delightful gardens, hammock and shuffle board court, yet the village is only a short walk away with quaint shops, movie theater, brew pub and fine dining. In the morning we serve a hearty breakfast that features a hot main dish, fresh homemade breads and muffins, fresh fruit, juices, and gourmet coffee, teas & hot chocolates. The cherry-paneled library is filled with hundreds of books, a blazing fireplace in winter and chairs to sink into, hiding away, dreaming of distant lands and adventure. Discover the sunken garden and enjoy a private sunny afternoon. The main house has 5 rooms all with private bath, queen size bed, air conditioning, in-room WIFI and wired high speed access in the Sitting room. Our carriage house features four luxury rooms all with private bath, king size bed, gas fireplace, TV/DVD, air conditioning, high speed WIFI and wired Internet access. Each afternoon, we gather on one of the wonderful porches or parlors and wind down or share stories over a glass or two of wine. We just finished another enjoyable stay at the Bellaire B&B and have been doing so since it opened. We think of it as our “up north home,” but with none of the work thanks to Jim and Dave. They truly go above and beyond to exceed your expectations, whether it is your first or your twentieth visit.

This was not the first time I have stayed here. The quality is going down. This week it got to where I did not want to go to breakfast. The staff stand in the dining room the entire time. If they stayed quiet that would be fine. The people at table are talking and the staff need to interrupt and talk. The lady working told us about ALL the animals she has. WHO CARES!! It is a very nice place to stay if you don't have to deal with Jim and that female staff person. It is more like a timed robot now.
We would like to thank this guest for their assessment of their breakfast experience. We continually strive to offer an experience for our guests that goes above and beyond. The information that was shared regarding their breakfast experience will help us to improve our interactions with future guests. As stated in their review, the guest has stayed with us on previous occasions. When guests check out, we most always ask them what we could have done to make their stay better. We are saddened that any guest would not feel comfortable providing feedback (positive or corrective)that would help us to improve what we do. Thank you again for your review as this encourages us to strive to provide an experience that exceeds our guests expectations. David and Jim

We stayed here on a Friday night in April so we took advantage of their anniversary pricing. We were warmly greeted by Monica and she informed us of their hospitality hour. The room was everything we needed. The breakfast the next morning was delicious! An added bonus is this place is within walking distance of Short's Brewing! We will definitely be back.

This was our first bed and breakfast experience and we thought the hosts went above and behind! They provided us with cookies on our night stands which we loved and they had snacks, water and pop always in the fridge for us! We really enjoyed the discount card that we got for all the stores/restaurants in town. our favorite was the mug club that we got to use at Shorts brewery! We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast and will be back!

The Bellaire Bed and Breakfast is my favorite bed and breakfast! From the variety of nine exquisitely decorated rooms and gorgeous landscaping, to the full breakfast and evening wine hour, nothing is overlooked! This visit was with my daughter, but I try to come up several times a year to encounter all the different seasons in Northern Michigan! Romantic Getaway? Personal Retreat? Girls Weekend? Bellaire Bed and Breakfast is your destination!!! I absolutely LOVE IT!

My fellow guests and I specifically left our daily activities to come back for social hour with the hosts. Dave and Jim and personable and silly and engaging. The rooms and grounds are pure perfection, and there isn't enough room in my stomach for the delicious breakfasts..... but I made room!!
