From Camden, drive approximately 10 miles south on Route 1 to Rockland, Maine.Follow sign (turning left) to Maine State Ferry terminal. Catch ferry to Vinalhaven and enjoy the 1hr 20 minute ferry ride. When you disembark the ferry, take a left and proceed down Main Street through Town. Just about 1/2 mile down,the sidewalk to Payne Homestead meets the bend of Main Street at the granite trough dedicated to Moses Webster. If driving, take the first right after the bend (at the Town bandstand and galamander) onto SChool Street,and then an immediate right onto Atlantic Ave. Our parking lot is on your left, the first house on Atlantic Ave.
