Sue and her Husband were such great host - so very friendly and forthcoming. We stayed at their place off-season and they still went through the "usual troubles" just for us (despite being the only ones there). Everthing is made up with so much love for the detail and Sue must own about 20.000 books! The house is super cozy, only the bed in the "Seregety" room is a bit narrow for two adults - but we managed ;) Also the breakfast was delicious!!

We had such a nice time staying at the Chocolate Chip B&B. We stayed in the Mrs. Muir room and it was lovely. Eric and Sue were very helpful and shared with us what to see in the area. When we arrived after dinner one night, chocolate brownies were waiting for the guests! Breakfast was wonderful as well. I would highly recommend this B&B. It's quiet and away from the crowds in Bar Harbor.

We loved this B&B. Eric and Sue were warm and friendly, the inn was quaint and lovely, and the breakfasts were out of this world. The inn lived up to its name, and served chocolate chips often and well!!

Our stay was fantastic. The host was incredible--very accommodating. Breakfast surpassed all expectations. Sue is a superb cook. The room and common areas were quaint, clean, and interesting. Lots of books and puzzles, as well as an ideal location right down the street from the beach and on a beautiful pond. I would definitely stay there Again and recommend to any traveling in the area.

The owners of this bed and breakfast really make you feel at home and the breakfast was one of the best I've had! Very clean and peaceful with a great front porch with rocking chairs!

Situated about 25 minutes outside Bar Harbor, we appreciated the quiet and serene locale. Owners Sue and Eric warmly greet you upon arrival and have genuine interest in your trip, goals for the stay, and seem to really wish to get to know you. The house is a beautiful renovation of an existing structure from the 1800's, I think it used to be a school house, but you'd never guess from the homey atmosphere and wonderful additions to the original building. The rooms were very comfortable and quaintly decorated. Had we more time we'd have enjoyed spending a full day or two just relaxing in the house. The namesake is apt - chocolate chip cookies awaited us in our room and there were always scones or banana bread or some other treat available downstairs. Breakfast was wonderfully prepared and delicious. Sue is a great cook. Upon leaving we felt as family almost and our group exchanged hugs with Sue and Eric. We loved our stay and hope to return for longer in the future. Highly recommended!

We stayed here overnight and really enjoyed it. The b&b is clean and has a nice common area with lots of books, bowrd games and puzzles. There is a nice front porch with rocking chairs where you can enjoy a morning cup of coffee. Rooms and bathrooms are really clean. Sue prepared a wonderful breakfast and helped us with directions. I definitely recommend it!

I stayed here for one night in July and wish I had stayed for longer! The hosts were the most gracious and welcoming hosts I've ever met at a B&B. Although a good 25 minute drive from Bar Harbor, that ended up being a blessing because I got the best sleep due the peace and quiet. The house is all very homespun and comfy, which seems very fitting for the area. The rooms and particularly the bathroom were bigger than I was expecting given the price per night - a real value in this area! Breakfast was delicious, three courses, all hot and fresh. Coffee available all day, ample parking, free and good wifi, maps and books of area available for loan, and chocolate chip cookies were yummy! Really flexible hosts, no stuffy "rules" like a lot of B&B's have. Didn't make time to sit on the front porch and read a book, but next time I definitely will, and there WILL be a next time. Love it!

For our Maine summer vacation, my wife and I stayed four nights at the cozy and rustic Chocolate Chip Bed and Breakfast Inn (St. Germain Room) in the small town of Lamoine - about a half hour drive from Bar Harbor but on the doorstep of Lamoine Beach and Lamoine State Park. Sue and Eric are excellent and knowledgeable hosts who will make your visit to their inn a special one; they are very nice. If you have any dietary needs or restrictions (e.g., gluten free, lactose free), they will do their best to accommodate them. In addition, they can provide great recommendations for things to see and do, places to eat, and other events of interest. The inn is exceptionally clean and new (the owners built much of it themselves - a true labor of love - and opened it just a few years ago); the breakfasts are terrific; and the surroundings are peaceful with a nice pond on the grounds. We highly recommend this inn to anyone visiting the Downeast Acadia region.

We enjoyed our stay at Chocolate Chip Bed & Breakfast very much. This was definitely the best B&B during our holiday! Sue and Eric are perfect hosts, very warm and welcoming. Their house is wonderful decorated and spotless clean. In the evening we enjoyed choclate chip cookies and in the morning we had delicious breakfast. This is the perfect location for relaxing and exploring the Acadia National Park!

My husband and I were lucky enough to stumble onto this DELIGHTFUL bed and breakfast. Is is brand new with old world charm - a home to envy. Located half mile from a lesser known beach on Frenchman's Bay, this gem is off the beaten path and still close to all the attractions of Arcadia National Park. Drive over to Mt. Dessert Island to hike the beautiful mountains of Arcadia, or call the local kayak delivery man and kayak the calm waters of the bay - complete with eagles, seals, and dolphins. Return to your beautiful and peaceful room at Chocolate Chip B & B. Sue will cook you the BEST breakfast ever and she will make her delicious creations to your wants and needs (gluten-free, vegan, etc). Her gluten-free cookies and muffins were as good as her fabulous wheat-made ones. Eric and Sue are kind and caring. They thought of everything to make us feel welcomed and our stay comfortable. Ask them to tell you their story - it is inspiring! We can't wait to return.

Sue and Eric did a wonderful job of taking an old home and rebuilding it into a bed and breakfast. They tore down the barn and used it in building onto the home. The hospitality was great and Eric provided local travel tips. Sue's breakfasts were wonderful. It was very clean. Sitting on the front porch rockers in the morning with a cup of coffee added to our vacation and relaxation. It was wonderful and we would stay there again. We stayed two nights.

My husband and I found this wonderful B&B online and were immediately attracted to the delicious sounding name. Chocolate chip cookies at bedtime...how couldn't that be perfect? This adorable yellow house far exceeded our expectations. Sue and Eric tell a wonderful history of the making of this house -- how it was the dream of theirs to create a piece of home for Maine travelers. Six years of labor, love, energy, and time ... and what a beautiful product! The wooden flooring is gorgeous, and this family renovated everything themselves (tore down the barn and used the wooden paneling throughout --Work of art! You should ask to see the original photos to compare!) The new renovations include 5 guest rooms that are thoughtfully and uniquely decorated. Sue makes her own quilts for each room! We stayed in the "Mrs. Muir's Room" (Nautical Room) -- lots of natural sunlight, beautiful decor, comfortable bed, and spacious bathroom! Views of both garden and pond. Each of their five children named a room, so each have their own personality and charm. We stayed 2 nights and the first morning Sue made us delicious Belgian waffles, yogurt & granola, and sausages. The second morning was white chocolate pudding parfait, Snickerdoodle muffins, and strata. Absolutely perfect both meals! True to the name "Chocolate Chip B&B," both breakfasts had sprinkles of chocolate chips cleverly incorporated into each. If you have a sweet tooth, this is going to be your breakfast heaven! (and if you don't, you can ask Sue to make you anything to your liking!) Both Sue and Eric were very gracious hosts and offered many recommendations on activities to fill our remaining days in Bar Harbor. There is plenty of lounging space (library, living room, large breakfast room, etc.) with books, magazines, and games. We also had a nice jog/walk along the beach and cooled off on the rocking chairs on the front porch afterward. We had such a wonderful time staying with Sue and Eric, and will be sure to return!

The rooms are fantastic, the food is great, the establishment is perfect. The location is ideal and the morning sun coming thru the east side windows was refreshing. Eric and Sue treat you like family, and are very warm and easy to talk to. I didn't want to leave! Give it a shot...you will not be disappointed!

We often travel to the near by Lamoine beach. We loved the outside appearance of this B&B. So for our anniversary we gave them a call. Eric and Sue are amazing hosts. Our room had everything we needed and was clean. The main gathering areas were stocked with games, book and puzzles. Our favorite part of our weekend away were the quiet mornings with coffee and a lovely breakfast! We will be making this a semi annual place to stay! ~ Mr and Mrs Dorr

Visiting the Chocolate Chip B&B was a welcomed experience. Hosts Eric and Sue have thought of everything to make a guest feel at home, from homemade quilts on the beds, public rooms full of books for leisurely reading, rocking chairs on the porch and especially the Belgian waffles for breakfast. If you are fortunate, you might even be treated to the duckling parade, as momma leads her brood to the pond on the property. A photo opportunity not to be missed. I definitely recommend the Chocolate Chip B&B for a relaxing get-away. A Connecticut traveler.
