The Tawesmore Inn

26432 Asbury Ave , Crisfield, MD 21817 USA (Show map)

This beautifully restored historic 1910 home has opened its doors as a Bed and Breakfast in the waterfront community of Crisfield, Maryland. We invite you to be our guest as you explore Somers Cove and beautiful Somerset County, Maryland. The Inn is located within minutes of several recreational and scenic waterfront areas. As quoted in the Crisfield Times in 1911, we offer "rooms of mammoth proportions" in a beautifully restored 1910 Craftsman style home. Fully modernized with central air, wi-fi and cable TV it maintains it's enduring charm with 10ft ceilings, oak flooring, beautifully detailed oak woodwork and and inviting wrap around porch.Crisfield and the seafood industry are synonymous and the town features excellent seafood restaurants. Crisfield is proud of its ties to the Chesapeake Bay. In its hay day it was known as the crab capital of the world! Each year on the third Wednesday in July we host all of Maryland for the J. Millard Tawes Crab and Clam Bake. We are home to the annual National Hard Crab Derby each Labor Day weekend. Janes Island State park is a few minutes away as is the Somers Cove Marina. There are places to rent kayaks, canoes and bikes. Bird watching is unsurpassed. Crisfield is the boarding port for day trips to both Smith and Tangier Island, both of which should not be missed! The eastern shore - the land of pleasant living. Come visit, you'll be glad you did!
