This is a beautiful Manor House, part of a Plantation that we've enjoyed staying at when we come to Kent Island to visit family. We've stayed there twice and have found the home very comfortable and inviting. The accommodations are fine; however,in order for just two of us to stay and be within reason of other hotel fares, we stay in the Skipjack Room, which has a private bathroom, down the hall. This is a bit inconvenient since you must be "dressed" to go to the bathroom. However, the other rooms have two bedrooms and a bath and more room and more room than we need and, obviously, cost more. The inn keeper is very nice and friendly. The sunroom for breakfast is beautiful. The food is okay, but not near as good in quality and originality as other B&B's we've stayed at. Food was "overdone" this time. This whole area of River Plantation is beautiful and has walking paths and other outside activities that we enjoy.

An exquisite setting, spacious house and rooms, and a vivacious innkeeper added up to a wonderful couple days for our family. Riding the available bikes, walking the property, swimming in the pool....we wanted to visit the Eastern Shore but ended up just wanting to stay put and read on the glassed in back room. Thanks, Ann, for a wonderful weekend.
