Inn BoonsBoro

1 North Main Street , Boonsboro, MD 21713 USA (Show map)

With the warmth and welcome of a bed and breakfast combined with the luxury of a boutique hotel, Inn BoonsBoro offers you an unforgettable experience. Housed in the first stone building constructed in the historic town of Boonsboro, the inn was updated in 2008 with a three-million dollar remodel and renovation. Throughout this extensive renovation, we have honored the dignity and charm of this historic site while designing a small hotel to meet the most discerning guests' expectations. Our guests can choose from among eight rooms, including two suites and a ground-floor ADA compliant guest room. With the exception of The Penthouse, all our rooms have been inspired by literary romantic couples.

Pure Delight

5 on July 19, 2016

My kids gave us the weekend get-away, which was our first vacation without them in 23 years! The Inn Boonsboro provided the most perfect relaxation weekend. Every facet of stay went beyond all of our expectations. We even ate twice at Dan's Restaurant and Tap Room which was within walking distance right next door. Every detail was amazing and we can't wait to go back!

We will be back.

It was a night that was perfect. Everything was better then I imagined. Beautiful room, friendly hosts, wonderful breakfast. But to make the most you really need 2 nights.

Excellent Stay

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. Can't wait to do it again.

The best B&B in the USA

5 on July 17, 2014

I am a huge Nora Roberts/JD Robb fan and have read every word that she has written. Staying here was a no-brainer for me. However, it exceeded all expectations. I have been there twice. I even went alone last May. (My son told me that it was pathetic to stay at a B&B alone, but it was therapeutic, not pathetic.) I was not lonely for one minute--the staff is too wonderful to be lonely. I stayed in Eve and Roarke--it was perfect. I slept like a baby. I was also right next to the library, so I had my evening Keurig tea with a shot of Jameson's (complimentary) and several cups of my beloved morning coffee--while still in my bathrobe. I also had outside access without going into a hallway. The bathroom is full of superlatives---a giant soaking tub with real bath salts and a "magic potty" that washes and dries you. The breakfast was outstanding--and I have traveled all over the world. This breakfast was definitely top 5--and I have been to Paris and Rome. My only regret was that I didn't stay for more nights.

Staff, rooms, food, everything was amazing! Will return again and again!

a day in our lives

5 on July 15, 2014

My sister and I had planned a trip together while I was visiting. Her daughter wanted to get in on the act as well. She offered to drive us as she was on vacation as well. Being a Nora Roberts fan, and just finishing the trilogy on the Inn, it was perfect place to go. We were not disappointed. We were treated like royalty from start to finish. It was wonderful to be so pampered. The food was to die for. I can’t say enough. Bravo!

47th Anniversary

Exceeded our expectations in every way. The staff and innkeeper were perfect hosts. We stayed in the Jane and Rochester room and every detail was perfect down to the scent of the room. Ed and Rita Lawson

Fourth of July at Inn BoonsBoro

5 on July 07, 2014

Our stay was wonderful! The staff friendly and welcoming, the innkeepers couldn't have done more to make our stay more pleasant, our room was very clean and beautiful, the food excellent, other guests charming and the townspeople very friendly. The only negative thing about our stay was that we had to come home. It was the best time my husband and I have had away together. We celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary there and hope to return someday again.

From Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. While there's no madwoman in the attic, you'll step back in time to Thornfield Hall with our guest room inspired by Jane Eyre. The romantic atmosphere begins with the room's private entrance off the second story porch, where you're greeted by the firelit ambience of 19th century England. Elizabeth and Darcy

From Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Miss Bennett and Mr. Darcy would certainly approve of the distinction with which we've appointed our Regency-style guest room. The king bed, adorned by a richly-appointed head- and footboard, invites you to slip under the soft cashmere throw, settle back on our multitude of pillows to enjoy the 32" flat screen TV. Or curl up with a book on the sumptuous velvet side chair with a cup of complementary tea or glass of wine and enjoy the peace of an English country house. The exquisitely refined bath is a fine marriage of English charm and modern contrivance with a traditional claw-foot slipper tub designed for long bubble baths and a shower enhanced by four body jets. Let our English Lavender bath amenities transport you back to the courtly and romantic age of Pride and Prejudice.

Indulge the fantasy of magic and fairies and moonlit nights while cocooned in superlative sheets and deliciously abundant pillows. The fairy queen herself would delight in the fanciful bath with its deep copper tub, designed for soaking, where your worries will be charmed away. Like magic, you can sweep forward in time into the bewitching and invigorating shower with modern body jets. The convenience of double sinks takes a charming turn with hand-crafted, flat-backed copper vessels. Shower yourself with a little Pixie Dust from our bath amenities and let the enchantment begin.

Eve and Roarke

From the In Death novels by J.D. Robb. The future is now in our guest room inspired by Eve and Roarke from the In Death novels. Neither work nor worry (or murder!) can compete with the calm invoked by the sleek lines of the European king platform bed, with a headboard that illuminates in a distinctly ahead-of-its-time fashion. Roarke's penchant for antiques combines with Eve's living in the future spirit to produce an exceptional antique-style dresser, and Louis XV chairs in smoky lucite. Disappear into a book or watch some screen in the comfort of the ultra-modern womb chair.

The fairy tale begins with a pirate--oops private--entrance off the third floor porch, like a secret entrance to a privateer's cave. Without having to utter a single password you'll find yourself in Westley's and Buttercup's parlor, a cozy room bestowed with the riches of the most successful pillager. Indulge in a nap on the decadently comfortable sofa.
