Really enjoyed our stay

4.0 on October 16, 2017

Richard, Joan and Lisa were wonderful hosts. We were in Mr. Whistler’s Room #7 which was very large and comfortable. The bathroom was a bit old fashioned with interesting old fixtures and was more than adequate but not what you would call high end. The common rooms and gardens of this gracious old mansion are truly remarkable. The house exudes charm and warmth, and we enjoyed chatting with other guests over breakfast in the beautiful dining room. Make sure to ask Richard to show the Travel Channel video about the ghosts in the house! I'm giving it four stars all around because it is not super luxurious but it was still a memorable and fine experience for us. The location is also very convenient to all the many attractions in the area. We traveled around quite a bit, visiting MoCa, The Clark Museum of Art, the Williams College Museum of Art, the Shakespeare Theater in Lenox and the Mahaiwe Performing Arts Center in Great Barrington, not to mention hiking in Kennedy Park, just a short walk from the Inn. So overall we had a wonderful long weekend in Lenox. The only disappointment was that the fall colors were not so spectacular this year.

Fourth of July in the Berkshires

3.8 on July 10, 2017

It's tough to find a reasonably priced B&B in Lenox over the Fourth of July. Whistlers Inn was not only a great value, but a full breakfast was included each morning. The innkeepers were lovely without being intrusive, and we were immediately made to feel welcome and at home. There's not a lot of available parking, but we managed to find a spot without a problem on both nights. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great stay with welcoming hosts

We (family of four, with 2 small kids) had a great 2 night-stay at Whistler's Inn. From the first moment, we felt welcome. The house was very cozy and nicely outfitted in period furnishings. Yet, there were no misgivings about our 4 and 7 year old kids using the library or playing the piano. Great breakfast, great location, very nice hosts. We would definitely recommend this Inn to our friends.

My stay

3.0 on September 18, 2016

My room had a pretty four-poster bed and a twin bed in an adjacent little room. It was very quiet. Appreciated that I had my own bathroom -- note that was built into the eave -- so it was a tight squeeze. The house is on a main road so you will hear traffic driving by, but that did not bother me. Breakfast was plenty with lots of choices in an elegant dining room. I felt like I was transported to the early 20s. I do wish the coffee tasted better, though.

Another lovely stay in Mr. Whistler's Room

4.8 on August 07, 2016

Very pleasant accomodation --the room is very large, with a sitting area at one end and the bed at the other. The Inn itself is charming and the grounds are large and lovely. Very convenient "back way" to Tanglewood from the Inn.
