Nestled in the harbor and located right in the historic district of St. Michaels, the Hambleton Inn is within walking distance of antiques shops, art galleries, and perhaps the finest seafood restaurants in the world. Located in St. Michaels, Maryland, one of the great sailing capitals of the world, and the site of Michener's novel Chesapeake, the Hambleton Inn is a treasure of the bay. Guest rooms are spacious and appointed with antiques and oriental rugs. Gourmet breakfast is served every morning. Attention to details, personal service and friendly innkeepers all make your visit relaxed and simply wonderful. Just an hour from Baltimore Washington International Airport, the Hambleton Inn is easily accessible, yet a wonderful retreat, right on the water in historic St. Michaels, the Nantucket of the Chesapeake Bay.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Hambleton Inn. Charles and Sherry are very welcoming hosts who prepared a beautiful homemade breakfast for us each morning, including Charles' excellent homemade granola and Sherry's fabulous "breakfast desserts". We enjoyed our morning coffee while taking in the view from the second floor porch, which overlooks the harbor. Thank you so very much for making our stay at your beautiful Inn very memorable.

My new husband and I stayed here for a couple of quiet nights after the craziness of our wedding. We were up in the attic in the Michener Suite for a 2 night stay (Tuesday and Wednesday). Tuesday we learned how to make Meyer Lemon crème in a cooking class (which was a huge hit with our family for Thanksgiving - we even found meyer lemons!). The town was VERY quiet (20 degrees in November) - but we browsed through the town and had fantastic dinners out with no wait times. The breakfast at the Inn both days was absolutely delicious and the bathtub in the suite was fabulous (my husband is 6'2 - and could almost entirely stretch out!) Warning: Ceilings are low in the Michener Suite (Hubby's hair brushed the ceiling when he walked around:) but don't let that deter you!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was perfect--close to everything and easy to walk to the main street. The hosts were fantastic and made delicious, homemade breakfast. Have a few bikes to ride around town. Perfect for a getaway.

The Hambleton Inn is located on the water right in front of The Maritime Museum and is a short walk to many restaurants and stores. The inn is very peaceful and has a pleasant view. We stayed in the Michener Suite on the 3rd floor. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. The owners / innkeepers, Sherry and Charles, were very friendly and helpful in recommending local activities, etc. They offer many brochures and maps for the area. They even offer a discount coupon for the Maritime Museum for their guests in addition to a complimentary copy of Michener's book “Chesapeake”. Being book lovers, this certainly warmed our hearts. The breakfasts were relaxed and absolutely delicious! Sherry served a unique french toast recipe that is among the best that I have ever tasted and, for the first time in my life, we had dessert after breakfast. We loved it and plan to recommend The Hambleton to our friends and family.

The Hambleton Inn B&B offered warm hospitality and was a wonderful place to stay. My wife and I found the Inn to be relaxing. It is convenieny located to the center of St. Michael's (about a half-block) and is near the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. The room was very comfortable, particularly the bed, and provided all the necessary conveniences. The port wine in the afternoon was a nice touch. Breakfast was delicious, and the service was great. We highly recommend it.

Nothing beats getting up in the morning and sitting by the water and having your coffee. Everything at the Hambleton was terrific, room, food, innkeeper and of course the location right on the water. Fantastic.

I am sorry we missed your breakfast for having to leave early. It was so kind of you to be sure we did not leave hungry, with the fruit and very good pound cake with strawberrys, it was just right. Thank you for your kindness.
