Elk Forge is a beautiful stone manor house built c.1760 nestled on 5 acres of wood and gardens along banks of the Big Elk Creek. We are located between Elkton, Maryland and Newark, Delaware in the serene village of Elk Mills. The area is rich with history and natural beauty and is less than three miles from I-95, twenty minutes to Wilmington Delaware. We are half-way between NYC and DC. We love to host meetings, weddings and receptions here. The property is extremely versatile and would be able to accomodate any other event type you can think of!

This place is amazing, quaint and lovely. When you first walk in, it feels like you are home. It was surprisingly quiet, i assumed that being a B&B it would be a bit loud with people coming and going but it was actually not that at all. Each room has such character, the breakfast area is perfect, with the sun coming in through the glass windows and doors. You have decks to lounge in, areas where you can pick a book and read or just sit and enjoy "me" time. Everyone there makes you feel like family and no matter how busy they are they still take time and take care of your needs. I am definitely going back.

This Bed and Breakfast was just like the ones that I watch on the Hallmark movie. It was so charming and picturesque. I have taken a lot of pictures, and one of them in particular I used on my desktop background at work, it doesn't even look real , it is too gorgeous !! The room was small but tidy, and the hot tub was just what the doctor ordered.. Staff was friendly, and the service was excellent... It was well worth the drive !

My husband and I truly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Elk Forge. From the moment we arrived we were treated with such kindness. Our room was huge and very comfortable. The breakfast each morning was very good and someone came around to check on us every day. We would definitely recommend this Inn and hope to stay there again soon.

We had a wondeful stay. The building and grounds are beautiful. The breakfast was good. We had a few minor complaints about the tv remote and showerhead, which the innkeeper has responded to and is addressing.

Had the opportunity to stay here with my girlfriend last weekend to celebrate our anniversary and am very glad we did! The owner, Harry, was kind enough to accommodate a (very) last minute room change and made sure we felt at home in his beautiful B&B. Would strongly recommend this to anyone looking to get away for a while!

We had a wonderful time! The room, building, and lands were so beautiful! We loved the putting range, the breakfast was delicious, and felt so comfortable coming back to our room each night after a day out. Definitely are planning on coming back!

After reading all the glowing reviews about the Inn, we were anticipating much more than was delivered. This establishment is desperately in need of refurbishment and redecorating. Our rooms were tired, tacky, and stifling with no ventilation or air conditioning. The bed was comfortable, however. If your idea of a great B&B breakfast is a packet of instant oatmeal or a conservatory filled with plastic plants, you'll love this place. If not, don't book it.
