We have stayed at the Inn many times. It is an extremely pleasant and accommodating place. Our room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is warm and friendly. For us, best of all is that the Inn welcomes guests with dogs. We will return to the Inn anytime we are in Portland. We never make use of the breakfast but there seems to be plenty choices available. I really appreciated how organized and attentive front desk and all staff were. They really care that each room is clean and comfortable and I really experienced this. I would absolutely stay there again.

We stayed one night in Room 106. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the wifi worked well enough to stream video without issue. Everything was clean, and the staff were very helpful (for example, after dinner we walked in with a bottle of wine and the front desk immediately asked if we would like wine glasses brought to our room). The breakfast is along the lines of what you'd find at a Holiday Inn, but it was nice that bottled water, coffee, and cookies are stocked. It's more like a hotel than a Bed and Breakfast, but it felt like a great value compared to the other B&B and hotel options in downtown Portland. Location was fine-- there is a grocery store and several casual restaurants nearby. We took an Uber to the Old Port district (~$5) and walked home (~20 minutes) without issue.

Traveling North needed a place to break the trip up. We've always stayed at the Inn when our daughter lived in Portland.

My fiance and I stayed at the Inn at St John when I ran the Maine Half Marathon due to its close proximity to the race start. The inn was cute and had its own charm - lots of stairs, and did not notice if they had an elevator. Our room was larger than expected, and we had a private hall bath. Rooms and bathroom were very clean. The breakfast was average - an assortment of pastries, fruit, and cereal. Overall, the location was good, and relatively close to downtown. It was perfect for what we were looking for.

The staff were terrific - very friendly, efficient and helpful. The room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The room had all of the amenities one would want. The decor is a bit old fashioned, but it was good value and I would stay again.
